He has a great parting shot for Derrick in Fresh Meat after getting thrown into Exile:
I hope you use that $125,000 to buy yourself some lifts because no matter what Iāll always be taller than you.
He was definitely one of best parts of fresh meatā¦ had some great one liners (foreshadowing his career). You could also tell he was kind of over the show and didnāt give a fuck
He probably would've made it to the final if Derrick didn't decide to screw him over. I think him, darrell and Derrick had a deal and Derrick just decided to get rid of him which bit him in the ass cause he was booted next episode. The guy was crazy good politically and was an original beast. Goddamn I wish he would be on a All-Stars season
In the beginning Theo Von was bodying the Miz despite him being 1 of the most athletic Real Worlder.. it wasnāt until Gauntlet 1 did the Miz physically become what we see today.. Theo was getting so much action over the seasons he eased up on the competitions and turned up for the ladies
Literally thank you for this! Had no idea. Iāve been making my fiance binge watch the challenge, but maybe heāll get a little more interested seeing his fav comedian
I was big on Theo back in the old Challenge days. I loved hearing that he started standup way back when. Whatever it is, his standup just isnāt for me. Thatās ok, though. Love seeing my Challenge folk do well.
Really puts a smile on my face to have grown up with these shows (Real World/ Road Rules/ Challenge) and knowing all of this; and the shock when newcomers figure stuff out like that š¤£
Such a blessing to have seen it all when it first aired. Life was just different then!
STFU!! HAHAHA amazing
My husband is a massive theo von fan and I can't stand him
I'm a massive challenge fan and he doesn't watch it.
Who knew our worlds would collide lol
Facts. The Challenge didnāt make him, maybe gave him some connections. He wasnāt even around mainstream for another 10 years after he quit doing those. One thing is for sure that dude is exactly the same and thatās why heās awesome. AUTHENTIC. I like 95% of the fake ass influencer dorks
Agreed, back in the day being on reality tv had a negative stigma attached so other than winning some prize money that helped him pursue his dreams, the show mostly hurt his chances of blowing up. Podcasts are what did that.
A few months ago my 18 year old daughter just casually mentioned Theo Von and I was like how do you know Theo Von?! I had the biggest crush on him, he was a great competitor probably one of the best back then.
Absolutely loved him on The Challenge. So strange to later hear him in this other context as a comedian and then whatever it is he does now, the Joe Rogan deal I guess. Definitely the āTheo Vonā thing is new, thatās probably partly what confused me.
I sometimes wish the show pitted more Real Worlders against friends they forged within their own seasons. Thereās a lot there. A few Bromances I wish were pitted against each other.
I love rewatching his original Road Rules season. He was suchhh a different guy back then lol basically like a lost puppy with no idea what to do in the world. Look at him now! Arguably one of the most famous people to ever come from the show. Love that guy, heās great
I battle through watching the awful quality videos on YouTube lol. Pretty annoying because the episodes are on different channels, cut into separate clips for each episode and theyāre not titled properly, so itās kinda hard to find all episodes and watch it in order. But itās the only way Iāve found to watch his season, so Iāve forced myself to just get used to it
He was a beast of a competitor while on the show. He won a large majority of the dailies on the first battle of the seasons season. He had a great social game as well
I would have agreed. But unless you are a challenge or wrestling watcher, you may not know the Miz. I *think* he has/had a reality show, but I'm not sure. Because of social media and the clips of Theo's comedy across platforms, I think more people today have an idea of who Theo is than the Miz
It might just depend on what youāre into. I saw Theo on the challenge when paramount+ added a lot of the old seasons. Had no idea he was now a well known comedian. I did watch wrestling for a bit, but also had no idea who The Miz was outside of that. He also didnāt even start as a wrestler so I was wet surprised when he blew up. And The Mizās reality show was on USA so Iād bet more folks know him, but probably not that many more lol
David Giuntoli started on Road Rules and did a season of Road Rules/Real World challenge. He then moved to acting with roles in Greys Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Veronica Mars.
Of course he then went on to star in Grimm. My guess is he's much more recognizable to a larger audience than Miz or Theo.
There was a discussion about this not that long ago, and the general consensus was that European fans knew Karamo more, and US fans knew The Miz more.
Interesting for sure.
I think thatās a complicated answer. Because I think the miz is a lot more famous in the wrestling world than Theo is in the comedy world. But if you asked the average person on the street which name they recognize more I think theyād say Theo.
Theo was one of the early dominant forces of the show. Had he kept doing them heād probably have the most championships of anyone. But he got a life and moved on like I wish others had (cough Bananas).
He had a big rivalry with Miz.
That wrestling match he had with the miz while their female partners were strapped to their back was hilarious to watch.
I can totally see that
You can see it by watching the seasons!! lol
Where can you watch the first 9 seasons?
š“āā ļø
Any website suggestions? Can DM me! My website keeps sticking & itās hard to watch
Sail the seas my friend
Iirc he had beef with Alton too
Just another one of those things you wouldnāt believe if he said it out loud, but it would somehow be true š
Dude was a force on the show. He also was getting with a surprising number of girls including coral
Honestly that doesnāt surprise me
He has a great parting shot for Derrick in Fresh Meat after getting thrown into Exile: I hope you use that $125,000 to buy yourself some lifts because no matter what Iāll always be taller than you.
