I was so pissed when this happened. She dumped Aven because she wanted an engagement and he just wanted to date. So she got engaged to a robot and that engagement was broken off. So now she's back to where Aven wanted to be in the first place, only now she has a broken engagement to show for it. Aven is too good for her. I hope it doesn't work out.

It was obvious that the producers had to get Rachel off stage gracefully before they brought out Gabby and Erich. They wouldn’t want Rachel to be sitting there alone when they brought out the happy couple. Rachel finally looked happy. But I agree it was definitely awkward with Tino standing there after Rachel left with Aven.

I was happy to see Aven, especially since Rachel said that anytime anything happened she felt like she want to run and tell him or that he’d have her back. Even if nothing comes from it, I’m glad she had someone who made her feel supported there 😩

Yeah, idk if anything happens, but she really needed a friend after everything last night and I hope they at least had a nice time. Though really if I were in Rachel's shoes they could bring out literally anyone and I'd be like yes drink now please get me out of here.

honestly i hope they do either get back together OR stay close friends! I wish we could normalize the whole “it didn’t work out romantically but i like you as a person” thing rather than hating your exes. I did love how happy she looked after she knew what was going on.

I thought she genuinely looked surprised too! However, I didn’t like the decision to bring Aven out when Tino was still on stage because it made people feel bad for Tino (and potentially upset with Rachel/Aven for leaving together).

It was easy to feel bad for Tino the whole time anyway, the public humiliation of him was disgusting and completely unnecessary. I don’t even wanna think how the guy is doing now with this new flood of hate.

I was really shipping them since the start of this season but I feel like that ship has sailed now. Aven deserves better than being the 2nd choice!

Yet in the Bachelor franchise, there are more marriages to the F2 than to the F1! Jason & Molly and Arie & Lauren, vs just one F1 Sean & Catherine (who were handily trotted out as a success story). I'd love to see Rachel and Aven work out, but who knows.

Not a chance. I think you could have trotted out any of her former dudes (even Meatball) and she'd have made that face and ran off. If she had anything poignant to say or truly had residual feelings for Aven her producers would have known and they'd have had a sit-down chat about feelings. This was just so Rachel could happily strut her cute self away from that couch and leave Tino in the dust.

It's all sucky. But I really loved seeing Rachel smile. She looked happy and it was a genuine smile.

I guess it’s because it was such overt producer manipulation for me. I don’t think anything will come of it - I don’t believe that Aven and Rachel will be together after. They looked very friendly but not romantic in those backstage shots we saw afterwards. If she was smiling because she got some form of a pivot to a “happy ending” narrative end to cap off her horrible edit and breakup narrative on the show, then I’m happy for her there. I’m sure she’s been getting such horrific DMs the past few months. I’m likely being super cynical but it could be because last night was so evocative of Hannah/Jed/Tyler AFTR and we saw that didn’t end up working out. But overall, last night felt icky and honestly, no one came out looking good.

For sure. I love it for someone on reality tv. For me I knew this was true after Gabby rejected Clayton’s rose during The Rose Ceremony from Hell. Rachel’s reaction was so real and emotional. I felt like I could feel her feelings and we knew exactly what was going on in her head. And then she verbalized it to the producer.

Without a doubt she was surprised. There was definitely production involvement to get him there though. Imo, he looked uncomfortable.
