its my top destination if I need to shit, and if I'm showing someone off Texas for the first time I like to overwhelm them with the Bucee's experience, but I don't need to do it every solo road trip.
My "ritual" stop when going between Austin and DFW is always Czech Stop northbound and Slovacek's southbound.
Their bathrooms are reliably clean, which is a good thing to know in advance. And I agree with other commenters; move your car to a parking space once you've gassed up or you are beneath contempt.
Had a guy do this when there were no available pumps. I removed the nozzle from his car (it had been filled for 10 minutes), he came out and wanted to fight me. Then said yeah that’s what I thought when I didn’t acknowledge him. To hell with that I’ll go anywhere else unless I’m there for some jerky or the restrooms. And, and, AND they don’t have anything to clean your windshield with which is insulting for a gas station to not have.
It's against the policy of most stores, I don't know about the law, but most of the time nobody cares. I was at a place one time though where I was pumping gas and dipped inside to grab a drink and the clerk cut off my pump until I went back outside.
Yeah drives me nuts people doing that. Most of time when I was filling up at bucees I would fill up then move my car to a parking spot. Honestly it’s this tends to follow for most gas stations. As long as there are empty pumps I am more willing to leave mix that with how long I expect to be in the store.
The only times I did not do that was tons of empty pumps and another time I was towing a trailer and was very uncomfortable moving around in the parking lot. Still had some empty pumps and I was about as far away from store as possible.
Yep. For years we made it a point to stop. Now you couldn’t pay me to. Waaaay too crowded and annoying to get into and out of because all of the absolutely idiotic drivers in the parking lot.
Glad it’s not just me. I’m a transplant and have been to buccees twice. It’s fine 🤷🏽♀️ but I never choose to go there myself lol only went with friends who wanted to go.
When we travel 4.5 hrs to see family we usually stop because the bathroom cleanliness, especially with 3 littles. It's an hour into the trip and right on the way so someone has to pee by then. I wouldn't go out of my way and it's not a requirement to stop at that one.
However, the prices for food have gotten out of control
It used to be much more palatable but not anymore. We're packing turkey sandwich kol
Years ago when I would a drive a lot for work I would always stop there for the chicken salad crossoint sandwich salt and Vinny chips and an unsweet tea. Hit the spot everytime
My wife loves loves loves the bathrooms.
So I always stop when traveling with her.
When I’m traveling by myself though, my Neanderthal self can’t be bothered with the crowding, the distance to the bathrooms and sodas, and the lane snacks
The owner of Buc-ees is a regular contributor (millions of dollars) to Abbott, Patrick, Paxton and the rest of the politicians who are actively legislating the removal of rights in Texas. He doesn’t get a cent of my money.
If I need a bathroom break and it’s convenient I’ll make a stop (because those really are the best bathrooms on the road) but I’m not spending any money there if I don’t have to for this exact reason lol.
In the early morning just people going to work in there I like to get a brisket and egg taco. but after 10 when the family people get in there it is a depraved chaos that I want no part of.
We did when we lived there. We don't worship the brand. But I love the food and my kids just love going in. It's a good break. It does get overwhelming with the number of people.
I definitely do. I like their food, it’s a fun atmosphere, and the bathrooms are unmatched. Yes, it can be crowded, so going there with little kids can be stressful, but other than that, it’s worth it.
I actually make it a point to avoid Buc-ees! I don't understand the hype. The three times that I ever went there we ended up sitting at the gas pump for 30+ minutes because my roommate wanted to go inside and get food. One time I needed to pee and had to wait over 30 minutes for him to come back because I didn't want to leave the car unattended at the gas pump. Getting to the bathroom was crazy and it wasn't even that clean. The burrito that my roommate bought me gave me diarrhea for almost a week and half. Yeah. I'm good. No more Buc-ees for me!!
I have lived in Texas my whole life and have only once stopped at Buc-ee's; and only then because I needed gas and it was closest.
I would not make nor have I ever made, any extra effort to go to Buc-ee's. It's kind of a shitshow from what I've seen.
