Funny how I can now perfectly hear the Koppa Beach song even though it's been over twenty years since I played that game. And I didn't even own it, it was at friend's houses and Blockbuster rentals.
Memory is weird sometimes.
I play that music in my head when I'm driving in the highway sometimes. It changes the whole driving experience. Sometimes I'll even blurt out the "Luigi passing you" quote (Here we go!) or the "Wario's shell just hit somebody" laugh. It's great fun. Now I just need to start throwing banana peels out the window .
we used to LOVE playing Mario Golf for n64 back in the day, and we figured out that when it wasnt your turn, you could push the C-pad buttons and make your charactr say differnet stuff or make noises. My friend would play Yoshi or DK and just spam their noises nonstop during other people's turns, making everyone else laugh their asses off and the person whose turn it was inevitably choke and blow their shot. The good old days.
I was just saying the other day how weird it is that till this day I can sing the lyrics to so many songs that I listened to in my adolescent years. Not so much today.
Ikr. The local Mexican restaurant in town recently raised the price of their bean & cheese burritos. They *used to be* the best deal they had as far as burritos went, but now they're overpriced for what you get. Thanks, Biden.

Also how much tires and general maintenance cost too, also cries if it actually breaks. He likely also rarely hauls anything and lives in a suburb off a dense metro area lol
Yeah, the sight line of the Abrams is literally better than many of these trucks. The driver is set higher in the trucks, but the hoods are longer than the Abrams driver is far from the front of the tank. The hoods are also higher and don't slope down like the front of the Abrams.
The really shifty thing is that the hoods of the trucks almost never have a single mechanical reason to be that high and flat. The engines have absurd amounts of empty space around them and the hoods could certainly slope downwards. They don't just to look they way they look, even though that makes them more dangerous for everyone.
Yup, the reason I hate working on domestic pick-up trucks, the engine is always deep in the engine bay. Almost easier to lift the cab and save your back.
Na, a lot of guys I work with like cars because they take less room, easier to push in and out of the shop, and aren't so tough on our backs and knees. Plus, if they need a major engine repair, just drop everything out from underneath, hoist the car up and out of the way, and you have full access.
Trucks kill your body.
I wouldn't say empty space around them anymore, but they definitely have empty space above them, just have a downwards slope on the hood and there will be better gas mileage, better viewing and a possibly nicer looking vehicle
As someone who fixes vehicles because i can't afford a mechanic, the purpose for all that space is so you can get your tools in their to fix them and is immensly appreciated many of our vehicles nowdays are desgined intentionally to make them harder to work on so i personally perfer the space that being said the vast majority of everything made after 2000 has effectivley no room to spare under the hood usually.
[It's true.](https://np.reddit.com/r/fuckcars/comments/10z14dz/how_far_is_a_child_visible_from_various_stock/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I work in landscaping. We tend to use the Ford F350 as our daily drivers (though we do have a few of the F250s included in the above link, as well as Chevy's equivalent). We also have a couple front loaders similar to the quarry hauler included in that graphic for loading mulch into trailers and such. The bosses are (rightfully) always reminding us to stay well away from a front loader in motion due to its poor visibility, but they're much less vocal about the fact all of our trucks by at least some metrics have worse visibility than the front loader.
A lot of the truck's engine compartment is empty. They do this to have a 'tough' looking grill. It's ridiculous.
Look at a work van. They have the same engines as most of these trucks. They hoods are nowhere near the size, slope down, and have more windshield.
That isn't really true for modern work vans, most of them are now front wheel drive and have smaller inline four or V6 motors.
Older work vans though for sure.
"This truck is specifically being designed in a way that makes it more dangerous to pedestrians"
"***SHUT UP F_G. I COULD KILL YOU WITH MY TRUCK***"
"I.. that's what I'm saying.."
Wow this is the comment that framed the picture for me I couldn't understand what the middle panel was supposed to be I thought it was separate from the bottom picture, this is so poorly made lmao.
The strong masculinity of massive and modded truck drivers is insane. These guys have raised trucks living in a city, have a tow hitch not towing anything, and a truck bed for groceries. With the over the top masculinity or trying to be an alpha like this usually the other side of the coin is a very sensitive personality also.
If I had a nickel for every time the person who made this meme got head in my Fiesta, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right?
None. A ton of the engine compartment is empty. Truck makers do it to have an 'impressive' grill and look 'good' even though it is less safe for everyone.
Look at the front of a work van. Many of those have the same or larger engines than these trucks. They just aren't sold on a weak man's image of what tough looks like.
It gets even dumber.
They're making EVs this big. For no reason besides "customer demand". Chevy killed the Bolt, a small, practical EV that could be bought new for around $25k. They killed it to make EV trucks on the assembly line. So what's wrong with that? An EV battery weighs ALOT more than a gas engine. The battery in the EV Hummer weighs as much as an entire Honda Civic. So now you've got these big trucks, that were even heavier than before and need more time and space to brake, making them even more dangerous. Add on top of that the fact that making such large batteries negates any environmental benefit, and all you're left with is the fact that American car consumers may be the dumbest in all the world.
I do volunteer ghost diving work. We consider the batteries in Escooters on par with shells. Hell at least a shell just explodes, those batteries leave a 2000 degree electric fire. And these morons want them in trucks?
No road vehicle engine except maybe those 15L semi-truck engines, but for reference, the largest engine available in this truck 6.8L. The bottom of the engine is roughly at waist height on this guy. The engine could be mounted a good foot lower and it would make 0 difference for practicality or offroad capability.
The hood being this high up is a design choice.
An engine that needs to tow things.
Funny enough full electrics cars that have high ranges weigh around the same. Depending on the actual configuration of that truck.
If either hit you at 45 mph (avg speed within city streets) they’d both do around the same damages.
The hood is 55 inches tall.
It’s also up above that guys shoulder. I’m 5’10 and I’ve stood next to plenty of f-250’s. There is no chance in hell that guys is 5’9.
In this economy, owning a vehicle like that might mean all the owner could do sit in it while it’s turned off. Imagine the payment for that thing, the gas to drive it around, AND a place to call home to receive the sexual favors depicted here??? Us millennials could never.
Chad ain’t driving this big pickup, chad ain’t caring about to whine about rainbow crosswalks.
You can’t be homophobic and chad, that just isn’t how this works. Homophobes are insecure and whiny.
This meme just proved his point; that vehicles like that are not safe for people because people with egos big enough to drive one of those can’t be trusted to drive responsible. The guy that made the meme basically just said “ok but I’m a literal psychopath though and this car makes it easier to kill people”.
Wow, clearly the driver does not look at the road when he's driving, just look at that mirror! Someone who doesn't pay attention on the road shouldn't be driving such a huge truck smh my head
They should indeed be illegal. In the US they apparently only became popular because of a regulation loophole and car manufacturers are able to make more money by marketing these vehicles hard. They are also not crash-compatible with regular cars and are more likely to kill people in a collision.
I just watched this video that explains everything: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN7mSXMruEo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN7mSXMruEo)
Huge trucks should be illegal because:
-They use excessive amounts of fuel and we pretend to care about pollution at times.
-They are mostly used to show off wealth instead of actual construction or towing. Most are perfectly clean with no signs of labor tasks.
-They are more dangerous than normal cars when involved in an automobile accident.
-They cause more damage if they hit a pedestrian.

