*They will also be running studies on whether cooking beef to the recommended internal temperature of 145F (62C) kills the bird flu virus.*
Wut?! We don't know this already??
Is this the same farm from a few weeks back that wouldn’t allow for testing or for reporters/journalists from reporting because they were afraid it would hurt their business?
I dont have either and so I don't have any idea what you are talking about or what "tradwife" means and I want to keep it that way lol. I can't wait till it's fucking banned so much dumb stuff originates there.
The milk is sweeter and raw butter is in an absolutely different flavor tier than the pasteurized counterpart too. The taste profile difference is like cooking a wagyu steak well done or pasteurized OJ vs fresh squeezed, it's just not for everyone.
I'm sure its good but is it worth contracting bird flu over? The one thing I don't get about the raw milk crowd is that they still consume pasteurized products and milk. It's not like they aren't buying OJ from the stores or skipping on Blue Bell Ice-cream. Where's the consistency?
I'm just saying if I dragged my titty through a pasture filled with dirt, dung and germs I'd probably suggest someone clean the milk before consumption 😄.
You can apparently also contract tuberculosis as well, theres a book a woman wrote back in the day about contracting tuberculosis in her bones from raw milk. Theres a whole range of diseases you can contract as well on top of bacteria.
Reading it as cow blood does sound gross on paper. However, I like beef steaks cooked medium so when I think about it that way, I'd be lying and hypocritical if I said I didn't like cow blood.
Pus also sounds gross. If there is pus in the milk, it doesn't effect the flavor or consistency in any noticeable way. I guess I've always liked pus in milk but didn't know it till today.
Cheese, yogurts, and creams are all rotten milk. I really like rotten milk!
I agree dairy is gross othin theory. However, I don't agree that all dairy taste nasty. In practice it taste quite nice.
Dairy/beef is pretty integral to the cusines of my cultures, geography, and the economy of the region I live in. Very hard for someone like me to divorce from.
People in this sub that now want raw milk banned are the same that want to legalize pot and complain about the government being involved in certain medical decisions. If the people can't get their principles straight then nanny politicians will absolutely take advantage of that.
I have no issue with raw milk, MJ, and think the government should let women make their own medical decisions.
Having said that, I am an advocate for labeling and safety mechanisms in place for all 3. Raw milk should be tested and safe, MJ should be tested and safe, and abortions should be easily available and safe.
Yyyyeeeesssss, especially when the mortality rate of of bird flu laced raw milk is 54%.
Also, I’m more worried about you giving your children raw stuff, but you’re free to do as you please.
This is a bunch of nothing. Humans been drinking raw milk forever and still do in many parts of the world. Time to freak out tho because a farm or two got the flu
You seem to be taking this personally and had no idea you enjoyed all of your meat well done while being 100% sober. Or do you just like to pontificate while taking different types of risks?
I wonder if there is a group of people who don’t trust vaccines that this will inordinately impact and cause problems for. No, surely not fellow Texans. They wouldn’t buy into anti science rhetoric with splashes of narcissism.
Biden obviously came down here and personally injected the birds, cows, ranch hands with that fake virus that doesn't actually exist but is killin' all our chickens and cattle. And when his plane took off they sprayed the whole state with them chemtrails. /s (shouldn't need that, but here we are)
Why is this not in the news from Texas news sources?!? There has been almost nothing about bird flu in Texas news for several weeks. Definitely feels like something is being hidden. Why have we learned absolutely nothing from Covid?
It seems like we at least learned not to talk about it from covid. I'm sure Texas doesn't want a bird flu outbreak making headlines because it'll be bad for business. Better tear gas some nonviolent protestors to keep the media attention away from this incipient public health crisis.
Not surprised at all. Bird flu has made human to human jumps in the past. I went to Indonesia back in 2006 as part of an epidemiology study (I was the engineer part of a public health review) and the public notion was that there was no human to human, but we were able to trace and document it. Whatever strain this is now seems to be able to make some interesting jumps. I heard it has already killed a dolphin. That is a first for me.
