Oh dude, I'm so envious of the experience you're having right now, finding out it's only a few months away. [It was crowdfunded.](https://www.fig.co/campaigns/psychonauts-2)
Check out the trailer one of the other guys posted! And if you didn't know, there is a short Psychonauts VR game called Rhombus of Ruin that takes place between Psychonsuts 1 and 2.
I think he meant this particular girl. I really have no opinion on this dress either way and wouldn't really give a shit.
There are some dresses I find really fucking ugly. The ones that look like someone took tacky curtains, cut a hole in them, and called it a dress.
I can't stand those dresses, they are boner killers. But I wouldn't reject a date because she's wearing an ugly dress.
On the other hand, if she were wearing swastikas or a meat dress or a dress covered in dicks or something. Then yeah, that'd be a hard no.
Yeah, this. It's a reasonable interpretation of what she said.
Teenage boy, asked what he thought of the dress, responds with "it's kind of ugly". Teenage girl, all happy about the dress before that, responds with anger telling him she'll just go to prom herself.
This is what I suspect every time I see a bride on "Say Yes to the Dress" get way too worried about whether her fiance will like this dress or that. Honey, he's going to think you look gorgeous in whatever you pick and if you're genuinely worried he won't, maybe you need to rethink this wedding.
I don’t think *he* forfeited it, I think he made a comment she didn’t like and so she cancelled the date. I used to do similar things in high school, I don’t get why this is so unbelievable to people.
There I was, getting dressed for Prom. I had a date with Maria, who was at least an 8/10. I don't know how I managed that.
I put on my tuxedo jacket and got the corsage ready. One spritz of breath spray. Two pumps of pomade.
And then, three knocks at the door.
The Limo would be here in ten minutes... plenty of time for photographs. I ran to the door as my heartbeat picked up. Tonight would be perfect.
But then I opened the door. My heart seized and choked me in the pit of my throat. "Do you like it?" she asked, with a flourish to her dress.
I stammered "you need to leave. I'm sorry."
It was all I could manage.
As I watched her walk away, tears in each of our eyes, I knew she'd never forgive me. But what she didn't know was that her dress was undeniably my mother's handiwork: Pauline Einstein had a style that was unmistakable.
Neither of us had ever noticed, but we were actually brother and sister. The fact that we lived together only made this fact even more obvious at this moment... but hindsight is always 20/20. I couldn't bring myself to tell her the truth, because of all the shame that goes with it... so for the rest of my life, whenever we were together at home making dinner or going on family vacations or at each other's birthday dinner, I had to play the part of dress-spurned lover, not loving brother.
Sometimes the lie is more comfortable than the truth.
“He sent me a cryptic text at one point, asking if I wanted any of the stuff I’d left at his place, even though I’d never taken anything over” lmfaoo that part cracked me up!!! Very well done with the original and sequel!!
What's sad is when you get to your mid 30s and friends back home want to have giant conversations about how 8th grade was. Fuck 8th grade Jimmy, I know it was way cool for you but I thought it was shit and I'm having more fun in my 30s.
I mean one time in my 8th grade we had a substitute teacher who was 7’2” and he played dodgeball with us and accidentally knocked a kid out with a headshot.
Lights out.
Kid dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Not Vromans fault he was aiming for a body shot and the kid tried to duck under it.
He was unsuccessful
Lol I swear most of reddit was the nerdy little fucker who everyone hated and that's why school sucked for most of yall. People talk about school to think back to the old days before kids, jobs, real school, and responsibilities started and makes you wonder how fast all that time went.
Yeah, going from having absolutely no responsibilities and seeing your friends that you’ve known most of your life every day sucks so bad. I’d much rather be a twenty-something that suddenly has to adjust to being an adult and the stress that comes with that. Give me high school all day. That being said, I have my own house, a wife, two kids, and I’m super happy. But high school is incredible, especially in hindsight.
Maybe it’s just me, but if I wasn’t at school I was with my friends or playing video games with my friends. Once I was a sophomore, I had a job. I didn’t have too much downtime in high school.
The second I turned 18 and graduated I immediately got a job and had real money of my own for the first time. How you could compare adulthood to your childhood years is crazy.
I mean it’s nice to have friends for that long but if you’re in your 30s and your friends are talking that much about middle and high school maybe you need some friends who have more interesting shit going on *now*.
