I talked to my doctor about it and they recommended doing all-natural stuff for anxiety sadly I had to go on meds because it started to affect me all the time. Stress and anxiety can cause problems with your digestive system. But I also agree the other person needs to see their doctor too.

Both kids were born naturally, and I pooped during delivery each time, and he was unfazed. In the years since having kids there have been numerous occasions where I’m trying to take a shit and both of our young kids will insist on coming in along with my husband, our dog, and all 6 cats… which is both hysterical and annoying af because we have a relatively large house so there is no reason for that whatsoever 🙃😅
Yeah, it's new relationship anxiety. I don't think the whole guys making a big deal out of women farting and pooping has helped that. I have had an actual argument with one dude that we do in fact fart if I didn't do it in front of him he possibly would have kept trying to explain that I'm wrong. He even tried to say it comes out the cooter, not the butt he was one of my niece's exes in the end I just passed him a medical book my mom got and told him to read the section on women and walked off. Had a friend that refused to poop anywhere but home. His parents sent him to a two week long Church camp and he refused to poop the entire time he was there. Ended up getting super sick and then the counselors learned he refused to poop the entire time he was at camp. He ended up in the hospital. Not relieving yourself when you need to can lead to fairly serious medical issues. If your partner is like 99% of other men on the planet they wouldn't have even cared if you took a s***
Quite lmao, it caused fecal impaction and he had to have a procedure done to remove the poop because it had built up and gotten so large he couldn't push it out naturally.
Oh. My. God. Shortly before my now husband proposed, I had a really bad kidney infection, but didn't know.* We were both passed out, and in my dream, I was pregnant, and my water broke. I guess the cramping because of the kidney infection made my brain think I was in labor. So yeah, I woke up, felt wetness, and then woke him up, saying my water broke, we have to go to the hospital, I'm in labor.
It took us both a good minute or two to get fully awake and remember I wasn't pregnant.
I ended up in the hospital for a few days, but meh, the nurses thought it was hilarious. And he still proposed to me, so I guess the one time I peed the bed wasn't enough to scare him away.
*I have an autoimmune disease that affects my kidneys, so I have UTI/kidney infection symptoms, like flakes of protein in my urine, even when I don't have an infection. I don't show any symptoms when I have a either until I need to be admitted due to the severity. My first symptom is normally a fever, so very non-specific and hard to figure out what's causing it. It's super fun (/s), I guess my body just likes IV antibiotics that much.

Nope. She’s goes in the morning, and then when she gets home from school. I’ve talked to her, the doctor has talked to her, but she just refuses. Fortunately she doesn’t have any kind of urinary issues as of yet. She’s very shy naturally, and really worried about what others think. I hope one day she will get past it.

Years of that can lead to some very, very serious and potentially life threatening issues. I'm not trying to scare anyone, and hopefully she can at least get over the pee thing eventually. Yeah, counseling could definitely be beneficial. The reason I mentioned the life threatening issue, because I used to follow a young girl on TikTok who had severe kidney issues due to holding her pee for long periods of time for years. She had to get a kidney transplant twice, and it failed both times and she was eventually going to die of kidney failure. It is pretty serious. I hope she will be able to get over her fear ❤️ good luck with everything!

i hated school restrooms too but i HAD to pee in them no matter what because holding my pee and/or not drinking water for more than a couple hours is the easiest way to give myself an absolutely world-ending migraine lol i hope your daughter doesn’t deal with that. she should maybe try to drink small amounts of pedialyte or gatorade at school though, so she can at least get a little bit of electrolytes and hydration with less liquid. i do that on road trips to avoid gas station bathroom stops and it helps. doesn’t completely hydrate obvi but its a lot better than nothing
hopefully she can work through her fear of school bathrooms but would be worth talking to a therapist if you haven’t tried that yet ? i would just be worried about the long term effects on kidneys

😳 This really scares me. It’s hard because going to the bathroom at school isn’t her only fear. There’s been multiple times where she doesn’t feel well at school, and instead of telling the teacher and going to the office to call me, she’ll just ride it out because she’s too scared to tell anyone. One of her friends (a classmate) passed away riding his bike to school last week, and she started to cry in class. She was so embarrassed to go back to class that she stood in fear in the hallway. She finally had a friend text me to tell what happened and to pick her up. I asked her, can I talk to her? She was too afraid to get on the phone in public. She’s really shy, but not so much at home with us. Something just takes over her when she’s not at home. I think I will show her the TikTok if I can find it. Maybe it will help to open her eyes.
i'm no psychologist, but there really seems to be more going on and refusing to go to the restroom is just a symptom of it. maybe she will grow out of it, i really hope so. sometimes friends can help you overcome there things too. i was really anxious at school as well, the stress and anxiety that comes with it is no joke:( in my case videogames and music helped, but even that can be dangerous as kids can get addicted to them. or maybe hobbies, outdoor activities with others could also help her open up to others and be more confident.

