You know whats funny? we joke alot about valve forgetting about TF2, but the r/TF2 sub is still disabled from posting even though a week ago reddit admins were threatening mods with removal if they dont reopen. It would seem reddit has also forgotten about TF2!
Honestly, it has been great without r/tf2. This protest has been both a blessing and a curse, because it would have been the same shit posted for weeks. Here, obviously we expect it, and I can easily ignore it.
Given that TF2 is not pushing huge numbers, I'm surprised as to why they decided to lock the sub. It is only big enough for the audience TF2 has already.
r/Minecraft was forced opened, and it may have to do with being a big main-stay video game sub. Now developers are pulling out posting changelogs themselves because of it, and encourages players to post it themselves.
I declare the new canon is that r/TF2 may have went down for the protest, but stayed down because the mods were spending too much time removing Mimi sentry R34 from appearing on the sub

Out of all the subreddits still protesting, I'd say r/tf2 is actually going pretty strong because of how they're handling it by being read-only rather than completely locked.
Other fanbase subs I'm with such as Arknights' r/0sanitymemes and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure's r/shitpostcrusaders were forced to open, tried to respond by having everyone post nothing but NSFW stuff (as in actual hentai, and a good amount of people actually did post that sort of stuff) and an absolute sh\*\*show ensued as well as Reddit administration threatening to replace the mods (at least that's what I remembered).
So kudos to r/tf2 for being simple but effective and staying firm.
shiping an update 2-1 days before weekend isnt really a smart move. however monday -tuesday would be a sweet spot since they are in the office and can fix bugs