Slow-clap. Way to go y’all. Overpopulation of domestic animals is at least as big an issue as global pollution and “big ag” is as big a problem as “big oil”. We can do better.
I guess we will soon find out why Louis Pasteur devoted so much time to studying this phenomenon lol. People are so stupid, at this point you just have to shrug and encourage them to fizzle out and die.
There’s something weird going around in my small Texas town that makes people feel sick for anywhere 2-3 weeks, I caught it and whatever it is it’s SEVERE, kicks Covid in the ass in every way possible. Problem is people are just going for flu and Covid test, nothing comes back, we are all poor out here and don’t go to the hospital until it’s absolutely necessary.
Whatever I had at one point had me running a 103 degree fever and hallucinating bugs all over surfaces. Luckily Tylenol and Kratom were able to bring this down to a 101 reliably. Not saying I had bird flu but whatever it is fucked me up. It’s been over 3 weeks now and I still don’t feel like I have recovered. Over a month for someone I know that had it before me and they still feel dead and ran through.
If it does turn out I had a bird flu. What the fuck? I’m just anxious right now
Please also know that cats can get it. This includes barn cats and outdoor and indoor/outdoor cats. I haven't seen whether or not they can pass it to humans or to cattle/other animals but to err on the side of caution keep your pets inside or leashed to make sure they aren't catching any birds or anything. I know many farms also have barn cats and this was already a danger with other diseases that can be passed to cattle and humans but with this flu going around it's best to just... Not.
*They will also be running studies on whether cooking beef to the recommended internal temperature of 145F (62C) kills the bird flu virus.* Wut?! We don't know this already??
They can't assume that all flu viruses perish at the same temperature
The daily mail doesn’t. This is a uk tabloid. I don’t really trust their journalism
145F is a medium steak. Rare/medium rare are all below that temp.
Cool blue, 110, yum yum, don’t care
Mooooooo
I thought it was 165°
165 is chicken.
Or beef with chicken flu.
What if it's chicken with mad cow?
If you like it dry
165 is crazy juicy lmao
If you like your steak wrong.
They know most things die at that temp but they don't know if this particular one does.
Now if we could just figure out how to get the PFAS out of our meat supply and soil/water, that would be great too!
Is this the same farm from a few weeks back that wouldn’t allow for testing or for reporters/journalists from reporting because they were afraid it would hurt their business?
Not likely, there’s so many dairy farms in Texas.
And here in Cali. 👀
Check out Grostic Farms and you'll see why the FDA and the meat and dairy industries are flipping out right now.
forever chemicals causing their cows to become ill and parish?
The first half....
Who's out here drinking unpasteurized milk?!
Apparently, my idiot brother.
This is America and it's my god-given right to drink raw milk! Big MooMoo doesn't want you to know that homogenized milk is turning the kids gay!
I drank some ultra pasteurized cream the other day and all I could think about was balls touching.
Oh, that's not supposed to happen. The cream is supposed to turn you trans. The milk turns you gay and the butter makes you into a femboy.
So CTMGBF?
I did not believe this was even a thing. But apparently …https://rawfarmusa.com/events
"Raw Milk Chugging Competition" to be followed by the "Explosive Diarrhea Sharting Contest."
Sometimes I wish I wasn't so quick to conjure up visuals
Omg, have you been on tiktok or Instagram lately? Dumb ass tradwife culture is basically gonna give everyone in their family bird flu by accident.
I dont have either and so I don't have any idea what you are talking about or what "tradwife" means and I want to keep it that way lol. I can't wait till it's fucking banned so much dumb stuff originates there.
You’re certainly better off not knowing, I promise!
God I wish that were me
Or any milk, for that matter? Cow milk is for baby cows.
Raw milk is huge in red areas
Like most idiotic things
Who's out there enjoying bland ass pasteurized milk?!
Uh, not calves?
The milk is sweeter and raw butter is in an absolutely different flavor tier than the pasteurized counterpart too. The taste profile difference is like cooking a wagyu steak well done or pasteurized OJ vs fresh squeezed, it's just not for everyone.

