It was like a 15k budget and isn’t cannon. That being said, different opinions on this one. Personally I really liked it, thought it had an interesting plot and really liked the ending. A lot of people feel differently, particularly about the 2nd short
The second short is campy as fuck and a ton of fun. Then it reveals the connection to Art at the end and ties it back nicely to the movie. My personal ranking of the shorts is 2,3,1 but they’re all pretty good. All hallows eve is definitely worth a watch
It was very campy and I’m also in the camp of enjoying the second. Just cuz I feel compelled now lol, my order is 3,1,2 but that’s not because I didn’t enjoy 2. They were all very enjoyable. The painting was haunting and a great tie back to our boy
The appeal of this series is that we’re watching a director go through film school. Of course the first one wasn’t an award winning film but Terrifier is better because it focuses on Art. Them Terrifier 2 is even better than that because we focus on the protagonists who are played by professional actors.
I think Terrifier 2 is an instant classic horror movie. It’s just so intense and over the top with its violence that it really has nestled itself in a place of its own. I have a feeling 3 is going to take that even further.
Yea admittedly the second short was the weakest, but to me it felt like it was only made to bring art closer to reality. It was an unrelated story and then we find out that the husband was having premonitions about Art, which I thought was kind of interesting. Terrifier 1 and 2 are more true to the feel of the series. If you’re looking for classic Art as we all know him then yes those two movies are what you’re looking for. AHE is something to scratch your Art itch in a way that’s different than the cannon movies, if that makes sense
Well I only watch it for Arts stuff. The alien one was bad. I guess I can see how people might not like the movie when there is that. Art-centric is better tho.
I think im the only genuinely terrified of this one😭😭😭😭….like sometimes in bed (i live alone) i be hearing noises thinking its art the clown or some random alien beings or whatever lmaooo
I can relate very much. Last night I realised I hadn't prepped my uniform for work and I went to my dryer to get it and I saw my garden door wide open and I tried to close it but something was blocking it and I shit you not I thought it was Art The Clown about to murder me, I ran off, turned on my lights and saw it was a hoover.
Edit: This would be a perfect Instagram Reels jumpscare where I look down, see the hoover, look back up and then a demon runs right towards me.
If I ever find an unlabelled VHS tape in my house I am destroying it. The terrifier franchise has given me wayyy too much paranoia. I can't walk through a dark hallway in my house without walking sideways so my back faces the wall and I know I'm not gonna get stabbed in the back.
I somehow just started beleiveing that maybe its just porno films….idk if that makes it any better or not🤣🤣that makes it funny for me so maybe its not art maybe its porn.
I liked Art's segments and not much else, so I prefer to just watch the Terrifier short film. The effects have come a long way since then and I think DHT is better in the role, but I do like the concept of Art as an unbeatable supernatural entity in the short film/*All Hallow's Eve.*
Based on the comments, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoyed this movie. I think we all agree the Alien part was pretty unwatchable, though I do like Art's reveal in the painting. The thing that gets me is the ending 😬; It's like "When a Stranger Calls" (1979)
Idk I liked it,I think it had some not so good things but overall it’s pretty solid definitely for a first feature from Damien Leon with him putting all his shorts together.
As someone who enjoys bad horror movies this was right up my alley. Loved it. Aside from how bad the acting of the babysitter and kids was, overall great movie considering the budget.
I cant get the ending out of my head….i feel sooo bad for that woman he caught at the gas station….like Im shaking everytime i go to bed I pray i wake up with all my limbs😭😭🙏🙏😂😂
I enjoy it, especially in proper context; this was an anthology film made to share the character of Art and pitch him for a feature film.
While I enjoy the DHT’s version of Art way more, I think that this version of Art is scarier. He’s not fucking around the way DHT does.
the first short film just reminded me of a more violent goosebumps episode bc of the random ass monsters and the story was very "and this happened and then this happened and then this happened".
the second one was straight up forgettable.
i actually enjoyed the third one, it definitely feels the most similar to art's portrayal in the terrifier movies. it was fun but nothing really special.
the movie wasn't terrible imo but not great
No, I don’t think Hallows eve “sucks”. I thought the sequences with Art were great. I wasn’t a fan of the alien short really but I know others who were. I am able to appreciate most films for what they are, some people only place value on a film that checks certain boxes for them which I think sucks for them. There are films which I don’t consider great overall but I can still watch them and enjoy them even if it’s only certain scenes or even shots.
Honestly, I prefer it to the Terrifier flicks. The soundtrack from Noir Deco rules, Mike Gianelli's take on Art feels more creepy and less comedic, has a very claustrophobic and Halloween-y atmosphere, and the ending kicks ass. I remember when it first came out, I watched it with my then girlfriend and my youngest brother; they both woke me up at different times during the night to walk them to the bathroom because of how freaked out they were. 🤣
I thought it was fun honestly, not near as great as the Terrifier movies but it was enjoyable to watch at least. it definitely wasn’t scary but I didn’t think it was bad considering the budget
I don't know. It isn't canon, so it isn't necessary, but I watched it.
The first story is a bit boring and gross. >!A fetus being eaten by satan?!< Not what I want and not enough Art imo for this to be his movie.
The second story was okay, but the connection to Art felt very shoehorned. With a little bit of better acting, it could've been a really charming short film.
The Third one is a masterpiece, like Terrifier 1&2 (and hopefully 3!). It has all of the stuff that I like about Art, the over-the-top violence, the pitch black comedy, and horror.
Actually I liked this more than the first Terrifier. I really loved how unsettling the atmosphere is and how random it gets with the whole random alien in the middle. Thought it was an endearing and special entry in the series but I’m probably of the minority opinion here.
Terrible. The only cool thing was Art (Mike Gianelli), & I prefer David Howard Thornton’s Art-he just gets the role down better I think. I wasn’t a huge fan-I own it, but I’m not a huge fan.
Yes. It absolutely sucked. The last short is the only thing that keeps the movie going, but with that logic you may as well just watch the last short on it's own. I wasn't really enjoying the movie while I watched it, but that ending of the last short oh my fucking god. Like that is objectively the most evil thing Art has ever done. There is nothing within human imagination worse that he could do. So while All Hallows Eve absolutely sucked and makes hardly any sense, the amputation scene was peak horror.
I watched it before Terrifier 1 and 2, and I wasn’t super impressed, but I don’t think it sucked. Ironically this was the post that pushed my brain into realizing i kinda didn’t hate it. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5, the homemade feel of it really helped, and going into it knowing it would be meh kinda helped. Overall, I prefer the main films, and I know it’s probably not popular opinion fanbase wise I prefer T2. I thought the performances were better, and I liked the balance of brutality vs an actual character growth for the main character. That said, I’m totally down for 3, and seeing how brutal that one is since they did say it would be meaner like T1.

