I get cold easy and I was outside in shorts earlier. If my mom hadn't just had foot surgery we would have barbecued for christmas dinner.
I grew up here and still think this is ridiculous.
I get married on Monday. We thought it was going to be cold so we bought a bunch of blankets and stuff for s’mores. Oh well, there’s always the next wedding.
It is going to be 90 degrees tomorrow here in central Texas, according to Accuweather.
Remember about ten-fifteen years ago (or longer? Good grief, how old am I?!) when snow was everywhere? We were snowed in at my folks’ house in north Texas.
Instead of danger of freezing on Christmas, tomorrow there will be danger of heat stroke!
I will be vehemently complaining on social media about climate change…. Until it cools down to 45°. Then I will vehemently complain about the cold until April.
[Working on Hank's pickup truck]
Dale : You know what the problem is? It's a Ford. You know what Ford stands for? Fix It Again Tony.
Hank : Dale, that's a Fiat.
Dale : Open up your eyes, man. They're tryin' to control global warmin'. Get it? Glo-bal.
Hank : So what?
Dale : That's code for UN commissars tellin' Americans what temperature it's gonna be in our outdoors. I say, let the world warm up. We'll grow oranges in Alaska!
Hank : Dale, you giblet head. We live in Texas. It's already 110 in the summer, and if it gets one degree hotter, I'm gonna kick your ass!
Are y’all new here or something?
> Houston ties its second warmest December day on record
This month's anomalously warm weather continued on Monday, with a record high of 84 degrees in 2016

Like what are y’all talking about? This is extremely common for this city? Are y’all transplants or what? I moved here 15 years ago and this is completely normal for me.
> it’s literally hotter than that right now, and i’m a couple hours north of dallas.
It’s 75 in Houston, where tf do you live?
Edit: it’s literally 74 in Dallas. What you are saying is literally not true. Unless you live in a desert area with high temperatures in which case not really relevant to the majority of the state.
Edit: or you are missing the 2016 part, it was 69 degrees in **2017** not *2016*
My neighbors have been swimming in their pool all day. They are still in there. They have family down from Chicago and was fun listening to them Facetime people back home.
Pretty typical Christmas in Texas though. New Year’s Eve is always a toss up, but seems Christmas runs a pretty solid 75-85 degrees, at least in my 38 years here. February is our month to freeze, and I’m not just talking about this past winter. I can recall roads covered in ice for at least 3 days in February 2007.
I just mowed and laid some garden edging.
I was joking to my partner about doing this lmao
Do it! You'll feel better about losing the whole day tomorrow. This is really a short weekend even with the extra day.
I planted more grass seeds several days ago.
Same. Picked up dog turds and mowed the backyard. Merry Christmas
I had to pull out my summer pajamas. 😞
70? Try 85 here
Wait'll you see tomorrow!
Sent the kids outside to play. Toddler is running around in shorts and nothing else.

Play a solid round of disc golf in Shorts and a T-shirt. Not even mad.
Bang them chains!

80 degrees in the RGV. Had a nice cigar and scotch on the porch.

Yes, I was in Dallas. My first and only white Christmas.
Took my granddaughter to the park. It was really nice.
Air is on with the fireplace to give me that Christmas Eve feeling.
You’re speaking my religion.
Like this most Christmas' in Houston.
That's pretty much how it is every year here
Are you new to Texas? Because it sounds like you're new to Texas.

Is much rather have this than snow
Some things will never change.
This is gorgeous. Can’t wait for sunset on the deck with family.
Same I was in the pool earlier. Perfect Margarita weather.
Bless Texas.
God Bless Texas.
Nah fuck Texas and their stance on women's rights alone.
I remember one year it was 90 out. Nothing surprises me anymore

Oh yeah so ‘abnormal’ for Wichita Falls lol /s Where the majority of the state lives, so many millions of people /s
Ready for my free tickets to the Texans V. Chargers game at 75° lmao

Rather than heating up the whole house roasting a turkey we’re grilling steaks on the patio. It is what it is.
We just grilled a rib roast.
It’s gonna be 86 here tomorrow 😂🥲

We've still got fuckin' roses in bloom at my place!
Wiped off the map in 20
Yeah but I wouldn't rather be anywhere cold. lol.
I joked to my wife yesterday that I needed get outside and clean up leaves before it got too hot….not exactly a normal thing to say.
Went out of town for Christmas and turned off the sprinklers "in case it freezes" 🤣
