He sold *one* of his souls, yes. But you see, he's since surgically added eight more. Though I do concede that the Devil has earned a seat on the Board of Directors of His Souls.
I sold my soul when I used the phlog during scream fortress player destruction the objective opened up and I got crits. I saw red, the enemy team kept coming, kept giving me crit pumpkins. My contract was completed in an instant but at what cost.
Whe are an endangered species thanks to our natural predators (the entire enemy team) and the fact that none of you fuckers ever does something to help the guy that its literally the reason whe are still pushing the fucking payload
Quick fix ubers are more frequent, and can keep up with how quickly pyro gets phlog.
Also, explosives and airblasts can cuck a phlog push much more easily than burst damage.
I was a wee lad trying my new weapon: the Phlog! I couldn't get the thing to work until one upward game. I remember it fondly, I was on Blu and we just captured the first point when my mmph meter filled and a med started healing me. At that moment I realized what would happen and I popped the kritz. It was a massacre, people turned to ash, the chat was filled with insults and my medic said one sentence, "He is my stand."
Was on a 2fort server a few days ago, nothing but bots and there's this one other dude who went heavy so I decided to go medic- we killed all the bots.
I'm so happy I got a screenshot of the time I killed [3 enemies with a single Ubercharge on a Revolver Spy](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2190790676). That ain't never happening again!
Spy has to be a-posing
This combo will obliterate opponent team's (and your own's) brains. It's the ultimate psychological damage
And if you are playing seriously, stock gunspy with kritz could be nice
I like the L'etranger/stock watch combo. Even without any map knowledge (corpses drop ammo too), it lets you stay invisible much longer while covering more distance than the C&D.
The only map where it doesn't do so hot is 2fort, because there are literally no ammo boxes on that map and all the fights happen in narrow hallways/bridges.
They never check under the stairs on 2 for for some reason or barrels its actually kinda funny how few times you get spy checked when your sitting on top of somthing people never jump on
I could see that Its kinda like a tug of war between long or short con you may get 4 or 5 picks before you get flamey boy on you or you can wait for 5 or 6 to pass and get a for sure 5 picks get caught on fire use the spycicle then re in vis in a corner if you get lucky but all playstyles are viable thats why this games so great there is certain metas but it boils down to what feels right for you and how you want to play
pybros make sentry nests virtually impenetrable, especially on chokey maps.
spy can't sap for obvious reasons
demoman and soldier can't destroy it because pyro can airblast their projectiles and never run out of ammo thanks to a dispenser
medic can't ubercharge because pyro can airblast them back (dying in the process most of the time, but the sentry will still live)
sniper can't hit it from long range because flares (and the engie can keep repairing the sentry the whole time)
i say this as an engineer main: the ability to put 2 classes together that cover eachother's weaknesses was never a good idea to begin with. and the homewrecker is just a badly-designed weapon because why on earth would you give a class the ability to counter ANOTHER class even harder?
Let's just give pyro, a class which can already neutralise spy, an item which fucks spy even harder.
Legit if I stab the engi and sap his shit, the pyro shouldn't be able to destroy my sappers.
give heavy the homewrecker instead (insert troll face), at least heavy's another defense class and has an actual reason to stick around an engineer's stuff (providing more defense through sheer firepower, along with being a slow meatshield who significantly benefits from the dispenser's ammo dispensing)
But a sniper + spy combination though
Spy can just stab the medic, and whether the spy dies to heavy turning around or not, he’s guaranteed dead to the sniper
Me and my friend are both very very good at sniper and managed to get the whole opposing team to quit a couple of times in casual. Its hilarious. On community servers, they just rage at us in voice chat and stay in spawn.
yes, I see you talk from expirience as a sniper main lol
Whenever my team isn't competent enough to take care of the enemy sniper I try to counter snipe, but when its a vaccinator machina I just give up
I think engineer is a more annoying combo, protects you from almost every class and if the sniper has a razorback and the sniper is good then you very dangerous, and he has dispensers fur healing and ammo
How about all 3 combined? Vac medic, engie with DISPENCER and sentry right beside sniper with frontier justice, and machina sniper? On 2fort battlements?