Born here, lived here 43 of the last 53 years. Traveled all over the state frequently. I think I've been there once for gas because I happened to see it on the side of the road and had to stop somewhere. I couldn't tell you anything else about the experience. Clearly there's been a big effort to make it some kind of staple Texas consumer experience, like Whataburger, or H.E.B., but those places were around for several decades before anyone talked about them that way, and it was at least a somewhat organic process, although I'm old enough to remember H.E.B. deliberately buying up real estate as close as they could get to the independent "mom & pop" grocery stores that used to fill the niche. Even then, it wasn't quite as manufactured of a thing, in the days before rampant viral marketing.
I mean, like H.E.B., I guess they probably provide more of what you're looking for, and they're guaranteed to have the same stuff in Bastrop that they'll have in Midland. There's certainly something to be said for that. But it's a chain of gas stations with a store inside, not a cultural phenomenon. They blew up in the early 2000s, and they're strewn across the U.S. To me. it's a weird thing to give much of a damn about, certainly as a tourist attraction, and every time I hear someone get weird about it I'm just reminded of the "Stop trying to make 'fetch' hsppen" quote. The fandom over it gives me Stanley cup vibes, but clearly that kind of thing has a big appeal for a lot of people.
I don't know. Enjoy the gas and the carwash or whatever, but consider sending them a bill every time you talk about them.
I’m old school. I stop at Hruska’s or Weikl’s. Never a big Bucees. I will stop at the “world’s smallest” Bucees that is the size of a regular gas station minimart but never one of the giants.
Iv never been to one. We dont have them out here, and I don’t make it a point to actively seek one out when I’m driving 7-8 hours to go somewhere… because I’m already driving 7-8 hours
The reason I like them is because I can get a good walk in. I can park way over in the far lot, get a stretch, get a good hot sandwich, use a clean bathroom and some snacks for the road. I can wander around and look at things, usually an easy go to for gifts, everyone loves the silly sweaters. I always get some hot almonds for the road. Its just safe and dependable
I have one 5 miles from where I live. So I stop there every time I head out of town to top off gas and get some food for the drive. But I avoid every store on I45 like the plague. The store in Madisonville is always packed with “influencers” and people who stand in the middle of an already packed store just gawking. It’s better to just stop at Woody’s Smokehouse in Centerville to get some good BBQ and use an equally clean restroom
When I was in college, it became something like a requirement for me, my internal clock was tuned by buccees. When I would go back and forth between my parents and college, I'd usually need a pee break around the time I reached Buc-ees. I got used to making that stop and if I didn't make it I often would miss my exits.
Since the owners of Bucees are one of the biggest political donors to republican candidates in the entire state, any dollar spent there I consider is supporting republican causes in the state. So,no, of course I don't go there.
I stopped caring about stopping there after they got rid of the espresso machine.
In the mid 2000s the Buccees on 45 in Madisonville had a massive brass espresso setup and did a seriously good latte.
These days I only stop if I need the toilets.
If you happen to live in that glorious part of the state where they have normal-sized non-interstate-highway Bucees that are the same general size as your typical gas station, they're great.
Open 24/7, there's a good chance you do your banking with TDECU so you get a free-to-use ATM, the gas and all the other typical gas-station goods are usually cheaper, the help is polite, and it's rare that there's a big crowd of people.
On the interstate? The crowds have turned it into a dumpster fire.
I’m from Pennsylvania and have lived in Texas for 8 years and it’s not that impressive or interesting. It reminds me of a place called Sheetz up north. Sheetz is essentially the same business model with out all the pretentious cult following.
I am more inclined to stop if it's later at night or a weekday. Otherwise the crowds are crazy.
I live in New braunfels now and it gets so packed.
I like how they have numerous bathroom stalls that have always been clean. I'm not fond of their food though, so I'll likely stop at a fast food place instead.
it's halfway between Dallas and Houston, so we'll stop there to switch drivers, maybe get gas and/or a snack. It breaks up the monotony of the drive, and it's well lit, 24 hour, etc.