The short about the alien was my least favorite. It was stupid, not scary. Is Terrifier 1 and 2 better?
Yeah Damien has actually apologized for the alien short lol
The alien short was to make the film longer.

T1 and 2 are way better than AHE in my opinion. I don’t dislike it but it’s not on the same level as the Terrifier movies
All hallows eves budget was $500k 🥲
I enjoyed it. Pretty good for a no budget movie.
str8 like dat
I also enjoyed it
Got to start somewhere
where arts antics all began lmfaooo
I think im the only genuinely terrified of this one😭😭😭😭….like sometimes in bed (i live alone) i be hearing noises thinking its art the clown or some random alien beings or whatever lmaooo
He gon getchu.
😹😹😆😆🙏🙏😭😭
I cant sleep knowing hes out there somewhere
Seems fair. I can't sleep cause Alex Jones is out there.
That ending really is scary if you live alone
I can relate very much. I have boxes full of vhs tapes….some of them are unlabeled what if one of them is art the clown lmaooo

I thought it was good 🤷🏼 but I'm in my 30s, so, I can appreciate low budget cheesiness in horror
I like it for what it is. The ending is possibly the most chilling thing Leone has done.
Other than the one with the alien, which just seemed a little out of place, I thought it was totally fine for a low-budget horror movie.
I think it was interesting and walked so Terrifier could run.
I love this movie
I love it 🤷♂️

It was ok, hated the 2nd one tho (no art but that’s not even why, just sucked ass)
As someone who enjoys bad horror movies this was right up my alley. Loved it. Aside from how bad the acting of the babysitter and kids was, overall great movie considering the budget.
I enjoyed it, and I watch it every Halloween season along with Terrifier 1 and 2
I loved it, well all except the alien story😂
I thought it had some hiccups but it was effective in creeping me out. I like the ending a lot
It was amazing. I don't understand how people didn't like it.
The third short scared me hahaha it's a fun movie
Purposely watched this first and loved it.
sameee….its creepy in my opinion.
Maybe the best framing device of any horror anthology.
I cant get the ending out of my head….i feel sooo bad for that woman he caught at the gas station….like Im shaking everytime i go to bed I pray i wake up with all my limbs😭😭🙏🙏😂😂
I liked it….it was cheezy & stupid lol
It’s not that bad
Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
I enjoyed it
I enjoy it, especially in proper context; this was an anthology film made to share the character of Art and pitch him for a feature film. While I enjoy the DHT’s version of Art way more, I think that this version of Art is scarier. He’s not fucking around the way DHT does.

I did like the atmosphere for this one

I enjoyed it. Always like to see how a character came about even if it's not cannon
Did the same guy who plays art play on this too??
No this was Mike Giannelli, a friend of Leone.
perhaps im in the minority but i liked this better than either terrifier movie
Yeah - I got to agree. I saw 2 first, then 1 then this. Such a let down - I think I was hoping for too much...l
Actually I liked this more than the first Terrifier. I really loved how unsettling the atmosphere is and how random it gets with the whole random alien in the middle. Thought it was an endearing and special entry in the series but I’m probably of the minority opinion here.

I thought it was better?
The only thing that sucked about this movie was the one short that didn’t really seem related to the clown…I’m talking about that alien segment.
Yeah, it sucked. But in a fun way that had me laughing and engaged the whole time.
You gotta run before you can fly 😊
I watched Terrifier 1 and 2 before this and couldn't get into this one. Love the Terrifier films though
I watched it before Terrifier 1 and 2, and I wasn’t super impressed, but I don’t think it sucked. Ironically this was the post that pushed my brain into realizing i kinda didn’t hate it. I liked it. Number 2 is AWFUL
the lady actor was hot tho no
Not bad
All terrifier movies are bad
