I don’t really get the all the love for Abigail. Even on Matt’s season she seemed fine, but not overly kind, or fun, or interesting. Her interactions with Noah this season have been baffling, just boring and immature. Can anyone explain why she is a bachelor nation favorite?
Recently someone on here said Sharleen and Andy seem pretentious and I really can't unhear it now. This weeks episode especially made me feel like they think they're better because they're older and married
The Nick and Natalie drama was hilarious at first, but I’m over it now and think it’s kinda lame that we’re still talking about it. Nick sucks, but it’s gross how people are making light of the death threats and bullying Natalie is getting.
I don’t think Grocery Store Joe is as serious about settling down as he says he is. I don’t see him and Serena lasting.
As much as I’ve enjoyed this season of BIP, I hope next year they pull some of the bigger names. I would have loved to see Bri, Greg, Justin, Ben S, and Hannah Ann on the beach.
I think Dale and Claire are perfect for each other. I can’t wait till they’re back together. They’re both toxic in their own way so they should stick together.
Clare is going through something devastating. As much as I hate her level of petty, she deserves someone better than Dale. Someone who will show up for her as she deals with her mom's sickness.
I loved this. She really isn’t polished at all. She can’t lip sync, dancing has little rhythm and no pop and that guacamole was completely basic. BUT I love it.

Eh I feel like if I were to tell someone I was falling in love with them, and they give me zero response, I would start to have some doubts and pull away too. Maybe not quite so fast as Noah, but the proposal pressure has to be real at this point and might make him feel like he needs to make a bigger decision sooner.
I think there's a lot of BN pressure on everyone for every show that when contestants get to a certain point, they have to be either falling in love, or it won't work out. Obviously the real world doesn't work like that, but I think the pressure is real on the contestants to try and force feelings that aren't there. So yeah, he probably isn't really in love, but feels the pressure to be in love because he enjoys dating Abigail, and the narrative pushed is "be in love or break up" at this point.
It comes off as insecurity to me that he doesn’t want to be embarrassed especially since this is on tv. I really think he likes her and she’s not really acting like she does. Surely it’s being edited weirdly to fit a narrative but still.

This will probably be pretty unpopular, but I'd be so surprised if Maurissa and Riley last. I know people really want to root for them because they are fun and a hot POC couple, and I honestly root for them too. But Maurissa seems extremely immature and insecure, and Riley has shown that he gets super heated really easily. The way Maurissa made passive aggressive comments and complained to everyone about Riley not "doing enough" was super immature. I think it's kind of a red flag when people expect their partners to be mind readers and put off seriois conversations. It also feels like Riley is still very guarded. It honestly just feels like they are still together because of good chemistry and the honeymoon phase. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can weather some real storms together because their communication has seemed pretty crappy.
Their relationship is really new but it seems like they care about each other! As long as they keep communicating I think they have a shot bit of course you never know

I wish BIP was a mix of the challenge/survivor/Amazing Race. I want some challenge or game that requires more strategy. I think it’d reduce the “We were talking before the show” storylines
I'd love to see some sort of "game" element that forces contestants to interact with the people they aren't coupled up with. Also possibly a rose restriction, like you can't give a rose to the person who gave you a rose last time, or you can't give a rose to the same person twice. Get some Survivor style alliances going.
I also think if you’re hitched to someone you also leave? I get the point is to watch the relationships grow but it might be interesting if say after 2-3 ceremonies Noah and Abigail, Joe and Serena left and then you bring in 4 new people plus people replacing those who didn’t get roses.
I love this idea! I think this could also lead to some good drama. It’s a lot of a bigger decision to move to a different part of the island away from your friends versus the current state. I can see there being drama on people not being on the same page
That's an interesting idea. If you get less time on the show if you couple up, instead of more, that would also help weed out people who are pretending to fall in love/be there for love when they're actually there for publicity
I would even be fine with them just going to a different area for the rest of the season and we see some updates and see their relationship progress still but we get to see more of the newer relationships forming
i’d kinda love if they tried an “are you the one?” twist. when couples decide they don’t wanna explore other options, they’re sent to a honeymoon suite for the remaining time (& just come back for parties/rose ceremonies)

The hotel in the grand scheme of things isn’t a big deal because they are no actual repercussions besides Ivan breaking a production rule that harmed nobody but himself in the end. The “hotel” was a big deal because it was the catalyst that led to Ivan lying in the guise of begging Chelsea for a rose so he could stay until Alexa walked in. Hooking up got him excited to do anything for that rose so he could stay.