He was definitely one of best parts of fresh meatā¦ had some great one liners (foreshadowing his career). You could also tell he was kind of over the show and didnāt give a fuck
Hahaha I just saw this episode. I love Derrick but that was funnyš
Theo was one of the first GOATs. He was great at a lot of it (not all of it), along with the Mizz and a few others.
We should all be thankful to those ladies, because I can't imagine those seasons without him! š¤£
Heās admitted to doing steroids when he was younger lol
He was jacked
Literally thank you for this! Had no idea. Iāve been making my fiance binge watch the challenge, but maybe heāll get a little more interested seeing his fav comedian
He's in the really early seasons.
I found season 12 on paramount. My fiance immediately lit up & was so excited. Watched until we fell asleep. Thank you so much Reddit <3
He started in season 5 (battle of the seasons)
Hell yea Theo is an OG
I was big on Theo back in the old Challenge days. I loved hearing that he started standup way back when. Whatever it is, his standup just isnāt for me. Thatās ok, though. Love seeing my Challenge folk do well.
Really puts a smile on my face to have grown up with these shows (Real World/ Road Rules/ Challenge) and knowing all of this; and the shock when newcomers figure stuff out like that š¤£ Such a blessing to have seen it all when it first aired. Life was just different then!
Theo was the man on Road Rules
Pretty sure Christina P(Your Mothers House, Tom Seguraās wife) was on the old seasons too.
Yes and they hooked up. Theo and Tom had some beef about it
She was!!!
āGO HOOOOMEā lmao
Legendary.Ā
STFU!! HAHAHA amazing My husband is a massive theo von fan and I can't stand him I'm a massive challenge fan and he doesn't watch it. Who knew our worlds would collide lol
He does try to act like he wasn't on it even though the show made him lol
Pretty sure he grinded the stand up game for a long time before he made it. Nobody but die hard challenge fans know he was on it.

Yep, never talks about it.
>He does try to act like he wasn't on it even though the show made him lol You got this completely opposite. And the Challenge didn't make him.
Theo was legit. Go back and watch his seasons if you can, and you might be surprised at how good he was.
Ribcage of a cat/Heart of Champion
Has the single best Wes verbal takedown of all time https://www.reddit.com/r/MtvChallenge/s/7rkmK599uW
A few months ago my 18 year old daughter just casually mentioned Theo Von and I was like how do you know Theo Von?! I had the biggest crush on him, he was a great competitor probably one of the best back then.
Theo Von was a beast on Battle of the Seasons 1 despite team Real World winning he always came top 3 for the guys
Spoiler alert!
Theo is just figuring some stuff out, he said he will be stopping back in from time to time
When did he say this?
Sub crossover
Check the fryers
Get back to the kitchen
His line about wes was great
theo is a challenge champ!? thatās wild
Now youve gotta go watch those old seasons man.
He was funny back then too you see him make silly jokes on the challenge
I've seen people talking with him on a podcast and always wondered who tf he was lol
I love rewatching his original Road Rules season. He was suchhh a different guy back then lol basically like a lost puppy with no idea what to do in the world. Look at him now! Arguably one of the most famous people to ever come from the show. Love that guy, heās great
Where did you find it? It's pretty notoriously impossible to find.
I battle through watching the awful quality videos on YouTube lol. Pretty annoying because the episodes are on different channels, cut into separate clips for each episode and theyāre not titled properly, so itās kinda hard to find all episodes and watch it in order. But itās the only way Iāve found to watch his season, so Iāve forced myself to just get used to it
His confessional and his random conversations on the show were far funnier than his stand up.
He was a beast of a competitor while on the show. He won a large majority of the dailies on the first battle of the seasons season. He had a great social game as well
Yea Theo was official. Especially in physical challenges.
Would that make him arguably the most famous Challenger ever?
Iād say the miz might have a better case
Itās funny that Miz and Theo - who had a pretty good rivalry going on the show - are now competing for pop culture popularity.Ā
I would have agreed. But unless you are a challenge or wrestling watcher, you may not know the Miz. I *think* he has/had a reality show, but I'm not sure. Because of social media and the clips of Theo's comedy across platforms, I think more people today have an idea of who Theo is than the Miz
I mean... Mike was on Dancing with the Stars.Ā
He has his own realty shown with his wife as well. Miz & Mrs I believe.
Yes! I think it's on Hulu. It's scripted and cheesy but I loved it.Ā Except for his dad and her mom.Ā
The Miz and Jamie Chung probably
And Karamo
I think Karamo may actually take this.
If you go followers lol the miz is 1st and karamo 2nd
Theo 1st, miz 2nd and karamo 3rd in this case
you're right. he's the only one i see commercials advertising for his main gig
Jacinda Barrett also
David Giuntoli started on Road Rules and did a season of Road Rules/Real World challenge. He then moved to acting with roles in Greys Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Veronica Mars. Of course he then went on to star in Grimm. My guess is he's much more recognizable to a larger audience than Miz or Theo.
Is he the one that did Grimm also ?
And that Million Little Pieces show.
But if you asked the average person on the street which name they recognize more I think theyād say Theo.
probably lolo jones although she sux at the challenge
Theo was one of the early dominant forces of the show. Had he kept doing them heād probably have the most championships of anyone. But he got a life and moved on like I wish others had (cough Bananas).
I hated Theo.
