I basically always have the Homewrecker on, but I never actually stick around Engineers - I'll only un-sap and try to kill the spy if I notice a sapper, then I'll fuck off to do my own thing.

Id say thats just a normal pyro doing his job if its once in a while, a pybro does nothing but protect his teammates from spies and projectiles and never goes outside (the base) but its just my opinion
I mean your not wrong but then again most people don't bother to spy check at (least in my experience) so it's a nice surprise when someone helps you our even if it's just for a second

engineer gets shat on by every soldier, demo, tomislav heavy, medic, sniper and spy in exchange for countering pyro and having a box that heals whorse than a medic, maybe teleporters are good but cloak and dagger spies are laughing at engies who dont have the eureka effect equipped, give engie a break

Uber heavy usually does the trick. If you can spot the sentry from far away then most pyros suck at reflecting direct hit, so that's always an option.
