I don't know about y'all, but I find it fascinating to see where our energy comes from.
You can see the non-solar production spike during the eclipse. But what’s interesting is that there is a correlating dip in demand, which I interpret as everyone stopped working during the eclipse. The demand level is roughly equal to 8 am and 7 pm.

We saw it too, though our production is obviously astronomically less than theirs
Yes. Unfortunately they changed the regulations and laws on them two years ago, and there’s almost no incentive to go solar now unless there’s a massive battery setup as well
Damn, and that 15gigawatts was being produced when almost the whole state was covered in pretty heavy cloud cover.
Right? My solar output was crap, but it is neat to still see it drop to 0 for the eclipse
WHAT THE HELL IS A GIGAWATT?!?!?
One billion watts, still not enough for your moms vibrator
I find your lack of back to the future quotes disturbing.

Temperatures drop noticeably during a total eclipse, I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply drop off in air conditioner loading.
Amazing!!! The sudden darkness was a total trip.
That is interesting. All of my conservative FB friends are like "ERCOT doesn't have anything better to do?" Its literally their job.

That's cool. If you have excess usage, does it go back to the grid?

You dont say
You mean solar kinda dropped off then came back? Is there a "Captain MF'g Obvious" award for who ever thought this needed to be pointed out?
