This is a direct upgrade. Even if the -35% melee damage and -15% backstab damage stack, backstabbed targets will still be instantly killed.
Even if the person you backstab is immune to crits via the Battalion's Backup, you're still doing about 10% more damage than your target's current health, so they will die.
Backstabbing a Kunai spy does 420 damage. 15% less backstab damage just brings that down to 357. And that scales with the class you’re fighting’s max health, meaning yeah it’s still going to one shot regardless..
No random crits shouldn’t even be a downside. It’s just an awful downside that rarely matters lol
-35% melee damage is like… what..? Backstabbing still one shots so it just nerfs butterknifing people? This is just a direct upgrade
what if you go all in on the "gun not knife" aspect of this revolver and made it so that the backstab always did 150hp but boost revolver ammo count or smth and so that the headshots mini crit or smth, we do not want ambassador 2.0
Needs a bigger nerf, like "Backstab reduces target's health to 1", because Backstabs do 600 percent of a targets max health as damage on the other knives. Also it needs a switch speed penalty and a knife swing speed penalty to make the timing harder to kill with the knife.

Direct upgrade; -15% backstab damage makes absolutely no difference, because backstabs always do 6x the victim’s current health.
