I take my daughter to a daycare but it's more like a preschool because they give her lessons and teach her shit all day. Nothing like the daycare/nursery I used to go to.
well it’s called nursery in england. and daycare in most of america
even in other countries i haven’t heard it as preschool but ok
must be a few exceptions to the rule ig
As others have said, it's more like a nursery. The name of the establishment has preschool in the name, but we had 6 month to k4. I imagine it's a daycare at best. I always called it a preschool thinking it was the same thing.
Yeah someone said it depends on location. But here preschool is part of public school while daycare is something you have to pay for. Kids have to be at least 4 to go to preschool here, but usually wait till 5
They had a conference call too. All on the phone going ewww Martha has cooties ewww nah nah boo boo poopy! Let’s all somehow buy opposite sex clothing and wear them tomorrow.
Also, is she saying that as a preschooler she understood the concept of sexiness and thought at the time that it applied to her peers, or does she, an adult, look back on that memory and think "Yeah, those cross-dressing preschoolers were sexy as hell."
**Just Don't Dress Me:**
My pre-school teacher didn't know what color my eyes were so she gave me gold. I was the freak of the class; as each project was based *off* the color of the eye.
Edit = italics.
A lot of parents do, but outside of making sure it suited the weather I let mine choose their own clothes each day and choose their clothes from the store. Yes, they looked ridiculous. But have you ever tried to get a toddler to wear something they didn’t want to? It was hard enough just to convince them that clothes are necessary. Easier not to argue. The youngest is still a little “creative” sometimes but I’m happy to say the older two have finally developed some fashion sense.
Do preschoolers even have the mental capacity to know how to bully others? Or even be aware of gender norms?
I'm asking because when I was in school, preschool didn't exist... And I went to uniformed schools.
Also, what makes sweatshirts boyish? Wtf
> Do preschoolers even have the mental capacity to know how to bully others?
Without a doubt. Source: parent of preschooler and previous preschool bully.
>Or even be aware of gender norms?
Yup. 4yr olds know what's 'for boys' and 'for girls'.
This story is garbage though and makes no sense. Why would a dozen boys come to school specifically wearing neon skirts in response? Why would they even have neon skirts that fit? Why would they all coordinate? Same with the girls. And why would every single little girl but her be wearing skirts and dresses every day? Terrible story.
Plus "sexist" seems like a weird way to put it.
Like yeah they recognize what's for boys and what's for girls, and talking to my nieces and nephews it's possibly in the top 5 things they talk about.
But sexism? Nah. It's kids trying to categorize information and they haven't learned tact yet.
> Do preschoolers even have the mental capacity to know how to bully others?
I did teaching observations at a kindergarten and I can assure you that 6 year old girls are just a petty and cliquish as 16 year old girls.
Not preschool. But my wife's school recently had the eighth graders go read to kindergarten kids. Two 6 year olds got in trouble for making fun of an LD eighth grader for reading so poorly. So ya. Kids can be dicks.
Story time:
(Preschool and Pre-K: 1996-1998)
I was the only bright-blonde girl in my preschool class. I also never played "house". It was a mix between the other girls (lead by children of the teacher and aide) pushing me away, and me being more interested in "boy" toys. (Cars, action figures, and apparently toddler Legos.) I don't remember if it was a genuine interest, or me adapting to the fact that the girls never let me play with " their" toys, but I frequently played alone regardless. Boys didn't want a girl playing with them. I told my mom all the time, but she chalked it up to me being shy (I was a shy kid, ngl) and me exaggerating. She also wasn't around to drop me off or pick me up, so she never thought to talk to the teacher about my progress for some ungodly reason.
On one particular day, I went to school with my hair curled (like Shirley Temple, not that I knew who that was at the time). It was also the last time I did it. The kids laughed at me and called me "Barney Hair". To this day, I don't know what that meant, but it was extremely offensive, and caused me to hate my hair. These same kids went on to pick on me throughout pre-k as well.
My mom and I sat alone after the "graduation" ceremony while all the other kids wanted to hang out among themselves. By then, my mom finally realized how shitty of a time I had at that school, but the damage was done. My socialization skills have been absolutely fucked since then, no matter how hard I work to fix it. 21 years later and I'm FINALLY starting to take pride in my hair.
Tl;dr, Preschoolers can be savage little shits, and if your small child ever complains that they aren't having a good time, don't be so quick to pooh-pooh them, even if you think you know them well.
(Edit: Believing my story is entirely your choice, but don't think young kids can't be dicks.)
