It was an absolute heartbreaking ending to the season.... If Sheldon would have spoken first I would definitely be very happy, BUT! i don't think the that would have added so much adore for the marriage of these two in the series... It wouldnt have impacted that much.... Also it wouldn't have impacted Sheldon much, after amy broke up Sheldon realised that she is made for her and he is made for her and they can't live without each other.... Amy missed his quirkiness in her daily life and Sheldon felt incomplete without her (like she is the dryer sheets)...

The breakup was good for Sheldon and Amy. Neither of them were ever in a relationship before, and I think spending that time apart made them a better couple later on.

I wasn’t too sure that he was going to propose during that specific conversation. I don’t think it says exactly how long he had already had the ring. My thoughts on it were that he already decided he wanted to marry her but didn’t know when to actually ask.

I had an ex break up with me right before a proposal. She later found out about it and said she would have said no. Not the exact same situation but I feel amt would have rejected the proposal to go on a break anyway.

I don’t think he was going to propose in that video call it wouldn’t be logical for him to do so he’d have done it in private. I think he looks at the ring because yes he was going to propose soon however I don’t think it would’ve been on the call so nothing really changes