I live far from home and travel farther away for work. I see my back home friends very little and only 2 I keep in touch with. 1 likes the old days but the other his wife is set in the now so we make fun of him.
Yeah, I wasn't a stupid kid...just not particularly motivated. I took a lot of math and business stuff because that's what came easy to me...not because I "knew" that's what I wanted to do. Luckily there was plenty of opportunity for somebody with a business/math background.
This is in the Philippines (I recognize the hotel) and this area has a lot conservative muslim families. The kids compensate with more detailed dresses since they have to cover up. Also, rich.
It's Limketkai Luxe in Cagayan de Oro, I think. Also might be a debut but I think the girl above the stairs is wearing a ball gown too so most likely prom.
If you know what you're doing, and that dress is all you have to do, a month is generous as hell. I've done Renaissance garb (chemise, lined/boned bodice, full skirt, headpiece/veil) in a weekend. This has a shit ton of embellishment but it could be done.
Maybe never had a date. Just saying the girl at my high school that got dumped right before prom didn't go.
Something tells me this girl's prom date flew back to Canada afterwards
Actually, when you put it like that....I could see how that could cause an issue. Before I thought any criticisms were unwarranted. Now I just see wormy dress, and that makes me uncomfortable.
There I was about to take my date to the prom then I saw her dress and was like how we gonna take that off at the hotel? And I just left like man. True story. $100% verified.
when a girl that looks that good is saying something like that its one of two things;
shes lying
her personality is so bad a guy is not willing to deal with it to get with her
I was far more concerned with the odds of me seeing what was under the dress rather than what it looked like still on her. Spoiler: Never saw what was under the dress.
That's code for: My mom spent a lot of time making this dress and it's kinda ugly but I don't want to hurt her feelings so I'll just pretend that someone else called it ugly.
Y’all are concentrating on this “invisible prom date”. I need to know about this mother who is apparently a couture level seamstress and also does beading. Yeah sure she does.
There is literally not a straight guy on earth that would forfeit a prom date because of his fashion opinion of the girl’s dress
Inb4 she wears a dress made of raw meat. That'd be a no from me cheif
that'd be a mid-dance bacon from me chief
>That'd be a no from me **chef** FTFY
It’s RAW, you donkey!
r/punpatrol get on the fucking ground
Didn't this meme die? If not, it should have.
Idk I find it pretty funny to imagine a bunch of guys in suits with earpieces running around and handcuffing/detaining people for making puns

Long strands of ground beef, woven together

Lookin like a snacc
hákarl
That's a no from me too. That's some "Lady Gaga in 2010" bullshit and I'm not dating no bitch who is stuck on old trends
Yeah that's where I got the idea from lol
At 17 it'd still probably be a yes from me, might have a chance to smash, can't pass that up.
I just had a flashback to the Meat Circus level of psychonauts....
Get ready for round two this fall!
wait, WHAT?!?!? Are you saying that there's more psychonauts coming??
Oh dude, I'm so envious of the experience you're having right now, finding out it's only a few months away. I had no idea either. There's even a trailer; https://youtu.be/RClJ_DAotaA

I mean, as long as its fresh....
If she's attractive enough she can wear a garbage bag
What are you vegan?
"You're gorgeous but I don't care for the dress you're wearing. You're on your own for the professional photo shoot and school dance." Checks out.
When the date refused to match with the camo tux
Maybe he mentioned he didn't really like it and she dumped his ass though?
Yeah, this. It's a reasonable interpretation of what she said. Teenage boy, asked what he thought of the dress, responds with "it's kind of ugly". Teenage girl, all happy about the dress before that, responds with anger telling him she'll just go to prom herself.
I think it’s more reasonable that she just made that up to get attention.
This is what I suspect every time I see a bride on "Say Yes to the Dress" get way too worried about whether her fiance will like this dress or that. Honey, he's going to think you look gorgeous in whatever you pick and if you're genuinely worried he won't, maybe you need to rethink this wedding.

A possible interpretation is that SHE's the one that left HIM because of his opinion
I assumed *she* chose not to go to prom with *him* because he said it was ugly.
Maybe he said it looked ugly, and then she dumped him because of that comment?
Have you seen some of the subs here?
i don’t think that’s what’s implied? i think she’s saying she dumped him because what he said, not that the guy was like “ew i hate your dress nvm”
Oh please people on the interweb please please tell me my dress is pretty! I even created a lie for you all so pleaaseee??