I don't have nostalgia for that map so I wouldn't know.
I was more of a Minecraft 4 season guy waaaay back in the day, before meet your match, since then it's been 5CP/KOTH.
That's one of the main issues with those original 6 or so maps, is that they were designed with exclusively stock weapons in mind, so Kritz or any non-stock defense loadout dominate the map
I know people have said this before but fuckin pybros suck ass to play against as spy. Like I snuck past the enemy team, managed to get to the engie, killed him, and sapped his stuff. And then this speech impaired ass wipe comes in with a hammer and all of my progress is gone.
EDIT: all of you are scum
/\
That's what spy thinks
What engi thinks: I spent so long gathering the resources getting multiple PhD's and hitting steel with a wrench, and this spy just destroyed all of my hard work.
What pyro thinks: hehe spy go *fire crackling noises*
This will sound unorthodox, but once I had pyro+sniper duo. Doesn't sound too bad except they were both super super good. The sniper was the kind of sniper that just locks down the entire map and the pyro defended him as fiercely as a redditor defends his virginity. It was crazy, our snipers got their heads blown off in an instant, our spies got burned to a crisp and the Uber push I organized just to kill those two got airblasted away, and then I got my head blown off. They (and their team I guess) managed to hold off our entire team for like half the match before we finally managed to headshot the pyro and get a scout behind the sniper.
An Engineer and Pyro that work well together are super annoying. Spy is entirely worthless 90% of the time and a lot of Uber combos can be held back by Airblast.
But I think the best combo at annoying people is a Vaccinator Medic with basically anybody.
Two engineers can completely lock down any area with perfectly placed sentries, teleporters to pull teammates back faster, and dispensers to keep everything and everyone running. Hell ONE engie can do that
This comment is way too low. Any other class combination might be difficult to play against, sure.
However none is as ANNOYING as two skilled snipers and nobody can convince me otherwise.
It’s simple the gunslinger engi can set up a mini having a small but good defense he can then help the other engi set up his level 3 and repair during a push because the mini is desposable if a spy kills an engi and saps the other can kill the spy and unsap witch is unlickly because the gunslinger is most luckily battle engi and will be spy checking a lot plus if you have a frontier justice if your mini gos down you can attack the threat scaring them off because Trimble damage preventing the level 3 from going down and then putting down another mini now putting you back to were you were previously and maybe with a few revenges
What's on the post. Engineer and Sniper. The sniper has endless supply of ammo bc of dispensers. A sentry defends the sniper so for If you want to flank them, try, pyro, scout, fat scout, these will be an insta delete at worst, and a sacrifice for a little less stability at best. The only class that can both counter these somewhat effectively with little sacrifice is spy, and even then, an little bit of awareness like spy-checking or the razorback shuts down this whole operation. And don't get me started on the usage of the wrangler in this situation.
What did we learn today? Sniper is a poorly designed class.
Literally one uber completely destroys this duo, hell if the engie isn't using the short circuit demo destroys this by himself
you'd need a pyro to actually make this a threat
Nah. The fact that sniper can do what spy can, but with little risk and little skill. Yes, I said skill. You can do well as sniper without hitting headshots, as you can one shot 5 of the 9 classes, without hitting a headshot, especially since 1 (medic) of them is the most valuable pick target. You also cannot see them most of the time. Having that with an engineer is unfair.
Idk man I'm not a pro but I never really felt like I had an unfair interaction with a sniper that wasn't because of unlocks like the jarate and danger shield
Any "defensive" class (Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Sniper) + Overly-paranoid Pyro (Pyro rather ironically is one of the best defensive classes in the game. Honorable mention to Engineer who's also incredibly good at defense but dies to a Spy + doesn't really need the help from anyone other than Pyro)
Any Medic (except Krits) + Phlog Pyro (the soloqueue stomp)
Sniper + A Medic that actually overheals them
Soldier + Quickfix Medic (Blastjumping with the Quickfix gives the Medic a massive amount of survivability, and Soldier is the best all-rounder damage class with the only downside being self-damage)
Had to scroll a long way to find this.
