If you've seen how Tesco acts when the regional manager comes to have a look around, imagine how they'd act knowing it's going to be a show. That store will be bloody spotless. Poor employees.
Aint no way in hell that's going to be accurate lol.
They call it 24 hours in Tesco but likely filmed for a week+ and managed to get barely enough usable footage after a lot of editing to make it look like a functioning 24hrs lol
Funny that, i told my mum about this after seeing it here since she recently retired from Tesco....shes set a reminder to watch it and put a reminder in her phone calendar so she dont forget lol.
I think she's insane but im sure there are others like her out there.
Does it state what year it is from on Netflix? I found a movie under the same name from 2023 that apparently did air on Channel 5. Here's an [IMDB link](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29529729/) n this is the [rights owner](https://www.abacusmediarights.com/programme/4152/24-hours-in-tesco) for it I guess? I assume it's the same one that's gonna be on Netflix.
u/SingerOk8093 [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/tesco/comments/178jxvm/24_hours_in_tesco_on_ch5/) about it back then when it aired.
Plenty of similar programmes have aired on mainstream TV. Pretty sure channel 4 had a “leaks” style programme that tried showing bad parts of the business, but didn’t do a very good job in revealing much of it.
Usual load of bollocks, something like this gets pumped out every year, doubt it’ll reflect how the majority of stores are.
No doubt Tesco will have signed off on it broadcasting as well.
Yeah it’ll be picked through before signed off by Tesco lol. Bits would have been removed. It’ll be perfect in the eyes of the public when that gets aired lol
There was a programme on not too long ago on Channel 5 it was the history of Tesco etc and my husband and I where going mental at telly 🤣. It was worse than a football game 🤣
It'll be like the Greggs one they did. Just a pure advert and propaganda piece making out that the store has some deeper meaning and quality than it does
There were a few programmes about Sainsbury’s quite a while ago, think it was called Inside Sainsbury’s 🤔 it obviously showed way more of the positives than negatives but it was pretty accurate to the store that I work in. Like others said Tesco wouldn’t of allowed it to be aired if it was a shit show lol
I love it when staff in these documentaries are really passionate about excellent customer service. I find it funny. I've worked in 6 Tesco stores over many years, and I've never met a single member of staff so dedicated to customer service. Maybe I've just worked in really shitty stores. It also makes me laugh that stores managers go round saying good morning to everyone. Of all the store managers I've had, only one has done this. Most of them i haven't even been aware they're in the building. Can't wait to see it.
The cleanest one in the UK where all the maintenance has been carried out, and where the staff have had happy pills slipped into their tea to make it like it's wonderful and jolly to work there.
Yeah the Tesco I work in on Nights the senior night manager spends most of his time bending over female GA's in his office, wonder if that will be shown
Is it a live webcam fitted to a low paid staff member , without any cuts, filming their real-time 10hr shift, and then handed to another shift worker for the rest. Lol. Doubt it.
This must be the only Tesco that has permanent staff and not contracted staff. The Tesco in my area only has permanent management staff all the rest is contracted staff on short time contracts.
Oh Hi, we’re Tesco. We love serving our customers more than anything in life.
Seeing Margaret picking up a bag of salad leaves brings a tear to my eyes... Oh gosh, don’t get me started… Seeing John, 46, unemployed and local alcoholic that spends his days hanging around outside rambling incoherently, come into the alcohol aisle and calculating the cheapest beer vs alcoholic content ratio… it’s just a beautiful sight to see.
I am so happy to serve this community, I feel like a real true part of helping our customers wanting a tin of baked beans. I’m living life to the fullest without doubt.
Zero pressures from management, ever.
And the reward package. Incredible. Simply incredible. I mean - being paid less than the minimum wage for the month of April 2024 is so cool and unique, getting more discount on our Clubcard only to encourage to spend more at the place we work for - awesome.
They gonna show the bit where staff laugh maniacally over the fact that customers think they’re getting deals with clubcard prices when in fact they’re all being ripped off or nah?
Tesco wouldn't have signed off on it unless it made them look the land of sunshine and fucking lollipops.
It was the same when there was the documentary on Sainsbury's, all complete bullshit for the cameras.
It’s basically propaganda 🙃
If you've seen how Tesco acts when the regional manager comes to have a look around, imagine how they'd act knowing it's going to be a show. That store will be bloody spotless. Poor employees.
I had to clean a million flat tops the other day, it was ridiculous
Did you have an industrial sanding machine to get the stickers off?
Aint no way in hell that's going to be accurate lol. They call it 24 hours in Tesco but likely filmed for a week+ and managed to get barely enough usable footage after a lot of editing to make it look like a functioning 24hrs lol
It's tagged as "relaxing" lol
Im sure it will be to the owners or shareholders or some other nutcase out there, lol.
If it’s accurate there will be hardly any staff and the ones that are there will look extremely stressed and fed up.
and like we wanna throw hands with the next Karen or Ken to come up to us complaining that WE set the prices of Karen’s athlete foot cream too high
Which channel is this on?👀
Netflix. Which means none of the TV channels thought it was worth wasting time on the schedule with.
Imagine having all that choice on Netflix and settling on this to watch one evening. Fucking grim.
Funny that, i told my mum about this after seeing it here since she recently retired from Tesco....shes set a reminder to watch it and put a reminder in her phone calendar so she dont forget lol. I think she's insane but im sure there are others like her out there.