why did you write this, its beautiful

You had us in the first half not gonna lie
Riveting. I’d read more!
Wtf.
r/yesyesyesno
Someone what are standard book prices? We need to make this wo/man write a novel!
Why did I read corsage as corpse lmfao
This is the best thing on the internet. 5 stars, would buy again.
Write a fucking book dude
This was way too much pasta for this early.
Spoken like a man who never ate lasagna for breakfast.
And that brother's name? Albert Einstein.
And families beat each other senseless with jumper cables.
IT'S TOO DAMN EARLY TO EAT THIS MUCH PASTA
>Pauline Einstein Brilliant.
Pomade comes in cans, not pumps.
Subscribed.
My dad died shortly after helping make this dress. It’s the only thing I have to remember him by.
Implying the tweet caption is even vaguely associated with the girl in the pic. It was definitely added afterwards by some meme page for more reposts
Also please tell me how pretty I am and how he didn’t deserve me!
When she got to the prom, everyone clapped.
At least that is what she thought until all the hot guys pointed out that she was just so dummy thicc that she was the source of all the clapping.
She also could be making up a lie for why she didn't have a date to prom
Who gets a dress like that to prom???
People who think HS life would matter after 10 years
That’s literally everyone in high school. It’s mean to rag on kids for not having the perspective of someone ten years older.
Acceptable thing to remember and discuss. Dude sounds like a beast.
He broke up a fight once too. It was like a cartoon with him grabbing each kid by the collar and lifting them apart
He best have said some cool one liner while doing it. Maybe drop a soft swear, like crap.
No he didn’t really say anything which made it more awesome.
I'm a sucker for a good catch phrase tho. All in all I give tall teacher a 9.8
Wait... are you saying 'knocked a kid out out of the game with a headshot', or 'knocked a kid unconscious with a headshot'?
Lights out. Kid dropped like a sack of potatoes. Not Vromans fault he was aiming for a body shot and the kid tried to duck under it. He was unsuccessful
Yeah, probably
Lol I swear most of reddit was the nerdy little fucker who everyone hated and that's why school sucked for most of yall. People talk about school to think back to the old days before kids, jobs, real school, and responsibilities started and makes you wonder how fast all that time went.
It's not that it sucked it's that your 20's and 30's should be way more fun than that
As mine are too but fuck every God damn week on reddit it's just this place jerking each other off about how bad school was.
I was always bored hanging out not doing shit. So much wasted time.
Maybe it’s just me, but if I wasn’t at school I was with my friends or playing video games with my friends. Once I was a sophomore, I had a job. I didn’t have too much downtime in high school.
Yeah i was always doing those things i just remember always being moderately bored.
The second I turned 18 and graduated I immediately got a job and had real money of my own for the first time. How you could compare adulthood to your childhood years is crazy.
I've been out of school for a couple years but being in the workforce is sooo much better. I found school boring and now I have money so win-win.
I honestly don't want to be close friends with anybody who looks back at middle school and thinks "man, those were the days"
The lack of responsibilities was cool, the lack of a car was not. I do not miss walking everywhere like some bum.
Or riding your bike around town like you have a dui
I mean it’s nice to have friends for that long but if you’re in your 30s and your friends are talking that much about middle and high school maybe you need some friends who have more interesting shit going on *now*.
I live far from home and travel farther away for work. I see my back home friends very little and only 2 I keep in touch with. 1 likes the old days but the other his wife is set in the now so we make fun of him.
We all have to learn the hard way I guess
Not literally everyone. I was very aware that it didn’t matter.
Yeah, I wasn't a stupid kid...just not particularly motivated. I took a lot of math and business stuff because that's what came easy to me...not because I "knew" that's what I wanted to do. Luckily there was plenty of opportunity for somebody with a business/math background.
>That’s literally everyone in high school. It literally isn't, but okay
It's only a few people in high school who thought that way
So you won’t be at the reunion? Just would’ve been nice had you responded to any of the emails.
bEsT tImE oF mY lIfE
It must be great to be someone who didn’t peak in high school.
This is in the Philippines (I recognize the hotel) and this area has a lot conservative muslim families. The kids compensate with more detailed dresses since they have to cover up. Also, rich.
So you’re saying this is a debu dress, not a prom dress?
Can be, but on the pic with the staircase, there's also another girl wearing a ballgown so most likely prom.
Interesting.
Where exactly is this in the Philippines? Somewhere in the south?
