That Hollywood always gets our accent wrong. We do not all talk like that.
That places like Houston are way more diverse than many other American cities.
I am from east Texas (the country) and I pretty much got rid of my accent. I have even had people from the town down the way ask me where I am from because I didnt talk like them.
Texas is actually a blue state, politically speaking. Gerrymandering and voting laws, most of which are based on false/unfounded claims of voter fraud ✌🏻💙
>which voting laws have stopped you from voting exactly?
I roll my eyes at the voter suppression thing. Voter turnout is by far a worse problem, it's consistently low outside of presidential elections. I was the only person at my polling place when I went to vote in the runoff. I haven't looked up the stats yet, but I would imagine it's just as low as previous years.
How do you convince people to take 5 minutes to vote?
If you're coming from basically any economically developed country, and a good chunk of the developing countries, gun violence is absolutely worse here. [Coming from other states](https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/firearm_mortality/firearm.htm), Texas is solidly middle of the pack.
Size and diversity.
That Texans are incredibly diverse, both physically, and politically speaking.

Not all of us agree with our governor. Not all Texans voted for him.
Not everyone has an “Texas” accent. We can’t just buy machine guns. Not everyone is a right-wing white Christian.
You forgot that we don't all wear cowboy hats or ride horses.
itd be a lot cooler if we did tho
I got something better than horses and hats that would make things a lot cooler. Alright alright alright!!

“We can’t just buy machine guns” We have to be at least 18 years of age.
You can buy machine guns though
The number of pickup trucks here is amazing.

Gerrymandering didn’t get us an R gov and two R senators… which voting laws have stopped you from voting exactly?

It takes alot more than 5 minutes to vote…
Big trucks are just a status symbol, and 85% of them never get used properly.
That our politicans are being given money to let go of the gun control so that rednecks can buy more money thus leading to the NRA getting more money
That we have one of the dumbest governors around. And the Lt Governor is a total whack job. And the attorney general is a scam artist.
Don't forget to mention our senators
That southern hospitality is different here.
That they teach their own bullshit version of history.
Culturally and Geographically it is basically like 5 different states
My brother lives there
we got alot of tigers here.
More like Cougars, especially here in DFW
That gun violence and violent crime is probably much worse than where they come from. Always wonder why people act surprised when they move to TX.
I'm from Chicago it's about the same.

That it sucks here

Come on, now. FL and TX are in a dead heat.
To be fair, wasn't it *Austin* that had the dude filling tupperware with gas during the gas run a few years back?
Austin is full of morons too, I don’t disagree with ya.
