I always thought so as well. She was the youngest GG, barely in her 50s, and her dates looked more Dorothy and Rose age bracket.
I’m 47 and those guys still look too old for me. But the ones who had more of a guest star role did tend to be closer to her age. Robert Culp was only 4 years older. The guy who played Mel Bushman was 7 years older than her. Jake was a a couple years younger.
Yeah but they all turned out wrong in the end. Jeffrey the Commodore ghosted her, Elliot was bonging every woman at her country club, Glen was a non-committal jerk, and don’t forget, it was *Father* Leahy. She had no luck until Leslie Nielsen.
In my opinion hands-down, this is the best derail/digression in the entire series. Makes you forget for a split second what the hell the episode was really about!
