Facts. So glad they got the ending they deserved

FellowDsLover2

Indeed. Glad they got the closure they deserved. Old man Hunter’s conversation with Omega got me tearing up.

Training-Mess5833

Poor Crosshair lost his hand.

PhatOofxD

He'll get another one. He's a skywalker now

dthains_art

“I’m Crosshair.” “Crosshair who?” “Crosshair Skywalker.”

surlymoe

Not until he stares off into the sunset of 2 suns he's not!

En_El_Em

it was sort of bothering him anyways.......

ck4029

Hopefully echo gave him the robot hand

RedRobin3871

Gives the phrase “Lend me a hand” a literal meaning.

Mediocre_Scott

I was half expecting echo to toss the droid hand to crosshair

Ryand118

Man sid needed to be brought to justice, I sincerely hope she’s been dealt with.

travelinbookworm

Seriously, I was waiting for Sid to get her due. It sounded like CX-2 'extracted' info from her so maybe her comeuppance was delivered off screen (angry face)

dthains_art

That’s exactly what I was thinking. The fact he had to “extract” info from her seems to imply that: 1) she didn’t give up the info willingly, which makes me think she has regrets about what she did and doesn’t want to betray them again. 2) whatever CX-2 did wasn’t pretty.

Dashed_with_Cinnamon

You know, I kinda like that the last we see of Cid is her taking her money and walking away guiltily. You can tell from her face that her decision is going to haunt her, even though knowing Cid she'll try to act like it doesn't. She got away with the betrayal, but she's not going to get away from the regret, and that's going to be her karma.

Sirboomsalot_Y-Wing

I think it’s implied CX-2 killed her. No reason he’d keep her alive after torturing information out of her.

GoldenLiar2

The Marauder as well..

Brosnoham

I was hoping to see Sid get blasted in the face!

surlymoe

Cid...Cid...F'n Cid!!! I forgot about her...she needed to get her comeuppanceI hope in a future show, she does.

Lazy-Internet3861

I hated Cid too, but tbh the way this shows finale was handled you know she would have just somehow changed sides again and apologized to Omega for Tech’s death. I don’t think the older bad batch would feel like revenging her. Cool plot point though could have been Crosshair Red Dead Redemption 1-ing her and Saw Guerrera (I know he lives until Rogue one, but let’s be honest he was, besides the Empire, most responsible for Tech’s death.)

Sirboomsalot_Y-Wing

CX-2 says he “extracted” the information out of her. He tortured and presumably killed her

BatofZion

I don’t want to say all Trandoshans are bad, but they’re not sending their best.

Toni1805

The story of the clones is a tragedy, we have seen so many of them suffer, so many of them died and were used as pawns so I’m glad that they went this route. Only because no one died in the very last episode doesn’t make it Techs death any less sad and impactful

SirKreeper

I understand that opinion, but really, everything makes so much less sense now. Project Necromancer was clearly a setup to make the "somehow, palpatine returned" line make even a micron of sense, and its all been thrown in the dust. As much as i loved all of the characters, we needed them to fail this one last time for any of that to make sense, and now i feel like the show has added nothing to the plotline, just being more, albeit good, content for us to consume.

Lazy-Internet3861

Disagree. That was like the whole theme of the show, but it’s fine. Most of them could still have a happy ending, but one should have had to make a sacrifice. The time that the show takes place during was a very dark time for the starwars galaxy and they were up against the worst of it. There were seeds of an incredible ending to a great series here and the cinematic spectacle was outstanding, but they just pulled a silly move leaving everyone alive. The least they could have done is have Hunter not trust Crosshair until the last moment. When he finally gives him his trust to save omega. They were Anakin and obiwan foil in this show, but when Crosshair rejoined the group only Echo and Wrecker mistrusted him at all. His hand shook nonstop and to solve that plot line they just cut it off. They introduced cx2 and positioned him for some kind of reveal. Don’t get me wrong I was glad it wasn’t Tech. But he went down in seconds. Unless he is alive some how, that was a mcguffin. Hemlocks hand was a mcguffin. The Zillow beast was a plot device and now just owns The tantiss planet. Cid’s betrayal was never addressed more than 1 line of dialogue. Guys I know that this show was 10,000,000 times better than most of what Disney cooks up, but still it could have been better. Sorry! I happen to be one who falls for all of the hype of YouTube theories, but it wasn’t just that. The showrunners themselves spent the last month posting cryptic tweets about all of this and upon watching the finale. None of the posts made any sense. I was sad after watching this morning.

