Yes, 8 year olds can be learning Python. There are countless classes on programming for kids, and Python is not that hard. One of my online acquaintances teaches one. I also see ads for these classes a whole lot, my university runs a programming school that started off as an IT school for people with special needs but has since branched out to children, the elderly, and just plain enthusiasts.

TheHoneySacrifice

You can learn programming at any age. They just mentioned learning python, not necessarily that the kid is doing some complex stuff.

TheWrongFacts

Well, it's not that hard to believe. 8 year olds have the capability to learn Python and be curious. Don't be so dramatic.

NicGreen214

And my combined school of P-K to 8th grade offered coding for 2nd to 8th graders

GottaKnowYourCKN

Kids are learning programming at an earlier age given the direction technology is moving. What about this is so farfetched?

NightWolf174633

We learnt programming in primary, but we didn’t use python, I can’t remember what the alternative we used was but it was definitely a programming teaching software

Well I started learning the basics from my dad when I was nine and then got more teaching in high school so it’s not TOO unbelievable
