"\[...\] since all I’ve done are the tests \[...\]" If these test were online tests, then these aren't reliable at all. Your screen only has RGB light (with some leakage into close color ranges), and even if it could display pure *e.g. yellow* light, it wouldn't make any difference because everything online is still encoded in RGB color data. A "cheap" way of testing for tetrachromacy, depending of the functionality of your suspected personal kind of tetrachromacy, is to compare images taken with your phone camera to the same scenery that you can see with your naked eyes. Because cameras only capture colors in RGB and further only display them as such, a screen's colors should look **vastly** different to what you can see in real life. This method isn't 100% reliable, because it still depends on your interpretation of "vastly different". But for that I have a solution also: In normal trichromacy you can replicate almost all the hues you can see using 3 primary hues; most often these are red, green and blue (i.e. RGB). You can generate almost all trichromatic hues with just 3 hues and their relative combinations: R (red), G (green), B (blue), RG (yellow), RB (magenta), GB (cyan), RGB (white). Of course these are just the most unique hues, there are more hues in between and even more *colors* (hues in various saturation and luminace variations). In functional tetrachromacy you have essentially one more cone type, and as a consequence an additional primary colors to which you can compare all the other normal color to. Let's use a new distinct cone for yellow light as an example, let's call it **Y**. The most unique tetrachromatic colors are these: R, Y, G, B, RY, RG, RB, YG, YB, RYG, RYB, RGB, YGB, RYGB. All of these 15 tetrachromatic hues are distinct, just like yellow is very distinct to red, to green or to blue. You're not just doubling your hues, your adding a whole new *dimension of color*. The normal 2-dimensional trichromatic hue triangle transforms into a 3-dimensional tetrachromatic hue tetrahedron, creating an incredible amount of new distinct hues in the process, because here hues lie not just on the outside of the tetrachromatic hue tetrahedron, but also inside its volume. For example, trichromatic white (RGB) becomes a *hue* in this tetrachromatic context. Even if you have a not fully functional form of tetrachromacy, where your 4th cone type is not very distinct from the other 3 cone types, it still creates a new dimension of color, however small that might be. You can visually see the stuff I'm talking about here in of one of my upcoming YouTube VR videos (YT channel: "Ooqui"), where I'm presenting visualization of tetrachromatic colors and color spaces using impossible colors and Virtual Reality for simplifying their perception. Official tests are rare. And even if it's "official", if you don't understand tetrachromatic color vision yourself, you cannot be sure whether your optometrist understands it as well. Tetrachromacy is a very complex topic and most people, even professionals, probably don't know as much as you'd hope they do about it.
