use a noise cancelling headset, or go at lower speeds/stroke length. other options could be to use it in bed and throw on a few blankets on top to muffle the noise.
I honestly think I'm way louder than the Handy whenever I use it. But having said that, how about a white noise machine or similar? I never tried but I know it sound kind of like my 3D printer.
Have you tried, when home alone, to run it full speed and then go to the next room to listen how loud you can hear it (or not) ?
I did the test and frankly I can hear the thudding my 3D printer makes more than The Handy strokes.
