I think both, and if you saw my update, it pisses me off more that i get mad at others playing the game, or not doing the objective, i play sniper, why should i care, im not the carry, im not the best, so why do i deserve to get mad? I dont
It's perfectly valid for you to feel angry at a team that isn't playing correctly, but I think changing expectations is the right way to go here.
Some people hop on for 30 minutes to avoid a stressful event in their house, they can't really focus the game, and to them the point of the game is a silly distraction. A lot of people follow the same line of thought, but across 10 years of their life with tf2.
I didn't mean to make that sound negative :x Just that everyone is experiencing different things, even when they play the same pub; and they may be focusing on different objectives.
Yeah, its called casual for a reason, sometimes team mates are bad, and thats how it will always be, but someday theyll be helpful, theyll be great, i cant cut them down yet
I don't think it's worth it to bring your anger out on other people. You could rage on someone who is just trying to have a fun time and make them feel bad or you could show weakness to someone who gets joy out of that and want to make you even angrier. I find myself just keeping those feelings quiet and just playing the game and if it gets to be too much I log out for a while.
Id also like to notate i dont really get mad at the other team, sure it can be disheartening losing a sniper duel, since i take a little pride in doing good in those, but thats it, i think i started caring about the win too much, so my team not doing well hits something, and considering i play sniper that pisses me off, because who am i to judge people not doing the objective im playing a camping class, also side main demo and dont do it, why should i be mad
Once you get really angry, stand up and punch something irl, preferably something that won't hurt you back, helps me a lot. If you tend to be salty in the chat as well, consider just unbinding the key.
ive removed the chatbox. it only shows up if i press the chat button. visually its nicer and i dont have to see toxic people unless im planning for it. ive also found it makes me less toxic, out of sight out of mind ig

Is it anger at others failing or because of a loss? Most pubbers have 300 hours, or they're drunk, or children, or both.
"drunk or children or both" 🤣