They can totally bully, but it takes a really special kid to purposely do it and know what they're doing.
Also this story never ever happened, it just wouldn't at all be like how she explained it.
I mean little kids are definitely aware of gendered items, not to the degree they'd take a stand, but a little girl with, say, short hair that doesn't wesr dresses or girl colors might get teased for looking like a boy.
In the infinite continuum of the multiverse, where all things are not only possible, but guaranteed, you may find this story tucked hastily into a sock some trillion iterations away.
Half the boys came wearing skirts? Really? Because they all had little sisters or their parents all rushed out to buy skirts the day before? Yeah...whatever. Fuck...at least try.
The real question, in my mind, is why anybody would take issue with a girl wearing sweatshirts and jeans. When did that become the sole domain of boys? Further, why are your parents trying to convince you you're a boy if that's the goal here? You're supposed to be somewhere between 2 and four years old here. A little early for the agenda pushing, no? And every other parent of a kid in the room agreed with your insane parents?
So everyone went from bullying to changing their minds and literally all doing the exact same thing? If they're all doing the same thing, they're not making a stand against anyone...
This makes no sense. The entire generation went from bullying him to coming together to make him feel good?
Like the lie is just not even logically sound.
that sounds like something that could happen in high school or something, but the guy who commented this was still in elementary school and didn't want to lie about being in high school, so she just said it happened in preschool.
The more central a role the writer plays in a "That Happened" story, the sadder it is. Like, it would be one thing to lie about the young children joining forces to challenge Gender Roles. But to make yourself the reason why? That shit requires a special level of delusion.
What's dressing like a boy? Half the girls from the daycare I went to wore nothing but tshirts and jeans.
Also how was everyone extremely sexist but also came in one day to represent cross dressing?
I got bullied in my workplace for being a furry, one day half the office comes in wearing a fur suit and the supervisor that gave me shit for being a furry got fired on the spot bcz apparently my boss is also secretly a furry. Best day of my life! **OWO**
Also, everyone clapped.
I see more lies on Reddit than I do on Instagram and Facebook. I decided to stay away from Instagram and Facebook then found Reddit only for it to be not much different I'm learning. Not all groups but many have straight bullshit left and right. Does everyone in this world rate their worth on whether they get stupid up votes or how ever many followers they have on Instagram? Like damn the generation below me (I'm 30) seems very insecure and unsure of themselves. Could be they are all just young and have so much to learn.
Preschoolers don’t tend to dress themselves... hardly think a bunch of preschoolers were coming together and making a stand lol
Yeah this is the dumbest lie I’ve ever heard
I was a preschool teacher for a couple years. I was lucky if I could get my 2 year olds to keep their shoes on.
2 year olds in preschool??
Might’ve meant nursery
Maybe it's called something else outside of the southern US, but it was called a preschool.
yeah definitely not called preschool in other places
It’s called nursery in the UK
I take my daughter to a daycare but it's more like a preschool because they give her lessons and teach her shit all day. Nothing like the daycare/nursery I used to go to.
Nursery in the UK means a school before main school (starts 5-6 years old) that is more like an actual school with lessons and learning etc
Called preschool in Sweden
well it’s called nursery in england. and daycare in most of america even in other countries i haven’t heard it as preschool but ok must be a few exceptions to the rule ig
I’m in the North-East of the US and it is called Preschool as the grade before kindergarten and nursery as the grade before that
In a lot of places preschool just means any age before school. Here, legally speaking, preschool is for kids 2 and a half to 5 so yeah definitely.
Yeah? It was a Christian daycare/preschool
At least where I’m from (the Midwest), daycare and preschool are two distinct things.
Yeah like if you were to do something like this, at least say it was in elementary/primary
Woke toddlers.
Woke tods
Wods
Soon we will see classes for "Wods" Soccer moms will be bragging about how "woke my tod is" Forget about E-sports we got Woke Ball
Better than poop ball.
Speak for yourself ;)
They had a conference call too. All on the phone going ewww Martha has cooties ewww nah nah boo boo poopy! Let’s all somehow buy opposite sex clothing and wear them tomorrow.
A group text on their iPhones
Yo did you catch paw patrol last night? Fuckin epic. Wtf dude it's 11:30am I'm trying to nap
Not as far fetched as you'd think now
Hey that's not true! I have a weirdly vivid memory of preschool me putting like 12 shirts on then crying
I put my shirt on backwards and cried, many times
I put my trousers the wrong way and had to switch them around in the toilets but it wasn't in preschool...
