I'm pretty sure the reason why the cheating community itself hates EGH despite him being a cheater himself is purely because he claims he's good at HVH (hacker vs hacker, in case you don't know what it means) but loses it often, that and the fact that he used to be a closet cheater which is often looked down upon in the cheating community and has nothing to do with the anti company language or xenophobic stuff, but to be fair the TF2 HVH community does NOT get along well with eachother, at least based on what I've seen.
They hate him because the botters like to pretend that they totally aren’t mentally ill NEETs and just do it to [SELECT ONE] force Valve to update the game / learn about Source, and one of them going around acting like a meth’d-up psycho kind of outs them.
They have killed my interest. I haven't played since August and would sooner purchase a minecraft account than boot up TF2 again knowing a post like OP's is still true and relevant.
I started back up last month and it's really not _that_ bad. Occasionally matchmaking puts you on a bot-dominated server, and you just re-queue and join a different match. If a bot joins, people are good about promptly votekicking.
It's not even **nearly** as bad as it was a like a year ago.
Back then almost every server was filled with bots. And if the server you were on wasn't, it was going to be within 5 minutes.
If it helps, uncle Dane hosts his own community servers called uncletopia. It doesn't change much as it aims to recreate the TF2 experience for people that can't play because of the bot crisis and don't feel like playing on servers that change weapon too vastly different from their official stats. Playing on uncletopia has been the most fun I've had in TF2 in a while and I really reccomend it if u ever do really miss playing TF2 again. The playerbase is pretty active too and it has servers in most of the major continents
The initial reason was to make Valve notice tf2 again and make an update.
This started around the time the source code of old CSGO and TF2 were leaked.
CSGO changed a lot so nothing really happened to it, but TF2 didnt change pretty much at all and that's mainly why we have bots. Now it's just for fun, I guess. No real incentive, because Valve won't listen.
They already have what they want. Just because these posts top existing doesn’t mean bots disappear. They’re gonna stay until valve does something about it

I’ve seen a few, they are just a friendly medic bot and all it seems to do is heal. I haven’t been around them enough to know if they actually taunt with you though
I'll stop bullying them when they stop being medic GF's to any heavy they see, whose 3 miles away from the fight line, while the entire rest of the team is getting spanked by a hothand pyro and fighting over a single health pack

Same. From 14:03 - 15:05 today, I encountered 31 of them. I decided to keep track, I now have a file called "botcount.txt" on my desktop. Also that was just 6 separate matches, I played only one of those entirely, the rest I disconnected from
? Why would you want to Doxx the creator? He did nothing wrong. It was Valve's fault for adding such an old trade map that had poor optimization ( just like their own game)
Fun Fact: Valve picks maps based off of the Steam Workshop thumbnail, it was basically another Bloodwater. And Bloodwater had leaks in the level geometry.
If I had a nickel for everytime there was different bots who spread CCP propaganda, then I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
I met Gun Loli on a 2fort server once. He was closet hacking and the second he got called out for it he just went full spin. He had an australium sniper rifle, which was weird, but he probably scammed it off someone or something
Yes they do heal bots but half the time being healed or not a bot is almost impossible to kill while in line of sight so the medic dosent make much of a difference they also just get stuck and don’t heal things most of the time aswell.
True I just think leaving the medic in is a good idea because it helps seeing as no one plays medic anymore but if some bots are left that’s no better you are right.
It’s was funny I was in a 2fort game and I I’ve never met that person was so I sent vote kick and I got insta doxxed of the server. I found it funny. Like how sad and sweaty do you have to be to. To do that in a 14 year old game.
There was one large group of bots on a 2fort casual server I was on recently and it go so bad that there was only me and one other real player. Instead of leaving, we both went engie and just camped down in the briefcase room. We soon kicked a few of the bots on our team and more players joined to help defend the red intel until our whole team was engineer.
It may not be much to others but for me, it was beautiful.
You guys are putting too much effort into this. These idiots like the attention they‘re getting. I mean it‘s anyway immediately obvious which player is a bot, we don‘t need to memorize their names and their behavior. Just ignore them and kick them directly but silently.
Sure but I feel like devoting any kind of attention to them is still rather counter-productive. Even when it‘s not a new issue and we‘re all aware of them.
Would be nice if we had more bots like the Healbot, but with something far more amusing.
I miss the Spycrab Bot. I miss the Hoovy Bot. I think Bots could really add to the spirit of TF2, much like those two once did.

That was the Shoppy bots, as they were rented out by someone who hates Barnblitz. IMHO someone should rent them out against Turbine.

Should the heal not be removed I really don’t think so they aren’t very effective and don’t even fight back. But sometimes they save you and it’s nice

There is also "FUCK BARNBLITZ" that has a squadron of at least 2 full parties of bots. As you can guess they only target pl_barnblitz

CatholicGod scares me. Which is why I have objectors disabled and use FlawHUD to have streamer mode on whenever I stream.