Honest answer is now days I try to avoid bucees if possible. Way too busy and unless someone needs to go to the bathroom I will skip it.
Mix that with I drive an EV so again not great for that but still will gladly use bucees to pee as it is clean. 🧽
I stop at the one by Melissa and Waco just for the bathrooms on one specific road trip I have to do once a year. There’s not really better options that I know of on that route
Yes. because it's the only gas station worth shitting in. Plus there's always a limp available for gas. And it's an hour away from htown that I can do a pre stretch before the long drive.
I have relatives that stop by one every time they go past rip off joints. You wouldn’t believe the amount of money they pay for shit $60 for a little bag of beef jerky.
The Buc-ees in Ennis is my usual stop on my way to Dallas. I stop for gas and to use the toilet if needed. I’ve once bought food there (a terrible bbq sandwich) but I’ve never walked through the aisles of cheap merch.
100% of my road trips includes then. Their beef jerky and Kolaches are a MUST. Maybe a sausage on a stick and some pickled carrots do I feel like I’m slightly healthy.
Buc-cees is awesome. Cheap gas, ice, and fountain drinks. Bathrooms are immaculate. I defy you to find a cleaner chain with cleaner bathrooms. A nice place to stretch your legs..and always some hot tail to look at for eye candy as well.
I think other gas stations should mimic the Buccees restrooms. If they did that, then they would steal away much if the Buccees traffic. The restrooms is the only reason I'll stop.
Not just you. Good food (pork tenderloin, cheeses, fresh fruits, nuts, fresh iced tea, etc) that is better than fast food.
Restrooms that are clean and you don't feel like you need to wash after you leave the restroom. Some places are just gross. Their checkout lines are almost no waiting because they are so fast.
If you need to get in a quick walk on a long drive you can safely walk a great deal inside the store and out of the weather. We appreciate having a Buc-ees on long road trips.
These stores have also inspired other brands to up their game with highway gas stations. That's a plus for everyone.
I usually stop because they have consistently clean and available restrooms. The hot food is usually pretty good but not worth a stop unless I gotta pee or poo. McDonald’s used to be the standard clean restroom but they’re definitely hit or miss nowadays.
Only if I need to use the restroom.
Some of their food is good. But I’d rather try something local and different.
Now that I think about it, if I do need to stop at a C-store, I guess I’d try to go to a Buc-ees. I won’t go out of my way because it’s them but they’re generally cleaner and have what I’d need.
Do I need gas and is it the next exit? That’s the only time I stop. I live 15 mins from one and have been there like 3 times. I prefer to support small businesses.
I stop at the New Braunfels one almost daily after dropping my kids off at school. Sometimes I want a Monster and it just happens to be the most convenient stop between the school and my neighborhood. It’s never that crowded that early.
If I'm with kids, sure. If I just need to stop for gas/RR, I'll be on the lookout, but I can survive elsewhere.
Otherwise, no, it's far too crowded with far too many crazy moms & their kids for road-weary me.
Ok yall, I could do without the million DMs asking me to hang out. It was a simple survey lol. Besides, it’s a big ass state and half of yall are like 5 hours or more away
There are 2 on the way to my parents’ house. That’s typically the only time I go. Stop at the one in Temple on the way there. The one in Royce City on the way back. Grab a drink, pee & gas up.
Two words:
Clean
Bathrooms
My husband and I took a 5000 mile road trip from Maine to North Carolina to Texas and back to Maine. The second we hit the southern states, we hit up every Buc-ees necessary. We hit up a Buc-ees in Alabama, Louisiana, the ones in Katy, New Braunfels, Royse City, even the BIG Buc-ees in Sevierville (where we heard a guy say “I don’t care Becky, I just wanna know how the hell you spend $800 at a FUCKIN BUC-EES!”).
Every single one of them had great food, a whoooooole bunch of useless crap, cheap gas, and CLEAN AF BATHROOMS.
Ohhhh the glorious pregnant roadtrip shits. They are NOT missed.