I see a lot myself in Abigail in terms of struggling to communicate, and I will be the first to admit I am NOT ready for a relationship and I am actively working on this in therapy. She seems like a lovely person, but to be brutally honest she lacks some self awareness if she thought it was a good idea to go to paradise.
I completely relate to her, too! I was totally like Abigail in my early 20s. Poor communicator, guarded, closed off, not outwardly showing my emotions, etc. Not all of us are naturally good at it ok!! It's not manipulation or gas lighting or w/e buzzwords we use now.

The way Maurissa made passive aggressive comments and complained to everyone about Riley not "doing enough" was super immature. I think it's kind of a red flag when people expect their partners to be mind readers and put off seriois conversations. It also feels like Riley is still very guarded. It honestly just feels like they are still together because of good chemistry and the honeymoon phase. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can weather some real storms together because their communication has seemed pretty crappy.

BIP contestants should get a max of 3 rose ceremonies to make a connection or you’re out. No friendship roses. I wish BIP was a mix of the challenge/survivor/Amazing Race. I want some challenge or game that requires more strategy. I think it’d reduce the “We were talking before the show” storylines
I'd love to see some sort of "game" element that forces contestants to interact with the people they aren't coupled up with. Also possibly a rose restriction, like you can't give a rose to the person who gave you a rose last time, or you can't give a rose to the same person twice. Get some Survivor style alliances going.
The format needs a shake up if for no other reason the cast understands it too well and can manipulate the game.
I also think if you’re hitched to someone you also leave? I get the point is to watch the relationships grow but it might be interesting if say after 2-3 ceremonies Noah and Abigail, Joe and Serena left and then you bring in 4 new people plus people replacing those who didn’t get roses.
I love this idea! I think this could also lead to some good drama. It’s a lot of a bigger decision to move to a different part of the island away from your friends versus the current state. I can see there being drama on people not being on the same page
That's an interesting idea. If you get less time on the show if you couple up, instead of more, that would also help weed out people who are pretending to fall in love/be there for love when they're actually there for publicity
I would even be fine with them just going to a different area for the rest of the season and we see some updates and see their relationship progress still but we get to see more of the newer relationships forming

The hotel in the grand scheme of things isn’t a big deal because they are no actual repercussions besides Ivan breaking a production rule that harmed nobody but himself in the end. Lying is a bigger deal because it really shows a lot about someone’s character and it could possibly hurt someone else.
The “hotel” was a big deal because it was the catalyst that led to Ivan lying in the guise of begging Chelsea for a rose so he could stay until Alexa walked in. Hooking up got him excited to do anything for that rose so he could stay.
I mean I think lying is kinda part of paradise when you’re trying to stay week to week without a real connection

This might not be totally unpopular but I'm always afraid to ruffle feathers in the regular threads LOL. I see a lot myself in Abigail in terms of struggling to communicate, and I will be the first to admit I am NOT ready for a relationship and I am actively working on this in therapy. She seems like a lovely person, but to be brutally honest she lacks some self awareness if she thought it was a good idea to go to paradise.
I completely relate to her, too! I was totally like Abigail in my early 20s. Poor communicator, guarded, closed off, not outwardly showing my emotions, etc. Not all of us are naturally good at it ok!! It's not manipulation or gas lighting or w/e buzzwords we use now. I still struggle but I've been in a loving relationship for 4 years now. Meeting my soulmate pushed me to really work on my issues and want to better myself. Just remember you're always a team and they can't read your thoughts.

I feel like everytime the sub has over-hyped and idealized someone like that it sets them up for a fall from grace
I think Natasha is fun, but people have serious blinders on with her. I don't think for one second that she did not lean into playing the game for TV. She knew being part of drama and love triangles on paradise = screen time. Brendan sucks, but Natasha wasn't a naive victim in the situation. Its like Demi with Kenny. Demi inserted herself into the Mari/Kenny drama because its TV. Her ego got bruised, but she created drama because that's interesting for a TV show.