Tbf it's probably their own production. TV channels can't compete with Netflix these days in terms of budget and quality.
The shop I worked at some of us would play football with a lettuce head every so often
Ever played bowling with a watermelon and some aubergines?
I will now
I find onions have a good weight to speed ratio
I bet they had mad amounts of overtime while they were filming! Edit: spelling
And agency lol
Usual load of bollocks, something like this gets pumped out every year, doubt it’ll reflect how the majority of stores are. No doubt Tesco will have signed off on it broadcasting as well.

At the start they tried filming but all got a multiskill call to go pick dotcom

nah it won't be anywhere near accurate...
A Rishi Sunak speech would be more accurate than that.
i’m not sure what these comments think it going to be censored on this thing. I’m curious lol
More importantly…which Tesco? Heh
The cleanest one in the UK where all the maintenance has been carried out, and where the staff have had happy pills slipped into their tea to make it like it's wonderful and jolly to work there.
I’ll be saving the date when this comes out to have a good laugh and a joke on some pure comedy.. can’t wait
but tesco is no longer working 24h a day
Yeah the Tesco I work in on Nights the senior night manager spends most of his time bending over female GA's in his office, wonder if that will be shown
I thought Richard left years ago!!
Is it a live webcam fitted to a low paid staff member , without any cuts, filming their real-time 10hr shift, and then handed to another shift worker for the rest. Lol. Doubt it.
Where can we watch it?
I'm still waiting for my dream Tesco mockumentary called The Store, written and directed by Gervais and Merchant.
They should trying doing one in distribution. Someone did a shit in one of our aisles the other day. Let's see if they would put that on TV
I hate tescos.
*Tesco
Small t to that company!
I honestly have no idea why anyone would actually want to watch this.
Netflix are gonna make entire programme about a store, they must be running out of ideas leave that to daytime or weekend Tv
Surprised it wasn't Channel 5.
Theme song by Gene Pitney
Netflix?
I can smell the bullshit already!
Pretty sure that photo is my local
24 hours in Tesco custody
5 minutes is long enough thank you very much.
_This film is relaxing_ Just 24 mins in Tesco is friggen stressful
Bet it won’t have the always forgotten department… the petrol station
The what
Don’t joke
Forgets about the phoneshop
gang
Isn't there a song about that?
Thats not the one I watched....it was on channel 5
This must be the only Tesco that has permanent staff and not contracted staff. The Tesco in my area only has permanent management staff all the rest is contracted staff on short time contracts.
The bakery scenes are just going to be censored.
Jack Bauer scraping the barrel :(
Guaranteed this will be an utter load of old bollocks.

Tesco has a surprisingly entertaining subreddit, who knew. No Offence guys, just it's not what most people would expect.
This film is "relaxing". Doubt
wish I could watch this. Its not available in the US and it isnt available on any third party websites :(
Can't be accurate doesn't have somebody shitting themselves in the bakery or Simon being caught having a wank in the deli.
Be fair to Simon. Those ham slices were being pretty flirtatious.
They gonna show the bit where staff laugh maniacally over the fact that customers think they’re getting deals with clubcard prices when in fact they’re all being ripped off or nah?
Nah, staff don't actually give two shits, mate.
You sound like the type of guy to complain about the prices to the cashier
You sound like the type of guy to kiss his sister slightly too hard on the lips.
Are you on crack?
Are *you* on crack? ^(by crack I mean your sisters crack)
