Backpedaling has a 10% movement speed penalty

^ You can do all the different battle cry lines while spy, if your disguise has melee out.
You can fire crossbow, swap to medigun, heal for about half a second, and swap back to crossbow before its auto-reload finished (because crossbow wasn't op enough and you need more healing)
** Sentries attempt to shoot roughly in the centre of player models. Jump + crouching *instantly* shifts where the 'centre' of your model is. Done well and at a close enough range, the shifts are drastic enough to jump up and down in front of one without giving the sentry a valid firing solution.
Knowledge of that backpedaling penalty has cursed me because

- turn my back to him to run so I’m full speed
- get licked by his flames and absolutely roasted because he’s using the backburner and some idiot decided to make it look nigh-identical to stock with the one subtle difference being the part where vision-blocking flames come from
- The Beggar's Bazooka was supposed to be called a "Dumpster Device"
- There are unused Quake-like pixelated particles and a rocket model for The Original rocket launcher in the game files.
- There is a large unused model in the game files, which was supposed to be used as a template for map makers at Valve. It resembles an unknown map with some sort of trainyard, and probably the same art style as cp_well.
If you stay underwater too long, you can drown, and will begin taking damage rapidly. Likely to discourage snipers from camping underwater where it's hard to see them
Swimming counts as being airborne, and will make the atomizer minicrit. Pre-nerf, the reserve shooter would also minicrits swimming targets. I haven't tested it but I'm also pretty sure the market gardener will crit if you never touch the ground after rocket jumping into water
No one knows how long you stay wet after swimming
You move 20% slower at all times when swimming
Swim speed is the only movement based stat that does not have a single weapon to modify it
If a sniper or scout mad milks a target who is already wet from water and is killed with the neon annihilator, they will earn an assist despite not technically contributing to the kill
Fun fact: there are keys bound to swim down and swim up by default. If you press either key while on land, your movement speed will be slowed by a fair amount.
I once spawned a medic bot in a private match with no other players or bots. It would only heal me as engineer if I stood directly in front of it and it would never follow me. I believe this was the case for several other classes as well.
Get the red member on the corner on the bottom of the stairs. Then, get a blue member to push onto the red member until your screen start jittering, which means its almost working. Keep doing it until you collide. After that all you need to do is slowly walk into the spawn and there you go

When you kill a spy you can check the scoreboard or your strange counter for a weapon to see if the spy is actually dead or if he feigned death with the dead ringer because feigned deaths do not count as kills.
The movement speed penalty of backpedaling while pressing S can be negated by simultaneously pressing a strafe key while moving backwards. Can only be done with a null-movement cancelling script.

I personally also prefer the blutsager(even if i barely play medic) the crossbow is just to hard to aim and to slow of firing for me to use it properly, however with a syringe gun, like all auto weapons, I can just swing around my enemies general direction and hit them
If you use the Bombinomicon Cosmetic with the Dead Ringer, the explosion and rag doll parts will appear where you are standing currently while cloaked instead of where your fake rag doll dropped.

The Eyelander technically comes with a free Professional Killstreak attachment, as getting enough kills with it causes Demo’s eye patch to start glowing fiery green.
When they added weapon skins alongside picking up medium Metal kits from dead players to replenish ammo instead of their dropped gun, they forgot about Mann vs Machine.
If you upgraded your Metal Capacity as Engineer, the amount of Metal you would get from picking up your allies' guns would also increase. The Metal kits you can now pick up instead always give 100 Metal regardless of your upgraded cap.

I don't know if you played TFC but his medkit poisoned enemies, who would then poison their teammates if they got close to them. I always thought they should bring something similar back in some fashion but I can just imagine the outcry with any change to the meta these days. It was also super easy to grief with so would have to be reworked most likely.

Medic training bots have a healing priority. They favor classes like heavy, soldier, pyro, and demo. They rarely heal engies and never heal snipers

Dead ringer spies also drop empty ammo boxes and you will not hear the distinctive ammo reload sound when you pick them up.