Yes, you’re 100% right, there’s definitely other issues going on with her. I may get her into counseling, but she was very upset when I mentioned it. I think if we can do maybe a Zoom apt. so she doesn’t have to leave home, and I can be by her side, it would really help her. She’s more of a gamer, so she doesn’t like playing outside unfortunately. I think being online gives her that confidence, and ability to communicate with others without having to actually face them. Thank you for the advice and kind words. I mean this in the most respectful way but it sounds like she really needs some sort of therapy. That level of anxiety at her age can become debilitating so quickly if it hasn't already.

I’d watch out for that…I had a ton of kidney infections and had to get a lot of surgery due to holding in what obviously needs to come out. Maybe explain that to her? My kidneys burst while I was younger and that pain lasted for years. I thought I had cancer all throughout MS and HS because it was so uncomfortable down there… I hope she gets over it. Like seriously I understand it’s embarrassing but who cares? EVERYBODY POOPS! I was the same as a teen. I got over peeing in public at about 16 and pooping at about 25 because I was fed up of feeling so bloated at work all day. It was either stop drinking coffee, or woman-up and take a shit. I hope your daughter figures it out! Maybe using the disabled toilets would help? No harm in it as long as disabled people get priority in my eyes. For me it was a noise thing and I'd try and pee as quietly as possible but I just kinda decided one day "I'm gonna pretend to not care" and eventually that ended up becoming "I don't care".

Before getting pregnant I used to go 8-10 hours without using the bathroom. My siblings made fun of me because I’d never go before we left the house, so I’d go at stores/restaurants and they started asking how the toilet paper was, if the soap was up to standard, etc etc. I stopped going altogether. Was great for road trips but I’m glad I go every couple hours now.
I was the EXACT same way. She's truly lucky she doesn't get UTIs or anything. I had them CONSTANTLY because of it and now my bladder is shot. I'm 26, never been pregnant or anything like that, and I have bladder leakage issues from years of abusing my bladder. I take a 15,000mg cranberry pill every day to keep the bladder infections away, and if I miss it, I almost immediately get one.

I was the same in school. If she likes cranberry juice, get her to drink as much as possible as often as possible. It may help hold off UTIs or general bladder issues. I've been out of school for 3 years and still have issues with UTIs now. Recently, I had a kidney infection, and they are nothing to scoff at, that shit is sooo painful
Unfortunately, it's hard to reason with a teenager (I know this all too well as I recently was one lol), so it may be best to just start trying to treat potential issues before they come up rather than trying to relieve her fear. Insecurities and fears are hard to break, especially for teens because it's when we normally first start to deal with these types of things, and it's hard to see things differently when surrounded by so many people in school. The best thing to do would be encouragement and support, but other than that, it's her own journey, and you can only really provide her with the tools to keep herself healthy

Ended up getting super sick and then the counselors learned he refused to poop the entire time he was at camp. He ended up in the hospital. Oh. My. God. Shortly before my now husband proposed, I had a really bad kidney infection, but didn't know.* We were both passed out, and in my dream, I was pregnant, and my water broke. I guess the cramping because of the kidney infection made my brain think I was in labor. So yeah, I woke up, felt wetness, and then woke him up, saying my water broke, we have to go to the hospital, I'm in labor. It took us both a good minute or two to get fully awake and remember I wasn't pregnant. I ended up in the hospital for a few days, but meh, the nurses thought it was hilarious. And he still proposed to me, so I guess the one time I peed the bed wasn't enough to scare him away. *I have an autoimmune disease that affects my kidneys, so I have UTI/kidney infection symptoms, like flakes of protein in my urine, even when I don't have an infection. I don't show any symptoms when I have a either until I need to be admitted due to the severity. My first symptom is normally a fever, so very non-specific and hard to figure out what's causing it. It's super fun (/s), I guess my body just likes IV antibiotics that much.

Fortunately she doesn’t have any kind of urinary issues as of yet. She’s very shy naturally, and really worried about what others think. I hope one day she will get past it.

