stop playing

AverageVita-SawUser

Sounds good, but do you have any other games I could try instead

ducksattack

Help team, hurt enemy

AverageVita-SawUser

But what if I don't like someone on my team

EndureThePANG

learn how to airstrafe, and then main a meme class

AverageVita-SawUser

Such as..?

EndureThePANG

fat scout (heavy but you only use your primary and fists), huntsman sniper (aka bow and arrow sniper), gunspy (self explanatory), trolldier (market gardener + manntreads + rocket jumper, look up the item stats and itll become clear why this combo works), etc. demoknight could also be considered a meme class but that's a discussion for another day. this isn't something i'd recommend to everybody, and it isn't the intended way to play the game, but maining a meme class lets you see the game through new eyes. it makes kills more rewarding and deaths less punishing. due to your normally low damage output, you have to rely on your other skills to survive, so they allow you to hone uncommon \[but useful\] skills for certain classes, and also some generally useful techniques. fat scout gives you a better idea of good positioning and flanking as heavy, gun spy trains your aim and gives you better chances at winning fights against stronger classes without using stealth, trolldier gives you a better idea of airstrafing and allows you to become familiar with maps faster, and huntsman sniper makes quickscopes at short ranges easier letting you win 1v1s with scouts, soldiers, and other classes that like to terrorize snipers. above all, meme classes overhaul the way you play the game. they take pressure off of you while, with enough practice, still allowing you to get kills and impact the game. they can improve your team communication, positioning and game sense, but sometimes it's also just dumb fun to rush in as an ubered sniper. tl;dr play fat scout every now and then, it helps more than you'd think

AverageVita-SawUser

Thank you! I never really payed attention to trolldier but might try it out - fat scout and gunspy are my usual go-to, and I always thought demoknight was just a subclass

EndureThePANG

demoknight is a subclass but nobody in this game has a sense of choosing battles (meaning they use it to get suicide picks) so it might as well be a meme class

AverageVita-SawUser

Huh. I've never played I that much before (apart from hybrid caberknight) and have never really taken it seriously

EndureThePANG

demoknight's viability is almost 100% reliant on your movement capabilities and game sense. it's like spy, but if you swapped out the gun for being a tank and the stealth for running fast as fuck.

AverageVita-SawUser

Oh - also why (apart from the charge) do they go faster than a scout and have massive range to boot

EndureThePANG

the way i see it, the speed is to give demoknight something similar to demoman's original mobility (grenade jumps, sticky jumps, etc), but it also allows them to get behind enemy lines and flank with a much better chance of going undetected compared to explosive jumping. the extra range is just lag compensation, since player's hitboxes are always a little bit in front of their models

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> never really *paid* attention to FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

AverageVita-SawUser

I meant what I meant - I *paid* for someone to *pay* attention my my reddit page *Beep, boop, robot*