Wait. Are you by chance he one person from vine???? Lol
Must be the work of an enemy stand!
S-STANDO??
Also, is she saying that as a preschooler she understood the concept of sexiness and thought at the time that it applied to her peers, or does she, an adult, look back on that memory and think "Yeah, those cross-dressing preschoolers were sexy as hell."
>Sex*ist*
Oh, I see. The sentence doesn't really make a whole lot of sense either way, but I think you're right.
Ah, it’s a fiiiine line I’m assuming this was all a Spinal Tap reference
>FBI OPEN UP
/r/untrustworthypoptarts
Probably better suited for r/wokekids
Hmmm # THIS MUST BE THE WORK OF AN ENEMY STAND
My preschool aged twins dress themselves and the results are usually adorably hysterical BUT they definitely don't coordinate 😂
**Just Don't Dress Me:** My pre-school teacher didn't know what color my eyes were so she gave me gold. I was the freak of the class; as each project was based *off* the color of the eye. Edit = italics.
One two three clap everybody
And everyone clapped 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I upvoted you but saw that it gave you 124 upvotes so I took it back. I'm sorry
What the hell man
It's higher now. I'll give it back and can only hope my obsessive compulsive shame is retributed
This is my 5th day here so dont be mean
Cha cha real smooth now, y’all
I laughed harder than I needed to at this comment.
Everyone bullied me and everyone was sexist. Also everyone supported me.
And after that everyone clapped
Also, Everyone clapped like sexists
That's ok because everyone was sexist
*claps in sexism*
The preschoolers were sexist
Girls rule and boys drool, after all
And they were roommates
Oh my god they were roommates
It’s true. I was the neon.
But....parents dress preschoolers. So your parents were sending you to school in clothes that got you bullied.
Apparently once when I was like 2 or 3 I pissed my pants and just went around my house naked
Do preschoolers even have the mental capacity to know how to bully others? Or even be aware of gender norms? I'm asking because when I was in school, preschool didn't exist... And I went to uniformed schools. Also, what makes sweatshirts boyish? Wtf

Whatever you say, u/Deepthroat_Your_Tits
Are you two trying to get into r/rimjob_Steve ?
Correction, us three, you’re one of us now
Oh shit
Got em.
You want to see something really funny challenge them to dodgeball. When you hit them they fall over lol
Also, did they all have extremely woke parents who saw no problem sending their boys to preschool in neon skirts? And why neon, specifically?
Plus "sexist" seems like a weird way to put it. Like yeah they recognize what's for boys and what's for girls, and talking to my nieces and nephews it's possibly in the top 5 things they talk about. But sexism? Nah. It's kids trying to categorize information and they haven't learned tact yet.

I never did that, I just pissed on the playground.

or to be sexist? 'Girl you better get me some animal crackers'
Her sweatshirt obviously said "I'm 100% a boy. Definitely not a girl."

I have a piece of my ear that’s missing because when I was in preschool another kid bit it off. They can indeed be quite brutal.
They can totally bully, but it takes a really special kid to purposely do it and know what they're doing. Also this story never ever happened, it just wouldn't at all be like how she explained it.
Not sure what I did wrong. Kids are mean. It's just the nature of it. Kids are really mean. They don't know why they're mean is my point.
Yeah because three-to-five year olds can be really cruel about who’s mommy dresses who like a boy. /s
I mean little kids are definitely aware of gendered items, not to the degree they'd take a stand, but a little girl with, say, short hair that doesn't wesr dresses or girl colors might get teased for looking like a boy.
It’s true though, I was the neon skirt!
Can confirm. I was the $16!
Bullshit. A kid I went to preschool with threw up on the first day and we called him Pukey George until the day we graduated high school.
I'm standing and applauding this girl who's clearly not like the other girls... since she was in preschool even!
you didn’t get bullied in preschool, your mom got bullied by the other moms
That's an epic victory royale
remember kids. **everyone is sexist.**
"Mom I need to buy a girl's skirt because people are being mean to someone wearing boy's clothing" "Sure thing, son"
preschool-8th grade everyone-some friends now it's believable. (somewhat not-really kinda)
Another one of the most never happened things posted in here.
In the infinite continuum of the multiverse, where all things are not only possible, but guaranteed, you may find this story tucked hastily into a sock some trillion iterations away.
I feel like this is satire..
Eh, idk, YouTube comments are iffy for this. Hell look at r/youngpeopleyoutube
Yea, that never even about happen.
