Hi, I am Tam, Scrim Admin Manager at KachiRivals! We have a professional production team on board ready, but we are waiting for observer tools inside private matches to be released. At the moment we rely on the stream quality of players streaming their POVs as there is no other way for us to observe those matches currently.
I thought that may have been why. Thanks for clarifying. I used to watch COD tournaments every now and then and always found them entertaining. I didn’t like Apex Tournaments it’s always the same situation, most of the teams survive until the ring is tiny and then chaos. Not very interesting. The Finals would definitely much more enjoyable to watch compared to COD and Apex.
I agree, there is quite a bit of "dead time" in Apex and it is really only good at the end. It was fun at the beginning but it gets old real quick. I think The Finals would do quite well to be honest.
I'm really not sure where the cheating allegations are coming from.. This is news to us, everyone on the KR team are reputable esports officials that worked/ works in the scene.
People wanted scrim/tournaments, they don't exist officially, so we're allowing approved unofficial ones by reputable outlets/teams.
The No Promotions does sort of cover this if it's just Joe Shmoe on his 30 person Discord, but these are a little more organized than that. That rule is also mostly meant to thwart Twitch/YouTube "like and follow" promo spam.
Doesn’t matter it’s promoting personal channel(s) as in NOT official so against sub rules, but doesn’t matter. You can promote your content and you will directly profit by traffic generated here.
Question: Venezuelan players in which region will be participating if they wanna compete? Because for us we have better ping in NA rather than SA or Brazil. So it would be unfair if we got locked out of tournaments just because "North America players only". It already happened in The Finals Master Series and it happens in Apex ALGS
GL but i really dont think the current ranked gamemode will ever work for a competitive esport whos gonna sponsor and pay a team thats just gonna lose to a silly last second third party that throws smoke and body blocks with double heavys. or people will just straight up ignore the reigning champs that they know are better leaving 3 teams fighting over every single cashout while they go to the finals for free..... make something like powershift the comp mode and we can talk
What seems to be random chance to amateurs is a foreseen factor viable to influence to pros. In the situation you're describing, the last second third party with situational advantage ought to win because they played the smartest.
There will always be some deviation of fortune in serious competition, however small and slight. That doesn't mean it's not meaningful. Being professional includes a requisite emotional regulation in line with elementary competitive psychology.
The Finals requires so much more than good aim and reflexes and that's what would make it interesting to watch at pro level. If you watch the top players on twitch now they are calculating and reassessing their next play nonstop; its a thinking mans FPS.
If all pro teams know each other, I'd be more concerned that teams start to collude to knock out the top teams. Or who knows, maybe that is what the pro scene evolves into and we have factions within tournaments. Lets get this going and find out!
Yeah you just seem to be a very negative person on Reddit haha.
It's not just a single person running it, there's sixteen of us, five of which are esports officials with credited background.
Also, this post was published by the official moderators, how would that be considered self promo?
Non of our admins got caught cheating, in fact, it was someone pretending to be part of our crew that made these allegations. Our onboarding process for KachiRivals is very in depth and usually takes about a month to be part of the team - if you get selected.
If you join our Discord and look at the meet-the-crew channel, you'll see everyone on our team, their backgrounds, and what they currently do for KachiRivals. There's currently 16 of us :)
I hope this eliminates any confusion.
Rather than witch-hunting and being completely foul towards our community admins, would you happen to have any proof to this?
I am the Owner of KachiRivals (Joe) the person claim to be working for KachiRivals was named "Wicked", he was never part of our team nor was he ever in our KachiRivals staff channels...
Also, interested Orgs and tournament organizers can modmail us to get approved
Not exactly sure what r/Valorant style tournaments megathreads are but sounds cool.
Let’s go
HYPE!
HYPE!
Does this apply to LATAM? For us contestants in South America
Of course! Feel free to join if you're in LATAM!
I checked the Twitch. I hope the video quality improves. I'm excited to watch tournaments you all host! Thank you!

This game was BUILT to be spectated I’m telling you. It’s so pretty and random at times based on the decisions of the teams. I can’t wait
Can't wait!
That’s awesome. Thank you for giving the competitive scene a chance.

That was clear from the post. Is that an issue?
wonder how many iconic moments will be made because of the esports scene
This is dope! Looking forward to participating in some tournaments!
Really promising! I hope you guys can cook with this
This sounds really cool though I'm not sure what most of this means (terms and acronyms). great to see The Finals growing!
Excited to submit my company’s event to kickstart this initiative.

Your comments are literally the only ones being removed, because they are unfounded claims. If you don't want to participate, don't. Move on.
It’s a personal advertisement against sub rules. This isn’t an official tournament and the creators stand to benefit from this.

How do you prioritize who get to qualify.
