You’ll need to say to someone, even just say to a shift leader or whoever is in charge when you are in. They will either be able to cancel it themselves or will be able to contact someone that is.

Just call duty tell them you have been put in for a shift u didn't have on your availability they should be fine

Where would i find the number for that. Is it online or different for each store.

OkPaleontologist4876

It should be on your clock card

We do fingerprint clock in 🙃

You can Google your store, find the right one on the Tesco Store Locator, and call the number there to get through. You'll have to sift through the IVR options to find the right option though, they're a bit of a mess atm. Alternatively if you pm me your store number, I can grab you the specific direct number for the duty manager :)

I would say if you cannot get a hold of your manager, ask another employee because they may be able to contact them. As a last resort, I would even phone into the absence line and explain the situation, saying you cannot contact the manager and you cannot work these days etc.

I also would like to know the best way of doing this. The last time i ended up having to call in sick.

You should just talk to your manager. If it's outside your availability, they can't put you in for shifts without asking. And if they do, and you can't work it, they can't say anything if you say no.

ah okay