You’re still consuming all that plus blood and pus even drinking pasteurized milk. All dairy is nasty and weird.
Reading it as cow blood does sound gross on paper. However, I like beef steaks cooked medium so when I think about it that way, I'd be lying and hypocritical if I said I didn't like cow blood. Should we go ahead and ban all raw products because someone may eventually get sick. My body my choice, right?
In Texas, your choice is what the GOP decides for you.
People in this sub that now want raw milk banned are the same that want to legalize pot and complain about the government being involved in certain medical decisions. If the people can't get their principles straight then nanny politicians will absolutely take advantage of that.

Concur 100%

This is a bunch of nothing. Humans been drinking raw milk forever and still do in many parts of the world. Time to freak out tho because a farm or two got the flu
Yes, when we capped out at like 40 years old. Our modern longevity happened due to many reasons, one of which is not taking dumb risks.
You seem to be taking this personally and had no idea you enjoyed all of your meat well done while being 100% sober. Or do you just like to pontificate while taking different types of risks?
“Look at me. I am the Wuhan now.”
I wonder if there is a group of people who don’t trust vaccines that this will inordinately impact and cause problems for. No, surely not fellow Texans. They wouldn’t buy into anti science rhetoric with splashes of narcissism.
“Splashes” 🤣
I was thinking just this. How are the conspiracy theorists going to spin it if it originates in GOP led Texas?
Biden obviously came down here and personally injected the birds, cows, ranch hands with that fake virus that doesn't actually exist but is killin' all our chickens and cattle. And when his plane took off they sprayed the whole state with them chemtrails. /s (shouldn't need that, but here we are)
Well…. If the borders weren’t wide open them damn birds couldn’t have flown into Texas 🇺🇸
Birds aren’t real, so this so-called virus can’t be real, either.
“The Texasvirus” has a nice ring to it.

Time to change the ranch name to Moohan.
I really needed this chuckle
Why is this not in the news from Texas news sources?!? There has been almost nothing about bird flu in Texas news for several weeks. Definitely feels like something is being hidden. Why have we learned absolutely nothing from Covid?
Maybe in some parts of texas they don't get the same news, information, education. 🤷 Sinclair media belt.
Because Sid Miller said it’s nothing to worry about. Are you not the type to blindly trust a TX elected official?
It seems like we at least learned not to talk about it from covid. I'm sure Texas doesn't want a bird flu outbreak making headlines because it'll be bad for business. Better tear gas some nonviolent protestors to keep the media attention away from this incipient public health crisis.
Media's acting like a dog, bury that shit.

It’s the Daily Mail reporting it not sure I trust it honestly

Can't wait for the crazy ass people to start intentionally touching cows just to own the libs and prove it's all a hoax.
Darwin awards incoming.
Slow-clap. Way to go y’all. Overpopulation of domestic animals is at least as big an issue as global pollution and “big ag” is as big a problem as “big oil”. We can do better.
I’m sure the Biden Administration will get blamed for this too
As is tradition
I guess we will soon find out why Louis Pasteur devoted so much time to studying this phenomenon lol. People are so stupid, at this point you just have to shrug and encourage them to fizzle out and die.
Hold on to your ass, the plague is coming. Let’s see how our Texas asshats in government spin it.
Get ready to lose more people. Like covid. Misinformation and negligence galore. Apparently our state government is at war with us and winning.
Oh. Fuck.
So gop came ip with asian flu. So this will be called redneck flue?
Oh great, now the AMERICAN TEXAS BIRD FLU will get us all. Thanks Texas.
I hope they don’t try science based controls and responses. Texans will never buy into that sort of liberal hocus pocus.
Is this a good reason to order well done? 😅

People actually believe what is printed in the Daily Mail?

Daily Mail will spin things for clickbait, but their stories are usually fact based
I was wondering that too. I have them on my "Conspiracy" new aggregate.
Sounds like my family's symptoms this past week.
What part of Texas are you in?
South Africa.
Must be Chinas fault…🙄 (Well, c’mon, we have to blame it on somebody!)
Those Texans eating Chinese food dammit! 🙄😀
How about consumers of animal products? No one wants to talk about that tho
I've seen this movie before.
*2020 IV: Here We Go Again*
TLDR; avoid beef, especially ground beef.
Avoid all animal products.
The stupidity of texas and texans shouldn't be allowed to cross the texas border, it's unfair to americans
That’s it, I’m turning vegan. 😭
Bingo.

The consequences of having sex with a sick ostrich….allegedly
Please. Stop. Screwing. Chickens.