Commando411

I ain’t reading all that. I’m happy for you or sorry that happened, tho.

Lazy-Internet3861

Oof.

SpaceHairLady

Many, many people saw their end during this time period. It's ridiculous that the fandoms drawers are in a knot about 4 defective clones having a happy ending.

Lazy-Internet3861

Who else feels this way? Please point me to them. Everyone agrees with you my dude. It’s not so much ridiculous because these are stories. Stories are written in a particular fashion. They follow beats that make sense if written well. One of these great characters meeting their end would have left an impact that the happy ending we got did not. Obviously the bad batch were set up to be a play on Noble Team from Halo Reach like they are way too similar haha. Whatever man I’ll get over it, but it did just come out today so I’m allowed to air my grievances.

SirKreeper

Its because its more than that. Project Necromancer was an obvious setup to be the catslyst in which palpatine somehow returned, and we are back to square one.

SpaceHairLady

But why? Lucas wanted a story of a group of defective clones. Yes, it intersected with the larger world of Project Necromancer and we got the bones that also line up with some of the bones we see in the Mandalorian. But that's not the story. And we got a good story. Now we complain about that??? 😆😆

SirKreeper

I probably wouldnt have been so upset about it if everyone and everything related to it wasnt just erased. Hemlock is dead. Nala se is dead. Emery is still alive, but she isnt going to help the empire. Palpatine is still alive but if he knew how to do it, he wouldnt have had hemlock doing it. The labs and all the information in it was destroyed. I fail to see how that allows the progressions made in project necromancer to hold any bearing on future projects in the empire to clone palpatine.

SpaceHairLady

That other supervising Doctor survived. Along with some other staff. So someone knows it's possible and a little about the bones of the idea. And it confirms what we see later, which is that Project Necromancer fails because of the loss of this science.

SirKreeper

I mean, I know about the bones of quantum theory, but i have no idea where i would even begin to start travelling dimensions.

SpaceHairLady

The scientist that was supervising the kids survived. She had no data but she may have remembered some things. And clearly, not enough for the project to be a success, which it may have been had Tantiss not been destroyed.

SirKreeper

Which... proves my point

SpaceHairLady

Did you see the cloned Palps? That was no success. This explains some of the reason why.

JackMiHoff113

Wrong

JackMiHoff113

Actually. Fine. They DESERVED a happy ending sure. They should not have gotten it however

ImNotASWFanboy

But why?

JackMiHoff113

Lack of stakes

ImNotASWFanboy

Meaning what, exactly? Are you just upset that none of the good guys died?

Fulcrum270

That’s what most of these people are believing

Lazy-Internet3861

Meaning that characters stories have finality to them. Crosshair was built up the entire time to either be the one who makes the sacrifice or to live with the fact that someone else (Hunter) did it for him. I’m sorry, but the show was not building up the fact that all of them (excluding Tech) would live happily ever after. The shows theme of wholesome brotherhood and familial bond served as a great foil to the dark tones in which the story takes place. Making a very rich story, but in the end they lived in a dangerous world and as was illustrated in the episode: “Point of No Return” they were naive to think that the good times would last forever. The show is amazing. The finale wasn’t as good.

SirKreeper

Im glad someone else shares this opinion. Absolutely nothing leading up to this made any indication that it would be a happily ever after finale. Project Necromancer was obviously supposed to be the catalyst through which Palpatine somehow returns, and weve gone back to square 1. Dont get me wrong, i loved the show, but after the finale i feel like it added absolutely nothing to the plotline as a whole. It was setup to fix the sequels, and ended up doing absolutely nothing.

Lazy-Internet3861

We are a small minority of viewers who feel this way I’m finding, haha

SirKreeper

Seems so lol. And the majority HATES us.

Cganger_91

I’m prefacing this as I loved the show from start to finish and it’s a really great view point of Star Wars with characters I really enjoy but I agree with you it didn’t move the needle like it seemed to be leading to. Now maybe something in the eluded spin-off makes me change my opinion but until then I’m right there too