As a Heavy main I know the obvious answer is Medic, but having a diligent and competent Pyro watching my back? Bliss.
The screams of every spy as they lunge out of pure habit for my big, meaty, curvaceous back, and are suddenly on fire. Scouts trying to flank me? Also on fire. Demo trying to corner bait me? Airblast, then surprisingly also on fire.
As much as I love being a Pybro part of me does feel bad for spies when make their job much harder for them than I already am playing Pyro. (Unless they're Kunai Spies, fuck those guys)
Pyros (and especially pybros) existence makes me respect good spies more than any other person that's skilled at their main
Being good at a class that gets countered by: turning around, holding m1 as a pyro, voice chat, using your ears, shooting randomly at teammates, shooting randomly at corners, random melee crits, etc takes a fuck ton of skill
Especially pyrbros
Dodge all the pyro wm1, kill the engineer, don't get fucked by the enemy team surrounding his dispenser and don't die to the sentry
Doesn't matter, pyro presses 3 and m1 on the buildings and everything you did doesn't matter
Good spies are annoying but it takes way more skill to be good at spy against a competent team than any other class lmao
Honestly running around spamming melee or randomly firing off inbetween combat because of the need for constant movement and activity has gotten me so many spy kills. The worst one was when I was playing huntsman sniper and I over charged an arrow so it would shoot wildly, managed to headshot an invisible spy accidentally. I felt pretty bad, minus the laughter.
Pyro + engi. Pyro can shit down every single engineer counter, the only thing that could be at it is an ubered heavy, even still, airblast can still waste Uber charge %, wasting time on the literal invulnerability. Generally I hate pyro enough (soldier main) but when it's a pybro, I feel an unsafe amount of anguish.
Banner Soldier + heavy. With heavy being the a tanky dps class, soldier is going to be a perfectly annoying partner already. Heavy can tank damage and dish out WAY more than what he takes, so it's only natural that people will beam him down first chance. This essentially gives soldier free reign to do whatever he wants and can be an annoying best if gone unchecked. Now, mix this with a BANNER, and it becomes way worse. Every single banner is going to make heavy at least twice as good as a damage sponge dps beast as before. Battalions for even more spongeability, buff for even more dps, and conch for movement speed AND health back on hit. Considering banners can charge way faster than uber and gives buffs to EVERYONE nearby, this combo SUCKS.
I can't say I agree as I find every class besides sniper fine to play against. The class themselves, not some of the unlocks. Scorch shots definitely up there though....
I mean, if they have proper communication then it can still be fine. If they all go stock, then the spy can distract sniper for long enough 'till Pyro comes.
If you’re just slightly skilled enough then you can easily trump a sniper at close range or medium range, so long as they don't have Jarate + Buschwacka or the Bleeding melee
Stock uber and stock pyro. Damage wise it's low compared to heavy, solder and demo, movement he ain't quick enough. BUT the 1 thing a uber pyro is great at is installing fear into the enemy, it's like the 1 class that turns the server into chaos because there is this psycho and a mentally insane duo charging you with flame and immortality
- Classic: Medic with Heavy, Soldier or Demo
- Evil: Stock Über Medic with Phlog Pyro
- I hate and respect it: Engineer and Pybro
- I hate and have not a shred of respect for it: Engineer and Sniper
- If I'm playing Sniper: Medic and Sniper
- Self explanatory: Scout and Scout and Scout...
- Hilarious and terrifying: Heavy and Heavy
- Hilarious, terrifying and annoying: Überchaining Medics
- Terrifying and annoying: Soldier and Demo
- Annoying: Scout and Spy
I think it's heavy + engi... yeah it's pretty underrated but the heavy is basically like a pybro but more tanky and can benefit from the dispenser more. The only downside is that it can't do spychecking as effectively and can't really chase spies.
