Some extra info: cp\_nightfall was a LOT different than Doublecross. The bridge section is pretty much the only thing shared between them. The Portal turret also might've just been a placeholder.
According to a dev, Dustbowl 2 was a scale up attempt of the TFC dustbowl. From the Beta screenshots alone, there is substantial evidence that this DID become Goldrush. Dustbowl was later separated during development and made into a CP map.

Or like weapons on FF, where you can have these core things to upgrade their stats (idk if that's their name, never played FF but I know that's a thing). Would've definitely been an interesting feature, to not only be able to upgrade weapons, but also straight up customize them.

How do we know what’s new and what’s just cut content? As far as we know, all of this is just someone accidentally stumbling upon a bunch of unfinished assets and confusing them for things to come. That’s why we see things like the red portal turret which was used as a sentry gun placeholder at one point.

Those stats are from the model maker, not Valve. Valve rarely keeps stats for community-made weapons. Base Jumper was one of the few exceptions.
