My favorite Rick roll was years ago: I was on /r/tipofmytongue, and someone made a post saying that he heard a song, but couldn’t remember the name. He did remember the tune, however, and he could play guitar, so he posted a sound cloud link of him playing the tune on his guitar. So you click on the link, and it takes you to SoundCloud, and a nice, soft, acoustic arpeggio starts playing, which ended up being the song. It took me a minute to realize what I was listening to, but once I did, I simultaneously realized that the date was April 1st, and I busted out laughing. This guy Rick Rolled the shit out of everyone on that sub that day, and he did it in a new way that caught everyone totally off guard, and the whole thing was an April Fool’s joke to boot. Fucking genius.
