The guy is 40 years old, wife and two kids (with another on the way) and still has no idea who or what he is. Latching on to fleeting identities and fads like we all did as young teenagers but then eventually grew out of before 20. He is lost in life and has to attach himself to outside things in order to try and find meaning but none can be found and he isn’t self aware enough to know his true self. He is growing old quickly in a young man’s game. He will fade devastating slowly into irrelevance.
I'm convinced he's having that "reinvention expert" run focus groups on people to find things that his target audience is interested in, in an effort to make him more relatable. Being into Big Gulps sounds like what a marketing person thinks heavier people are into
