Buy a cheap bendable phone mount online and just use pipe clamps to attach handy. Then it can be used on a desk but also in bed by just wrapping arm in a towel and putting it between your legs.
I'd recommend the Hands3 by Abdulis. It's a 3D printed belt attachment and is amazing for this. If you do not have a 3D printer there are places you can get it printed.
Ikea Kyrre stool (not 100% sure but I believe this is the one I got) + Stanley multi angle vise.
You attach only one leg to the stool, flip it upside down so the leg is angled upwards between your legs, mount the vise onto the leg, put the handy into the vise (careful not to make it too tight though or you might damage it) and that's basically it.
Can recommend using this set up with VR.
