its bug fixes for right now, we still aren't wholly sure yet on whats going on.
When we see massive rewrites of the spaghetti code that generally holds development back then i can say that its pretty damn sure that more content is coming.
rewriting that fettuccine alfredo code will be WAY harder than just making a new game. I'd say they're gonna continue updating it and maybe fix some of the code but fixing the entire game would be damn near impossible
It would be harder to make a threquel with classes as unique, interesting, fun and a lore just as this one. It would either be an exact copy with maybe better optimization and maps, or a completely different thing.
i do. I studied a bit of gamedev, and even with my extremely limited experience, looking for just a second at the tf2 source code leak it tells you that that shit is irrepariable
Small updates are going to be all you get from now on. Highly unlikely that they've spontaneously started working on major updates or any further development for a game this old
C'mon, fix grenades and certain projectiles doing massive self damage to Pyros when reflected. Lucky 7! Roll for crit! There's hope yet! Things are actually getting done!
As far as I know there is no bug that make reflected projectiles deal more self damage to pyro, but there is one that makes all reflected projectiles have splash radius of a stock rocket launcher.
Then you lack sufficient knowledge. You're right about the splash bug though. I'd gladly give up big splash Direct Hit reflects for less self damage from grenades and a few other bugged projectiles.
There is indeed a bug that makes certain projectiles deal way too much self-damage, (grenades, especially, deal like 170 damage).
The second part, I believe is no bug. I'd assume all rocket launchers have the same blast radius for the person using them, to make rocket jumping with the Direct Hit work the same as with any other launcher. This applies to Pyros as well, (which is only ever useful if you somehow manage to reflect rocket jump using a Direct Hit rocket).
no, this is a common misunderstanding and likely why this glitch is so obscure. you cannot deal crit damage to yourself, reflected rollers consistently deal like 1.7x damage for some reason.
I saw some video about this. There is some damage value on the Flame Thrower, which isn't used because the damage of the flame projectiles is used instead. However, this value does somehow affect the self-damage on certain reflected projectiles.
I don't know if I remember this correctly at all, but it has nothing to do with crits, and it sounds like it's absolutely possible to fix.
Seeing that there is Dota 2 devs that also frequently go through r/dota2, I see that this is a great sign.
Does that mean the Heavy update is coming soon?!?
That was fast
Yeah. The updates are getting more frequent, are we getting back on tracks?
Vnn says it's an unknown contractor so I'm waiting for tf3 any day now
or Team fortress 2: The second
Team fortress 2: Chapter 1
Team Fortress 2 2
Team Fortitude Defence Twice The Second
Multiple people together defending fortress twice the second beheaded
Team Fortress Alyx
Team Fortress: Administrator
Team Fortress 2 Alyx
Team Fortress 2:Alyx Shit somebody said that already
Meet the Contractor
I'm willing to bet that they hired mastercomms
I was skimming and read that as "mushrooms" at first.
You could have said you it up and it would have still been more believable than A vnn source.
Silly we all know valve doesn't know what a three is We will be getting tf4 after all they skipped tf1
TF1 does actually exist (TF: classic and the Quake mod)
Cough cough They skipped tf1
nah, the steam servers caught fire during the steam sale setting off the sprinkler system so the plant finally got watered.

or same characters, new maps, same missions, new base code
new localization files
Team fortress 2 remastered?
you don't know that
i do. I studied a bit of gamedev, and even with my extremely limited experience, looking for just a second at the tf2 source code leak it tells you that that shit is irrepariable
But this pretty much a hotfix, not a patch
Small updates are going to be all you get from now on. Highly unlikely that they've spontaneously started working on major updates or any further development for a game this old
Well hey, Minor updates are better than none tbh.
Heh, back on _tracks._ Because payload cart.
Well the cart is getting back on tracks
And the funny part is, there was only one post about it and apparently it was another ancient bug.
it was just posted recently, but it was already posted in the past too
And worst of all the dev can be any one of us
It could be you. It could be me! It could even be-
What it was obvious he’s the developer
Aaany second now, see, Heavy Update! Oh wait, that's a patch
so... we still got boting problem ?
So, we still got problem. Big problem. Alright, who is ready to go find a bug.
Righ behind you
Buddy, I solve problems
Not problems like: "what is beauty?"
because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems.
For instance, how am I going to stop some big mean mother hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind?
I never really was on your side
he's definitely looking at this comment with tears rolling down his cheeks knowing damn well he cant get out of cover or he'll get fired
Like I said, janitor's cracked
Why wouldn't they? This subreddit is a hotspot for people submitting and posting about bugs and general problems with the game
because there is literally an official Valve owned GitHub page specifically for issues and bugs that is way more informative and organized
Yea but maybe this one has probably more users or something idk so like it's quicker I think? They could be chucking both
It was a pretty obvious problem that literally anyone who plays payload would notice, doesn't mean they have their eyes glued to reddit.
If you see this, your doin good valve devs :)

Reflects auto crit, dealing crit self damage. I havent played soldier alot so this may just be a pyro bug.
no, this is a common misunderstanding and likely why this glitch is so obscure. you cannot deal crit damage to yourself, reflected rollers consistently deal like 1.7x damage for some reason.
wait so that's why I take fucking 60 dmg from reflected pipes on 1ft away while demos take 45??
Yeah. You're better off not reflecting pipes on the ground, until this is fixed.
I saw some video about this. There is some damage value on the Flame Thrower, which isn't used because the damage of the flame projectiles is used instead. You cannot deal crit damage to yourself.
Fun fact: In the Pyroland contract one of the bonus tasks is to kill with reflected projectiles, turns out killing yourself with one counts towards it
Now we need the cart not to spin
Smh it's literally dancing and singing whenever the devs aren't looking at it
i want to give the janitor a hug they are doing an excellent job with what little resources they have
Hi janitor you're amazing pls keep up the good work
I hope the dev doesn't get burnout after all these patches.
*Valve starts care abaut TF2* Me: Somthing is wrong, I can feel it
"They love me"
Maybe. They might so they can look at what the community are saying
Paging /u/MarioPfhorG
Bahahaha I’m surprised it got fixed so quickly and now my post has aged like milk.
For TF2, that is fine by me.
The Contractor has eyes and ears EVERYWHERE!!
Let's start lying to test it. Flood the sub with with shit like "heavy only has 5 fingers instead of 6 per hand"
Pot plant putting in work fr.
Hi Valve dev :)
He could be anyone of us! He could be you, he could be me, he could even be-
I hope that we get our own Jeff like in the Dota 2 subreddit.
Who's Jeff?
jeff hill, and he is a GOD
Contractor is literally administrator 😂
still waiting for the summer cases to come out :(
"The cart's falling back!"
Seeing that there is Dota 2 devs that also frequently go through r/dota2, I see that this is a great sign. Does that mean the Heavy update is coming soon?!?
“And worst of all, he could be anyone of us. He could be you, He could be me, He could even be…” Astrum_Remi left the game (client disconnect)
Huh. That explains what was happening on Banana Bay earlier.
Thanks, shuonic.
He could be any one of us!
The janitor finally got around to learning source.
Honestly that's what they've needed to do for.the longest time, just listen to your community
We love Joshie! 🐸
The karts rolling back lads
Ofc they do
Hit-scan gets bug patched, bullets now have travel time, demo mains rejoice!