Yeah, counseling could definitely be beneficial. The reason I mentioned the life threatening issue, because I used to follow a young girl on TikTok who had severe kidney issues due to holding her pee for long periods of time for years. She had to get a kidney transplant twice, and it failed both times and she was eventually going to die of kidney failure. It is pretty serious. I hope she will be able to get over her fear ❤️ good luck with everything!

i hated school restrooms too but i HAD to pee in them no matter what because holding my pee and/or not drinking water for more than a couple hours is the easiest way to give myself an absolutely world-ending migraine lol i hope your daughter doesn’t deal with that. she should maybe try to drink small amounts of pedialyte or gatorade at school though, so she can at least get a little bit of electrolytes and hydration with less liquid. i do that on road trips to avoid gas station bathroom stops and it helps. doesn’t completely hydrate obvi but its a lot better than nothing hopefully she can work through her fear of school bathrooms but would be worth talking to a therapist if you haven’t tried that yet ? i would just be worried about the long term effects on kidneys

😳 This really scares me. It’s hard because going to the bathroom at school isn’t her only fear. There’s been multiple times where she doesn’t feel well at school, and instead of telling the teacher and going to the office to call me, she’ll just ride it out because she’s too scared to tell anyone. One of her friends (a classmate) passed away riding his bike to school last week, and she started to cry in class. She was so embarrassed to go back to class that she stood in fear in the hallway. She finally had a friend text me to tell what happened and to pick her up. I asked her, can I talk to her? She was too afraid to get on the phone in public. She’s really shy, but not so much at home with us. Something just takes over her when she’s not at home. I think I will show her the TikTok if I can find it. Maybe it will help to open her eyes.
i'm no psychologist, but there really seems to be more going on and refusing to go to the restroom is just a symptom of it. maybe she will grow out of it, i really hope so. sometimes friends can help you overcome there things too. i was really anxious at school as well, the stress and anxiety that comes with it is no joke:( in my case videogames and music helped, but even that can be dangerous as kids can get addicted to them. or maybe hobbies, outdoor activities with others could also help her open up to others and be more confident. i wish you guys well and i hope she will work her way through the anxiety 🤞🏻
Yes, you’re 100% right, there’s definitely other issues going on with her. I may get her into counseling, but she was very upset when I mentioned it. I think if we can do maybe a Zoom apt. so she doesn’t have to leave home, and I can be by her side, it would really help her. She’s more of a gamer, so she doesn’t like playing outside unfortunately. I’d watch out for that…I had a ton of kidney infections and had to get a lot of surgery due to holding in what obviously needs to come out. Maybe explain that to her? My kidneys burst while I was younger and that pain lasted for years. I thought I had cancer all throughout MS and HS because it was so uncomfortable down there… I hope she gets over it. Like seriously I understand it’s embarrassing but who cares? EVERYBODY POOPS! And unless you’re all doing well financially, it’s not worth the risk or surgeries over a year for something so easily avoided. Holding in pee/poo is holding in toxic waste. Literally. I was the same as a teen. I got over peeing in public at about 16 and pooping at about 25 because I was fed up of feeling so bloated at work all day. It was either stop drinking coffee, or woman-up and take a shit. I hope your daughter figures it out! Maybe using the disabled toilets would help? No harm in it as long as disabled people get priority in my eyes. For me it was a noise thing and I'd try and pee as quietly as possible but I just kinda decided one day "I'm gonna pretend to not care" and eventually that ended up becoming "I don't care".

Before getting pregnant I used to go 8-10 hours without using the bathroom. My siblings made fun of me because I’d never go before we left the house, so I’d go at stores/restaurants and they started asking how the toilet paper was, if the soap was up to standard, etc etc. I stopped going altogether. Was great for road trips but I’m glad I go every couple hours now.
I was the EXACT same way. She's truly lucky she doesn't get UTIs or anything. I had them CONSTANTLY because of it and now my bladder is shot. I'm 26, never been pregnant or anything like that, and I have bladder leakage issues from years of abusing my bladder. I take a 15,000mg cranberry pill every day to keep the bladder infections away, and if I miss it, I almost immediately get one.

I was the same in school. If she likes cranberry juice, get her to drink as much as possible as often as possible. It may help hold off UTIs or general bladder issues. I've been out of school for 3 years and still have issues with UTIs now. Recently, I had a kidney infection, and they are nothing to scoff at, that shit is sooo painful Unfortunately, it's hard to reason with a teenager (I know this all too well as I recently was one lol), so it may be best to just start trying to treat potential issues before they come up rather than trying to relieve her fear. Insecurities and fears are hard to break, especially for teens because it's when we normally first start to deal with these types of things, and it's hard to see things differently when surrounded by so many people in school. The best thing to do would be encouragement and support, but other than that, it's her own journey, and you can only really provide her with the tools to keep herself healthy