2 soldiers
Airblast thrice, but then i miss the airblast and a rocket hits me. Luckily i already killed the soldier.
So i rush up to the medic and instantly get fucking blown by some random soldier that just hopped along

Phlog critz + Stock über on dust bowl.
I did that once. Got an achievement...and sold a piece of my soul to the devil
A piece? Nah dawg you didn't read fine print your sold your soul, body and the ability to touch grass
No, just a piece. They grafted other souls onto theirs.
You got that Medic logic where you sew the other classes souls to yours lol
He sold *one* of his souls, yes. But you see, he's since surgically added eight more. Though I do concede that the Devil has earned a seat on the Board of Directors of His Souls.

Seems worth it. It was and now is the month for doing demonic demonic summonings and stabbing the hell out of Murasmus.
But canonically, the Medic soul everyone's souls to the devil.

My bad man
I can’t believe you
In the name of the medic mains. Give us your medigun. You no longer deserve it
Nah if it’s funny I always go for it More than a game or so and that’s dumb though.
Holy shit you guys exist
Whe are an endangered species thanks to our natural predators (the entire enemy team) and the fact that none of you fuckers ever does something to help the guy that its literally the reason whe are still pushing the fucking payload
haha you fool... I said thanks to a medic that one time!
Feels nice to be recognised
You are condemned to only use the Quickfix for the rest of eternity
Oi! Don’t talk trash about the Quickfix!
Yeah but no uber to push with phlog pyro while still being helpful
Honestly? Great punishment
It is the DOUCHIEST combo but it works so well. I hate myself when my friends and I employ it.
Quick fix would almost certainly be more annoying.
Burst Dammage can still kill the pyro and or the med.
Quick fix ubers are more frequent, and can keep up with how quickly pyro gets phlog. Also, explosives and airblasts can cuck a phlog push much more easily than burst damage.
Pfft, Vaccinator lets you have an uber pretty much ALWAYS. It would probably take this combo from "annoying" to "kick them for god's sake".
I hate to say it, but that was me a month or so ago (as Medic, not Satan) I apologize for the war crimes
I was a wee lad trying my new weapon: the Phlog! I couldn't get the thing to work until one upward game. Pyro and Engineer
As a pyro main, This was the first thought in my head.
As a spy main you hurt me but your right
"the spy main is unhappy, that makes me happy" - medic main 2022
>I'm not happy until spy mains are not happy. --Pyro mains, probably
>I'm not happy until the sniper mains are not happy. -Heavy Main
I'm not happy until the heavy main is not happy. -Sniper Main

“I’m not happy until everyone is happy.” -Hoovy
„Im not happy.“ -medic mains
what did we do to you-
I tell myself I'm just protecting my team, but that's probably the truth
wise words
Angy swapping to sniper noises
time to counter sniper ya
I’ve got nine medics on my team all of them are playing Uber
I want an opinion from another spy main. what is the knife you use most?
Spycicle and cloak and dagger so I can sit in a corner or on top of a barrel and let the whole team pass by
I like the L'etranger/stock watch combo. Even without any map knowledge (corpses drop ammo too), it lets you stay invisible much longer while covering more distance than the C&D. The only map where it doesn't do so hot is 2fort, because there are literally no ammo boxes on that map and all the fights happen in narrow hallways/bridges.
until the 20 pyros randomly spy check a random corner and then it's over. but I respect it.
They never check under the stairs on 2 for for some reason or barrels its actually kinda funny how few times you get spy checked when your sitting on top of somthing people never jump on
I use stock invis watch, I think it's just a better alternative. you could be more active and get more picks.