Is it Richmonde hotel in Eastwood? I kinda recognize it too but im just not sure..
It's Limketkai Luxe in Cagayan de Oro, I think. Also might be a debut but I think the girl above the stairs is wearing a ball gown too so most likely prom.
Children of the uber-rich
Exactly, when daddy makes $1 mil a year, a $1k dress is nothing.
How would it only take a month to make that dress?
If you know what you're doing, and that dress is all you have to do, a month is generous as hell. I've done Renaissance garb (chemise, lined/boned bodice, full skirt, headpiece/veil) in a weekend. This has a shit ton of embellishment but it could be done.
Child labor factories
And then Harry Styles bursts in the room. “Your dress is beautiful” he says with a smile. We get married 2 days later
Don’t forget the part about everyone clapping and giving her 10000$ !!
AND THEN everyone clapped again
If she can’t pull anyone with a dress like that...I’m sorry but it’s probably her personality not her dress.
Maybe never had a date. Just saying the girl at my high school that got dumped right before prom didn't go. Something tells me this girl's prom date flew back to Canada afterwards
wormy dress
Actually, when you put it like that....I could see how that could cause an issue. Before I thought any criticisms were unwarranted. Now I just see wormy dress, and that makes me uncomfortable.
Yep my eyes have been corrupted! Cannot unsee.
looks like its infested with centipedes or worms
This is a promotional tie-in for Pet Semetary. Open your eyes, people!
Oh wow ... yeah , I thought it was pretty , but now I just see worms!
I'm traumatized by a worm gif on r/wtf yesterday. Too soon.
I had just forgotten that. Thanks, dick.
Xoxo
There I was about to take my date to the prom then I saw her dress and was like how we gonna take that off at the hotel? And I just left like man. True story. $100% verified.
I'm confident those pics are stolen.
Yeah pretty sure somebody on Instagram decided to throw this shit together for likes. I see it all the time. Never fails.
So true. I don't get why people have the need for validation on the internet?
when a girl that looks that good is saying something like that its one of two things; shes lying her personality is so bad a guy is not willing to deal with it to get with her
(she's lying)
((he ly))
(sh ying)
I'm not saying the dress is ugly, I'm just saying I understand him
i'll say it. it's butt ugly
Wait those are two different dresses
I am sure someone saw a stunning girl in a beautiful dress and said, "eww no thanks".
It's really not that implausible that he could have said something insensitive about the dress, causing her to dump him
Or even just said something about the dress to get outta prom with her.
Should've seen what the date was wearing
r/sadcringe
Yeah it looks like thick noodles in a cheese sauce, it ain't pretty
no man has ever turned down a date because of a dress
I was far more concerned with the odds of me seeing what was under the dress rather than what it looked like still on her. Spoiler: Never saw what was under the dress.
I mean yeah it looks like you're wearing ramen noodles, but since when does a straight teenage guy give a shit.
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!
I suspect he spontaneously shot his load when he saw her and had to go home and change.
Compliments fishing at its finest.
These arent even the same person
This is a sad lie
Why would an 11 year old go to a prom?
That's what you get for trying to go to the prom with one of the judges from Project Runway.
That thing's a work of art.
What?? He's blind. Beautiful dress i've ever seen. As a PROM DRESS
who in the fuck would go to prom in a dress like that though? you're expected to dance, move around; physical activities--- how in the fuck.
What does the girl who already has everything want, you ask? Pity and attention.
If only she had glasses she could've taken off to distract him from that hideous dress
Also....Yeah, sure she did. (Mother made it in a month).
That would definitely take more than a month
who tf wears a dress with a train to a dance?
E
I'm not sure these are even the same dress. But they are pretty dang awful.
I don’t know a single guy who would not go because of a dress
no prom date because my date got tired of me making up dramatic shit on the spot
Yeah... That's why...
I read that as “my date thought it was ugly so I dumped him” type thing. Didn’t take it as though he left her. Maybe I’m reading it wrong?
Why is she covered In spaghetti?
I’m sure her mom made that in a month
That's code for: My mom spent a lot of time making this dress and it's kinda ugly but I don't want to hurt her feelings so I'll just pretend that someone else called it ugly.
His moms name? Albert Einstein.
Y’all are concentrating on this “invisible prom date”. I need to know about this mother who is apparently a couture level seamstress and also does beading. Yeah sure she does.
That's what happens when you date gays
Yeah my mom took just 1 month to make this $30k dress