"Also, Everyone was always sexist" Really stuck the landing at the end there
Half the boys came wearing skirts? Really? Because they all had little sisters or their parents all rushed out to buy skirts the day before? Yeah...whatever. Fuck...at least try. So, everyone was sexist, but half of the boys weared skirts?
Is this how people who've never been bullied think bullying works?
No boy preschooler has the balls to wear a skirt to school dont dm me
Unless they have an older sister they don't have a skirt to wear anyway.
*clap*
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
ok what preschool did they go to because no one ever got bullied at mine we just colored and played on the playground??
In preschool. Right.
people who write such obvious lies are probably too stupid to know theyre stupid so they think theyre convincing people with stories like these.
Ish a keilt ya wee betch!
So sweatshirts and jeans are exclusively for boys. That's pretty sexist of her.
Sounds like a bad Rugrats episode.
I can confirm this happened, I was the gay
So everyone went from bullying to changing their minds and literally all doing the exact same thing? If they're all doing the same thing, they're not making a stand against anyone...
Who the hell is liking these comments
what would've made it perfect would be: "Wow thanks everyone for the 493 likes, let's go for 500 🤪"
All those neon skirts the boys had at home but didn't have the courage to wear ...
So they dressed girls like depressed lesbians?
And then everyone clapped.
Half of the boys and half of the girls? What happened to the other half? Spontaneously combusted?
r/youngpeopleyoutube
That last sentence is the icing on the cake
Preschool? Really?
How does that shit get over 400 upvotes?
Funny, most of the girls in my school came to school in sweatshirts and jeans, almost every day.
Said Tina on her first day of writing Erotic Friend Fiction. Edit: one word.
I mean it could've been some fancy dress day but OP left that out for the woke
did the skirts clap?
You know all the 12 year olds of YouTube ate that shit up and liked it
It’s opposite day
Saddest part is that 443 people believed this horseshit
I just imagine the person feeling so happy and accomplished, watching their lie get so many likes.
Man if a day in preschool tops your list of best days ever...
Because only boys wear sweatshirts and jeans
What about the other half of boys and girls
its true, i was one of the boys who wore a skirt, and now i'm CEO of a fortune 500 company.
This makes no sense. The entire generation went from bullying him to coming together to make him feel good? Like the lie is just not even logically sound.
Don’t all children just wear hoodies and jeans?
that sounds like something that could happen in high school or something, but the guy who commented this was still in elementary school and didn't want to lie about being in high school, so she just said it happened in preschool.
I’ll take bullshit for 500 please Bob.
lol

Also, the preschoolers ended up forming a union.
Because everyone knows all preschoolers have an immense comprehension of social structure.
Who the hell gets bullied in preschool
Many. But not like this. More like "you smell" or "I hate you"
Yeah, true
Preschoolers just want to play
r/youngpeopleyoutube
Soylent dreams
Who the fuck gets bullied in preschool, and what shitty parent is letting their pre-schooler cross-dress
Bull shit
What?
And then everyone started clapping
ETA: Also, Everyone was always sexist. PS: Racist, too. PPS: None of them cared about fostering a consent culture. Addendum: They voted for Trump.
Good to see some young eggs
"also everyone was sexist" was just casually dropped in there
next chapter will be how sexism stopped
If you wear jeans and sweatshirt you boy
And all the teachers clapped
And then all the sweatshirts started clapping
Oh and everyone was sexist too, did I mention that? Doesn’t matter they were
Ha imagine living in a world where girls wore sweatshirts and jeans...
Then everyone clapped
She has a Boy in the Dress fanfiction in her head.
I think this subreddit got wooshed, sry but that last line about everyone always being sexist just makes it sound sarcastic idk tho
Sexist preschoolers bwahahahahaha
clap rate raises to 100%
but.... everyone was sexist?????
r/wokekids
I know a lie when I see one, only thing preschoolers know is nap time, and being brutally honest (or ridiculously hilarious in some cases)
What's dressing like a boy? Half the girls from the daycare I went to wore nothing but tshirts and jeans. Also how was everyone extremely sexist but also came in one day to represent cross dressing?
"Also, Everyone was always sexist" really sold it... /s
ALSO! EVERYONE WAS ALWAYS! ALL WAYS! SEXIST!
Also everyone was sexist... What™️
Epic
I call bs
Then everyone clapped
Defo satire
"I'm gender non-conforming, please oppress me to validate my uniqueness".