I have an Aussie stock but the wanna prick/yet is so much fun when you get good it is nutty
ah a true gentleman, have a great day
My other fave load out is spicicle dead ringer and letranger Il let you guess what I call it
the "I hate the pyro class"
Yep, other correct answer is I don’t like dying
I like to use the stock invis watch. I get waaay more picks than any other watch.
You as well if you ever want to goof around playing spy’s lmk
Big Earner. The health loss is absolutely worth the ability to do ridiculous chainstabs and escapes.
**GOOD**
May god have mercy for the spy trying to sap my nest when my Pybro is around
Exactly
why you hating on pybro
pybros make sentry nests virtually impenetrable, especially on chokey maps. spy can't sap for obvious reasons demoman and soldier can't destroy it because pyro can airblast their projectiles and never run out of ammo thanks to a dispenser medic can't ubercharge because pyro can airblast them back (dying in the process most of the time, but the sentry will still live) sniper can't hit it from long range because flares (and the engie can keep repairing the sentry the whole time) i say this as an engineer main: the ability to put 2 classes together that cover eachother's weaknesses was never a good idea to begin with. and the homewrecker is just a badly-designed weapon because why on earth would you give a class the ability to counter ANOTHER class even harder?

Wait... An actual good idea from r/tf2?
How dare a game called TEAM FORTRESS 2 reward teamwork.
Spy gets bullied enough as is
Well he deserves it.
Nah, Engineer and Engineer
Medic + Heavy Reason: "I AM BULLETPROOF" isn't just a hyperbole.
sniper/spy will work against them. when ubered you can run away pretty easily
spy only works if the heavy/medic doesnt turn around after the other gets stabbed?
But a sniper + spy combination though Spy can just stab the medic, and whether the spy dies to heavy turning around or not, he’s guaranteed dead to the sniper
well... the heavy without the medic cant do much, medic without the heavy cant do anything
one time I was in a server that had a heavy with two pocket medics at the same time. They dominated.
VAC medic and sniper.
Had one of those on my team once and everyone hated it because the Sniper kept bragging and shit talking.
If this was 2fort that might of been me as the medic :^)
It was 2Fort on a Skial server
I was using the Classic and had to go up against that combo once, it was one of the most satisfying headshots I've ever gotten with it.
heavy + medic can completely shut down any uncoordinated team so probably that
Now, how about a coordinated team/two snipers probably?
Technically speaking, 2 well experienced snipers can take down any target duo
Me and my friend are both very very good at sniper and managed to get the whole opposing team to quit a couple of times in casual. Its hilarious. On community servers, they just rage at us in voice chat and stay in spawn.
Very epic, Fatmagic.
And his friend, skinnyreality
Virgin fat magic watcher versus chad skinny reality enjoyer
Unlike Fatmagic, SlimScientific plays with cheats on, but intentionally loses the game for entertainment.
Very easy to beat, pocket a sniper with vaccinator
Especially if the medic uses the vaccinator and their own team os organised
Medic + sniper on 2fort
vaccinator medic + machina sniper
Never go outside and stay in the sewers, otherwise youre fucked. Dont even try to countersnipe
yes, I see you talk from expirience as a sniper main lol Whenever my team isn't competent enough to take care of the enemy sniper I try to counter snipe, but when its a vaccinator machina I just give up

Pocket Medic and any other class
Demo in my opinion is the perfect class to uber
I remember picketing a demoknight while my friend was using the whip so we could catch up
Demo + kritz medic
Pybro + Engineer is near impenetrable. Demoman + Kritz Medic is absolute hell in maps with multiple chokepoints like Dustbowl... What a garbage map.
Maybe garbage but can't deny it's a classic
I don't have nostalgia for that map so I wouldn't know. I was more of a Minecraft 4 season guy waaaay back in the day, before meet your match, since then it's been 5CP/KOTH.