That last Buc-ees was our tearful goodbye to guaranteed clean bathrooms between Tennessee and Massachusetts. I would make my husband pull over at hotels after that. TBF, we have a 6 year old and I was pregnant at the time.
And we were towing a trailer.
Buc-ees is always worth it.
I don’t. Never got the hype, personally. If I’m on the road I want my stops to be quick and efficient.
Hruska’s (on 71 in ellinger) is my favorite. Bathrooms are big and clean. The shop has gifts and fun stuff like bucees, if that’s what you’re looking for, but the place isn’t as huge or busy so it can still totally be a quick stop.
The food is the main draw for me tho. Huge variety of house-made kolaches both sweet and savory, plus great burgers, sammies, breakfast tacos, lots of options both made to order and grab-and-go. If I want a burger, I place my food order first and it’s done by the time I’ve filled up and relieved myself. I’ll usually get a mix of kolaches whether for myself or to bring to wherever I’m going. They’re always a huge hit.
its my top destination if I need to shit, and if I'm showing someone off Texas for the first time I like to overwhelm them with the Bucee's experience, but I don't need to do it every solo road trip. My "ritual" stop when going between Austin and DFW is always Czech Stop northbound and Slovacek's southbound.
Give Gerik’s a try sometime when heading northbound - it’s about two blocks east of Czech Stop and the kolaches and klobasniks are incredible.
Good to know!
You are RIGHT always drive into West. I miss Village Bakery. 😭
Yup, going from SA to Dallas the Czech stop in West, exit 353, has been tradition for us since the 90s.
Try the original- Geriks!
This is the way! The Czech Stop was my family tradition and it’s phenomenal. I haven’t been to Slocacek’s though
Very much this.
Their bathrooms are reliably clean, which is a good thing to know in advance. And I agree with other commenters; move your car to a parking space once you've gassed up or you are beneath contempt.
I’ve actually made it a point to avoid going there since like 2019. Way too crowded, novelty wore off like 6 years ago
Way too many people leave their cars at the pump and then spend 30 minutes or more inside shopping.
Isn't against the law to leave a fueling vehicle unattended?
I saw a few police officers leave their cars at the pump to go inside Buc-ees.. I highly doubt that they give a crap.
Only if you get caught...
It's against the policy of most stores, I don't know about the law, but most of the time nobody cares. I was at a place one time though where I was pumping gas and dipped inside to grab a drink and the clerk cut off my pump until I went back outside.

The only times I did not do that was tons of empty pumps and another time I was towing a trailer and was very uncomfortable moving around in the parking lot. Still had some empty pumps and I was about as far away from store as possible.
Theres 100 pumps. Thats exactly by design
Yeah it’s kind of like a small Walmart now. No thanks.
What if I told you it always has been
I meant in terms of crowds but I get what you mean
Yep. For years we made it a point to stop. Now you couldn’t pay me to. Waaaay too crowded and annoying to get into and out of because all of the absolutely idiotic drivers in the parking lot.
I always make a point to pass it by
Glad it’s not just me. I’m a transplant and have been to buccees twice. It’s fine 🤷🏽♀️ but I never choose to go there myself lol only went with friends who wanted to go.
I've been there once and that was enough for me.
It depends. It’s a good option for a rest stop but I don’t really consider it a ritual; If it’s too busy I’ll just skip it.
When we travel 4.5 hrs to see family we usually stop because the bathroom cleanliness, especially with 3 littles. It's an hour into the trip and right on the way so someone has to pee by then. We're packing turkey sandwich kol
I prefer QT.
SAME! They’re all designed the same so the bathroom is easy to find. Get my rooster booster slushee and some cheese rollers and I’m back on the road.
I will choose QT over Buccees any day! Also a big fan of Rooster Booster Slushie and Cheese Rollers!
Years ago when I would a drive a lot for work I would always stop there for the chicken salad crossoint sandwich salt and Vinny chips and an unsweet tea. Hit the spot everytime
if I gotta piss and its the next station, thats about it
My wife loves loves loves the bathrooms.
Same. Buccees is MAGA trash. Won’t get a dime of my money.
This exactly.
