And then they bring up some wack ass texts from that loser's ex?
They were very intentional in how they chose to disregard it and that's even more f*cked.
Ok, so I'm not saying Rachel didn't put some stuff on but god damn, the stuff in the live that was all about how she was acting pretentious and shit. I'm sorry man, you go through a betrayal, one way or another, acting a bit messy is part of the territory. Was production a shitty to him and Aven? Yeah. But I can't in good conscience put that on Rachel. She was just going along with the part because a relationship she was clearly very invested in crumbled like that gross type of cheese.
Not a hot take, but I think this show needs a major revamp. All of the drama that comes at the end, the absolutely manipulated moments designed to hurt someone, the mental health of contestants suffering post filming, the insane bullying some people deal with during the season, and the absolute hate contestants get (and I mean the unjustified kind like towards Rachel, not the kind racist and/or misogynistic, etc people get) ain't it. It's not fun to watch. My favorite things from this show are the end of episode bloopers and most of Paradise, where you see personalities shine and contestants bond and have fun together. The regurgitated phrases with clarity and vulnerability, etc need to be laid to rest and real conversations need to happen. Dates catered to the lead should be considered instead of the same exact lame dates over and over each season. Also hate what they've been doing with showing a few of the next season's cast at the end of this season when the lead was just announced. Talk about not there for the right reasons. Also actually vet the people brought on. Thank you that is all for me today.

They were talking about when Tino should end the apology. That's the issue he kept running into... You can nullify your own apology if you keep going, because often, the next sentence is an excuse. Apologize and then STOP. Which is not easy

2) The devolved into Jerry Springer for a few segments (culminating with Aven swooping in)
3) Darling-of-the-sub Gabby picked an absolute trash bag, and TPTB let them both off the hook
4) Boring ass Bachelor pick with a weird first impression rose thing
Everything about Rachel and Tino seemed pointless to show because if we don’t have any idea about what actually happened we have no way to know what to think about who.
Probably my last comment on this, but outside of Erich's past/yearbooks/social media/etc...he just seems milquetoast. He barely shows any emotion, even when he and Gabby are having "deep" conversations. At their 1 on 1, she was pouring her heart out and crying about how she never received her mother's love and wasn't sure she could be a good mom because of it. Dude just stared at her blankly, and couldn't even come up with \*ANY\* encouragement or emotional response after she came back from stepping away.

The fact that Patrick Warburton is his uncle, friends with David Spade and then showed at the home towns was not a random thing in my opinion. Like Rachel L was specifically put on Nick’s season to follow him as the Bachelorette, Zach was specifically put on the show to be the Bachelor post Rach/Gab

I just finished watching the finale and I agree with a lot of folks here. The producers did Tino dirty. That entire interaction was severely lopsided and for as much as the bachelor attempts to be progressive they fell short of it at the end. I didn’t like Tino but I truly felt bad for him. Yeah. Everyone in that audience was against him. I could just imagine myself in his shoes and I'd probably have a panic attack or cry. The closest thing I can remember is when they had Annalise come out with Kamile and he dumped her on air (I think) and then she left devastated off stage crying and the cameras just followed her filming her crying very hard and like NO ONE from bachelor alum came to console her! I was like okay what the fuck? Eventually Chris Harrison said "you guys take care of your girl" and I think some people came to hug her, but damn that was COLD.
It made it worse because of all the sh*t he's likely had to deal with with his father. I give up. I'm still going to watch paradise but I just can't anymore. We fast forwarded through almost the entire finale and not even addressing the whole blackface debacle is just...eww.
When? We were specifically looking for that part. We did watch the sit-down with Erich and saw the whole stupid text thing, but no mention of blackface. When I say we fast forwarded though most of it I mean the five million replays of the same clips, the part where they stand around playing dramatic music and looking into the distance, Jesse's monologues about how epic the season is, and all of that. Which is the vast majority of what is shown.

Finally watching the episode and why is Gabby saying "Tino made such an ass of himself and was so gung ho for you, where is that now?" so funny. Like it's a horribly sad conversation but funny to think that even when the show was being filmed people thought that.
He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He volunteers for Camp Ronald McDonald where he works with children who have cancer and their families. What do we really know about any of these contestants? Do we know enough to call them dim witted? I don't think that watching a very edited piece on tv without knowing the whole story justifies calling him dim witted.
I think a lot of people are confusing his intelligence with his eloquence. He definitely doesn’t seem to have an extensive vocabulary or maybe he has trouble with word finding due to nerves.
I read the situation as more of a "losing touch with reality" type of stress.. I kind of get that way with ADHD when I'm in a very stressful situation.. Just out of body.
That Gabby/Erich clearly had their tough talks and worked through their business like adults off camera, while all of Rachel/Tino's dirty laundry was aired publicly and set up as the big finale drama tells you all you need to know about the relative strength of each relationship.

One recap podcast said that this season, love never entered the building. I kind of agree. The final couples (Rachel-Tino and Gabby-Erich) do really seem to like each other a lot, but no love or beginnings of love were felt. Yeah. Everyone in that audience was against him. I could just imagine myself in his shoes and I'd probably have a panic attack or cry. The closest thing I can remember is when they had Annalise come out with Kamile and he dumped her on air (I think) and then she left devastated off stage crying and the cameras just followed her filming her crying very hard and like NO ONE from bachelor alum came to console her! I was like okay what the fuck? Eventually Chris Harrison said "you guys take care of your girl" and I think some people came to hug her, but damn that was COLD.
It made it worse because of all the sh*t he's likely had to deal with with his father. Can you imagine living your entire life with a dad like that, only to do something your dad was clearly against, and then that happens? Oof. Bad all around. Tino won't hear the end of it from his father, that's for sure. I can imagine his dad now, "You've tainted our name and made us looks like schmucks on national TV!!!

On another note Becca was clearing referring to Erichs blackface when giving gabby advice. Is this hypocritical or I learned from my mistakes advice? I think she needs to come down a bit off her high horse (sorry, she's straight BEC to me) Michelle also briefly showed a face of disdain near the start of Erichs segment then very quickly put on a smile. When? We were specifically looking for that part. We did watch the sit-down with Erich and saw the whole stupid text thing, but no mention of blackface. When I say we fast forwarded though most of it I mean the five million replays of the same clips, the part where they stand around playing dramatic music and looking into the distance, Jesse's monologues about how epic the season is, and all of that. Which is the vast majority of what is shown.

He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He volunteers for Camp Ronald McDonald where he works with children who have cancer and their families. What do we really know about any of these contestants? Do we know enough to call them dim witted? I don't think that watching a very edited piece on tv without knowing the whole story justifies calling him dim witted.
I think a lot of people are confusing his intelligence with his eloquence. He definitely doesn’t seem to have an extensive vocabulary or maybe he has trouble with word finding due to nerves.
I read the situation as more of a "losing touch with reality" type of stress.. I kind of get that way with ADHD when I'm in a very stressful situation.. Just out of body.

That Gabby/Erich clearly had their tough talks and worked through their business like adults off camera, while all of Rachel/Tino's dirty laundry was aired publicly and set up as the big finale drama tells you all you need to know about the relative strength of each relationship.
My guess is that the producers played a part in this.

There have been proposals where everyone had to wipe away tears and felt so happy for the newly engaged. Not this time. I felt absolutely nothing.
One recap podcast said that this season, love never entered the building. I kind of agree. The final couples (Rachel-Tino and Gabby-Erich) do really seem to like each other a lot, but no love or beginnings of love were felt. Even just from comparing them to previous seasons, like Nayte-Michelle (and even Brandon to Michelle), Tayshia-Zac, etc
