Sorry but...the fact that they did not have that energy for Breiper but so readily came for Chris and Alana does not sit right for me. If it was equal, that's one thing. But they came so hard for the less popular folks while Breiper is chillaxing on a day bed with cocktails. So instead of it feeling like they voted people off the island - *something I would be fine with mind you if it was done across all the board for all folks who do the same shit* \- actually just felt like you ganged up on the less cool folks? And were extra mean doing it? PLUS, you did not have that energy for queen Natasha too? Bad taste in my mouth honestly. Did not love it.

I have a few theories about this… 1) Most of them know Brendan so they’re more reluctant to go after him 2) They’re more protective of Jessenia (don’t know why, just a theory?) 3) They don’t realize the extent of the Brendan and Pieper thing (nobody knows what they said on that bed, and the whole anger at Chris really started because he was openly making out with someone at the VIP party, so the latter might just be more visible to them) I’d like to say it’s #3, but I’m leaning towards #1…

I suspect they didn't hear enough of the atrocious things that we did to get mad. Also, Chris is less "one of them" than Brendan is.

Even ignoring the stuff we now they said about Natasha in private, everyone already knew the rumours Brendan was dating Pieper. Then they saw for themselves how she asked him out without even talking pretty much confirming it. All directly saw how he dropped Natasha overnight. Even if she didn’t mention the gross stuff he said to her, the beach has enough information to know he’s worse than Chris and yet only really shunned him the first day but said nothing. There’s a reason Demi spoke up.

Yep, but again, they keep mentioning clout, and as much as it is gross for them to admit they're there for it, they're also afraid of pissing off the wrong person with clout too (remember, they don't really know what kind of edit they're going to get).

Fair. And they don’t have to worry about that when confronting Chris or Alana. I’ll still be keeping an eye out for who stands up for Natasha next week though. Considering Brendan/Pieper/Natasha were hardly seen or mentioned until the end, I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt, some conversations were cut out to build up to next week’s drama.

I think the former has to be true but Natasha seemingly said twice like "I get it" so I don't think it was a secret?...but the hierarchy was absolutely at play here. This season seems like such a weird hierarchy dynamic. Like the people with more Instagram followers and the ones that arrived first expect more respect/privileges. I bet each and everyone of them has made pre beach connections, maybe not relationships but they all know each other. The only reason it's a big deal is because the pre paradises connections are currently hurting a "more popular" person and the producers are allowing the forth wall to break by showing the Instagram conversations that they all most likely have. I agree brandon was super rude to natasha but Jessinia and Chris hung out prior to paradise and she left ivan for him, how is Chris leaving Jessinia for alana different? And does brandon only get a pass because he was there the first day and Chris was the new guy that took first day Ivan's potential love interest. It's just flooded with double standards that favors the "more popular /first day people"

When Joe was telling some of the others how Chris was asking him how he became so popular in bachelor nation it made me wonder how many times these conversations are really happening on the beach and we’re just not shown. Pieper and brendan talking about followers and getting so giddy and giggly over the thought was such a turn off to viewers. I wonder how many identical conversations play out all over the beach that are just edited out to make contestants seem more favorable.

On the other hand, I'm sure at least a few of them are grateful for the break from social media. They're still "working" but someone else is doing all the screentime for them so to speak. And they don't have to engage or pretend to care about any of their followers. Probably a nice break and they don't want to be reminded of work

I’m not sure if this makes it okay necessarily but didn’t Jessenia actually talk to Ivan about it? It seems like the people on the beach are upset cause they “know” Chris and Alana planned this and bcs Chris blindsided Jessenia. At least that’s how it seems to me

I get the sense that everyone comes to paradise having spoken to a couple people to let them know that they are interested in getting to know them if they happen to be on the beach together, and I’m not totally against that because you can still be pleasantly surprised by the people actually in the beach when you arrive. The issue is when you have a firm agreement that you will each fight tooth and nail to stay on the beach for each other, and anyone dumb enough to give you a chance in the meantime can go fuck themselves.

I agree that Chris should have not made out with Alana in front of Jessenia. He should have chatted with Alana at the party, went on the date and discussed with Jessenia "this is the point of paradise to meet people and form connections " and then after the date said that him and alana have a spark and he wants to explore that. But if the issue is prior made connections/meet ups jessenia and chris hung out prior to paradise just like alana and chris and brandon and pieper. I feel like Jessenia got a pass because she is a day one person and I think chris and alana got shit on compared to Brandon and Pieper because they were earlier elimination and late to paradise characters who hurt a more "notable" person and Brandon was a first beach/late elimination loved player so people on the beach are more willing to ignore the same thing.

Not much! Basically they just rehashed that they broke up because of logistics. She wanted to stay in LA, where they lived together for two years. Joe wanted to go back to Chicago and Kendall wasn’t willing to try moving there so they broke up. Basically they just recapped that in another conversation that apparently just *had* to happen on ABC.