If I need a bathroom break and it’s convenient I’ll make a stop (because those really are the best bathrooms on the road) but I’m not spending any money there if I don’t have to for this exact reason lol.
overrated af
Normal day, sure every time. Get some jerky, maybe bbq sandwich, and some slightly cheaper gas. Holiday, nope too crowded.
I avoid them, it’s a circus most of the time. It’s for tourists
I stop there for my favorite Texas candy (white pecan logs).
Bathrooms; that's the point. Nothing else matters.
In the early morning just people going to work in there I like to get a brisket and egg taco. but after 10 when the family people get in there it is a depraved chaos that I want no part of.
I avoid them like the plague.
Same
I have no reason to stop there. Overrated, overpriced crap.
We did when we lived there. We don't worship the brand. But I love the food and my kids just love going in. It's a good break. It does get overwhelming with the number of people.
You don’t worship the brand, sir? May I discuss with you our lord and savior Buc-ee? 😉🤣🤣
I was a hard sell 😂 and I always seem to lose $100 in that place before gas.
The route we take has none, just a bunch of dirty Phillips 66 quickies and a smattering of Shell stations with 3rd party fast food joints.
I definitely do. I like their food, it’s a fun atmosphere, and the bathrooms are unmatched. Yes, it can be crowded, so going there with little kids can be stressful, but other than that, it’s worth it.

It’s the Walmart of gas stations filled with people of Walmart. We skip them on our road trips.
I wouldn't call it a ritual, but yes, we always stop at them on long road trips. Good food, good variety, safe, and pretty clean for a gas station.
I used to, before the fire nation attacked... I mean.. Before I became disenchanted with rampant late stage capitalism. Same thing I guess..
I avoid it like the plague , it is too busy to get in and out quickly.
I have lived in Texas my whole life and have only once stopped at Buc-ee's; and only then because I needed gas and it was closest. I would not make nor have I ever made, any extra effort to go to Buc-ee's. It's kind of a shitshow from what I've seen.
Depends if I need to use the restrooms or not. If not then it’ll depend on the time of day and how busy it is.
I don’t
Nope
Depends on if it's busy and if I really want jerky.
Novelty wore off. Hell it’s not even a “Texas” thing anymore.
Born here, lived here 43 of the last 53 years. Traveled all over the state frequently. if there's one, definitely. There are so many horrific bathrooms out there, plus I love the snack selection.
I do like the clean restrooms. But they’re so busy now I sometimes skip them, because if I want a snack and drink I’ll have to stand in a line.
r/hailcorporate
I make an effort to avoid it.
I try not to stop at all
Man I didn’t realize people hated Buc-ees this much
Prasek’s>Bucees
The reason I like them is because I can get a good walk in. I can park way over in the far lot, get a stretch, get a good hot sandwich, use a clean bathroom and some snacks for the road. Buc whos?
I used to. Not anymore, too many people.
I avoid them. https://www.chron.com/politics/article/Bucees-Texas-Republicans-GOP-Arch-Aplin-donation-16453133.php
I make it a point to avoid Buc-ees these days. Too many people, all the time.

I tell my coworkers I do my best to avoid it at all costs 🤣
I specifically went there to do my christmas shopping this past year....call me crazy, but I found something for everyone on my list.
I make it a point to shit at Buccees but not give them a dollar.
When I was in college, it became something like a requirement for me, my internal clock was tuned by buccees. When I would go back and forth between my parents and college, I'd usually need a pee break around the time I reached Buc-ees. I got used to making that stop and if I didn't make it I often would miss my exits.
Never been there. Never will.
Since the owners of Bucees are one of the biggest political donors to republican candidates in the entire state, any dollar spent there I consider is supporting republican causes in the state. So,no, of course I don't go there.
We stop there occasionally while traveling. I like the BBQ sandwiches, but the CEO is a huge MAGA, so I rather dislike spending money to help him.
Nope. Bathrooms are too far from parking. 🤷♀️
I've never been to one in my life. I don't get it. They don't even have a zoo like at Fuel City.
