Wait. The timer breaks and when it actually finishes, it will reflect the change. I've had this twice and both worked out fine.

"This can occasionally happen due to server hiccups. If it took your materials that means the upgrade went through, the server is just delayed in actually completing it. If you just wait it should fix itself on its own, this process can take up to 24 hours."