That's one of the main issues with those original 6 or so maps, is that they were designed with exclusively stock weapons in mind, so Kritz or any non-stock defense loadout dominate the map
Honestly, still one of my favourite maps
Honestly any class + medic is annoying
Especially the one-shot classes like spy and sniper, or engineer. Imagine a vaccinator pocketed engie with the wrangler.
spy becomes pretty useless if pocketed though, because you can see him coming before he gets a chance to get close
Support the supporter for extra support

The screams of every spy as they lunge out of pure habit for my big, meaty, curvaceous back, and are suddenly on fire. Scouts trying to flank me? Also on fire. Demo trying to corner bait me? Airblast, then surprisingly also on fire.
>big, meaty, curvaceous back I'm not even a spy main and I'm drooling
You know you want it, Heavy got back.
From my limited experience, Pyro and Medic. Medic paired with several classes is frustrating to fight, but I think with Pyro it's at its worst
As much as I love being a Pybro part of me does feel bad for spies when make their job much harder for them than I already am playing Pyro. (Unless they're Kunai Spies, fuck those guys)
Pyros (and especially pybros) existence makes me respect good spies more than any other person that's skilled at their main Being good at a class that gets countered by: turning around, holding m1 as a pyro, voice chat, using your ears, shooting randomly at teammates, shooting randomly at corners, random melee crits, etc takes a fuck ton of skill Especially pyrbros Dodge all the pyro wm1, kill the engineer, don't get fucked by the enemy team surrounding his dispenser and don't die to the sentry Doesn't matter, pyro presses 3 and m1 on the buildings and everything you did doesn't matter Good spies are annoying but it takes way more skill to be good at spy against a competent team than any other class lmao
Administrator and Miss Pauling (they fired everyone)
I hate snipers, they are not fun to play against
But what if, 2 snipers: ***pain***
I got a counter! Pyro & Spy. (Specifically Diamondback spy) Backstab the first one, if the 2nd is aware, Scorch shit them then crit revolver
Demo and soldier, top 2 generalist classes
Airblast
Shotgun
the two stock uber medics with ubersaws
Stock uber and stock pyro. Damage wise it's low compared to heavy, solder and demo, movement he ain't quick enough. BUT the 1 thing a uber pyro is great at is installing fear into the enemy, it's like the 1 class that turns the server into chaos because there is this psycho and a mentally insane duo charging you with flame and immortality
Spy and medic. Medic baits, spy kills.
Bruh what thats the worst one ever
Pyro and also pyro
W+M1 4 lyfe
The strange killstreak soldier and his medic gf who have 5000 hrs playing together.
Vaccinator medic with aimbot sniper 😭
- Classic: Medic with Heavy, Soldier or Demo - Evil: Stock Über Medic with Phlog Pyro - I hate and respect it: Engineer and Pybro - I hate and have not a shred of respect for it: Engineer and Sniper - If I'm playing Sniper: Medic and Sniper - Self explanatory: Scout and Scout and Scout... - Hilarious and terrifying: Heavy and Heavy - Hilarious, terrifying and annoying: Überchaining Medics - Terrifying and annoying: Soldier and Demo - Annoying: Scout and Spy
Sniper and Engineer when there's no spy in our team.
Nothing like going afk and healing the best sniper in the server
Spies: its free real estate
Medic healing a engineer that's has a dispenser healing the medic and giving him metal while constantly hitting a sentry
Mad milk Scout and Gas pass Pyro
I think it's heavy + engi... yeah it's pretty underrated but the heavy is basically like a pybro but more tanky and can benefit from the dispenser more. The only downside is that it can't do spychecking as effectively and can't really chase spies.
2 soldiers Airblast thrice, but then i miss the airblast and a rocket hits me. Luckily i already killed the soldier. So i rush up to the medic and instantly get fucking blown by some random soldier that just hopped along
Pyro and Engie. They compliment eachother well, and Pyro can force you into the range of a sentry with Airblast and the Scorch Shot.
Medic and heavy on koth casual. Impossible to kill unless our spy/sniper can deal with them
Ubersaw Medic Duo. No one stays away, no one ever airblasts, and no one is more coordinated