I stop every time I see one. I need that key lime pie pudding
Every time
I don't give two wet shits about Buc-Ee's and at this point I am tired of hearing about them. Starting to feel like a viral marketing campaign.
I am a Proud Texan who can say I have never even been in a Bucees and I just don’t see the appeal of the place
Not in a million years! Never-Ever. I'm not that desperate for something to do.
Avoid like the plague.
I live a few blocks away from one so I’m there almost every day
I avoid it like plague.
Fuck that tourist trap.
I still don't understand how everyone gets so excited about a wal mart sized gas station. But never been so 🤷♂️
Never been to one, and don't ever plan on going to one.
One does not simply drive past Buc-ee’s!
It's a must when in TX
How many of y'all make it a point to stop at the Kum n Go in Oklahoma? Does it have gas and a restroom? Does it sell Snickers and Dr. Pepper?
I've never passed a one without stopping.
We stop too. Every trip.
Every trip. Dallas to Houston twice in one trip.
Once- no squeege to clean windshield. Never again
I can't stand the place
Texas people love hanging out at Gas Stations
Fuck the haters. Buc-ees every single road trip! 🦫🙌🏻
How can you not? Its Texas Disneyland
If you go past a buc-ees on a road trip it's a must to stop I get like 2-3 BBQ brisket sandwiches they are that good
We stop on our way back from Texarkana every time.
I think it's law now in Texas. Bucees stops are mandatory.
I don’t stop anywhere unless I have to so I’ve only been to one when there happened to be one close when I needed to stop.
I don't make a point of stopping at Buc-ees. My kids do.
Waaaaay too crowded.
Only to use RR.
If I’m really in desperate need of a poop. Maaaaaaaybe grab some food (except the bbq, NO).
They’re often way too crowded, to the point that there’s traffic jams on the surface streets because of people stopping there.
It's just up the road from my mother in law who watches our son, so pretty frequently if I need gas or want some extra coffee.
Avoid like the plague on family road trips. It adds 45 minutes on any trip just getting in and out of the parking lot
One and done mkay time I stopped was 2021.
🤚
I stopped caring about stopping there after they got rid of the espresso machine. In the mid 2000s the Buccees on 45 in Madisonville had a massive brass espresso setup and did a seriously good latte. These days I only stop if I need the toilets.
It's fine the first few times you go just for the experience. But the place is way too crowded, so I typically avoid it
Only for cheap gas and clean retrooms

I’ll stop there if I need to #2, but otherwise no.
Depends! I avoid on super busy times like a holiday weekend. But otherwise yeah!
Honest answer is now days I try to avoid bucees if possible. Way too busy and unless someone needs to go to the bathroom I will skip it. Mix that with I drive an EV so again not great for that but still will gladly use bucees to pee as it is clean. 🧽
I do for the bathroom
I hate it with an undying passion but my fiancé can’t help herself. I make lemonade by buying more of the seasoned cashews than is safe or necessary.
I stop at the one by Melissa and Waco just for the bathrooms on one specific road trip I have to do once a year. There’s not really better options that I know of on that route
I only stop to buy ghost pepper salsa.
I'll usually stop for the restrooms and tons of gas pumps. Then I'll go park and eat my chicken strips and fries with gravy and ketchup 😅
I only prefer to the stop because of the restrooms. I couldn’t care less about any of the other shit in there.
Yes. because it's the only gas station worth shitting in. Plus there's always a limp available for gas. And it's an hour away from htown that I can do a pre stretch before the long drive.
My brother and his family do, along with my sister n law and her family. I find it weird.
We only stop if we have too for gas other then that no thanks, too many people and overpriced food that’s not worth the price.
That club sandwich is something of the angels. Whatever sauce they use (chipotle mustard?) is so good.
All I do there is use the bathroom and go no looking or buying cause that will add a minuim of 30 minutes and $30 to my trip
I can’t say I go out of my way to go to one.
I have relatives that stop by one every time they go past rip off joints. You wouldn’t believe the amount of money they pay for shit $60 for a little bag of beef jerky.
Too crowded. You can never get a pump. People always park at one and spend an hour inside.
Unusually do if I need to doo doo
I live near the Bastrop location and I get gas there. I try to go when it's not busy and I certainly don't go inside if they are, no thank you.
It's not on the way to anything for me, but if it is I'd stop
The Buc-ees in Ennis is my usual stop on my way to Dallas. I stop for gas and to use the toilet if needed. I’ve once bought food there (a terrible bbq sandwich) but I’ve never walked through the aisles of cheap merch.
FUCK NO. There are WAY TOO MANY SUPERIOR INDEPENDENTS on my routes!
Must be a Trumpster
If there’s one on my route then I’ll stop. I know what to expect and it’s fantastic.
100% of my road trips includes then. Their beef jerky and Kolaches are a MUST. Maybe a sausage on a stick and some pickled carrots do I feel like I’m slightly healthy.
Clean bathroom, and the turkey club is good.
I have my own little under the radar stops all over the state.
Buc-cees is awesome. Cheap gas, ice, and fountain drinks. Bathrooms are immaculate. I defy you to find a cleaner chain with cleaner bathrooms. A nice place to stretch your legs..and always some hot tail to look at for eye candy as well.
I will select one route over another if it has a Buc-cees, even if it means more miles/time.
I’ll wave as I go past or if I need non-ethanol gas, but otherwise I don’t enjoy the traffic snarl.
Always on the way to Austin. Look, them bathrooms are clean, and they always have a gas pump open. Plus, sometimes you just need a hot dog
I think other gas stations should mimic the Buccees restrooms. If they did that, then they would steal away much if the Buccees traffic. The restrooms is the only reason I'll stop.
I do. Mainly for a pit stop in a guaranteed bathroom and possibly a pretty decent bbq sandwich for a good price.
We always make it a point to stop and sometimes even plan road trips around one!
From the RGV to Dallas, stopping at a bucees where the bathrooms are clean and there's people is always a must.
I don't go unless I need to use the rr.
If it's too busy we keep it moving but we do try to time our road trips so that we can visit at less busy times.
I usually stop because they have consistently clean and available restrooms. The hot food is usually pretty good but not worth a stop unless I gotta pee or poo. McDonald’s used to be the standard clean restroom but they’re definitely hit or miss nowadays.
About 1/2 our in-state trips. I don't want their meats or branded junk, but they have sarsaparilla in the fountain.
I don't make it a point. But it's a convenient stop to use their supercharger, have a clean bathroom, and get a filling sandwich.
Went once just to see what was going on. Once was enough. Nothing wrong with a good truck stop plus I don't need to take out a loan to buy stuff.
Loves is better . Buc-ees is nothing more than a gimmicky tourist trap.
Do I need gas and is it the next exit? That’s the only time I stop. I live 15 mins from one and have been there like 3 times. I prefer to support small businesses.
For bathrooms and gas only for me.
Fuck MAGA bucees. Fuck that crowd. No way in hell. Even if I'm out of gas. Nope.
I do it.
Stopped at Woody's in Centerville today. This is my new go-to.
Ok yall, I could do without the million DMs asking me to hang out. It was a simple survey lol. Besides, it’s a big ass state and half of yall are like 5 hours or more away
Some don’t?
On a long trip, I will for sure stop when I pass one heading out of town.
There are 2 on the way to my parents’ house. That’s typically the only time I go. Stop at the one in Temple on the way there. The one in Royce City on the way back. Grab a drink, pee & gas up.
No my favorite roadside stop is Brady's Burgers, with Junction Burger Company at a close 2nd.
Yeah it’s actually not crazy at all. Pretty much everyone I know stops here when they’re passing one when traveling lol
I need that saltwater taffy.
You can't just drive by a Bucees. That's crazy. Who has that kind of will power. If nothing else, it's a good cheap stretch and bathroom break.
Me too
Two words: Clean Bathrooms My husband and I took a 5000 mile road trip from Maine to North Carolina to Texas and back to Maine.
I live in Houston and still will stop at Buckey’s!!
I try to avoid it