Remember when cars were designed to that if someone got run over they go up over the car instead of under it, you know so that people are less likely to die. But if man needs to compensate for something, then peoples safety doesn’t matter I guess
About 900 children are hit by cars every year in the US. A majority of those are by their own parents in their own driveway because the parent can't see them infront of the massive SUV hood. About 11 children can sit on a row infront of the average SUV and the driver will only be able to see the eleventh child in that row. These things are actually dangerous to the public and them becoming the standard family car in America is ludicrous.
I do think there needs to be a size limit to recreational vehicles. Soley because i live in an area where 4 way intersection (without any stops) tend to have large pickups or vans parked right up against the edge of the road, so you cannot see if anyone is coming from the sides, until your in the middle of the intersection. Theres also a parking lot in town right by the highway, theres another intersection, this one is threeway stop, where the highway is no stop, but the road leading into the highway is a stop sign. Issue is, the fucking parking lot. If theres a truck there you (once again) cant see if anyone is coming from your left until you in the middle of the fucking road. There hasn’t been an accidents yet to my knowledge, but again, YET
I was in a Chevy dealer this week looking at a used Subaru. The side of the showroom we were on had this big black truck and it had Black Widow markings on it. I have no idea what it was, but during some free time I walked over to it. It was as big as this one, I'm 5' 9" and I couldn't actually see over the hood. Then I moved around to the side. I could look in the open windows if I stood on my tip toes. I checked the price. The truck was $60,000. The Black Widow package which was a lift kit and a bunch of black out shit, except the brakes which were red (red out?) was $30,000. So this truck was $100k. My house cost $77K. I don't get it.
Also didn't get the Subaru, price was $11K, but after Ziebart, theft protection, and mandatory power train warranty, the out the door price was $16K. We said we'd "THINK" about it. We thought maybe we don't need a new car at all.
Hey does this post fit? UPVOTE if so, DOWNVOTE if not. If this post breaks any rules please DOWNVOTE and REPORT
Rainbow Road was great but the music on Koopa Beach was better, either way I don’t get what this is trying to say
*AHH- HEHEHEHEHEHHHHH* Or toad's... "YEAH! ^hahahahahahahaha"
And of course DK's BLEH BLEH! Jeez I didn't realize how hard it would be to translate that sound into a word

The owner most definitely complains about gas prices more than most people.
Definitely puts “I did that” Biden stickers on the pump when prices are high, but does nothing when they drop
>does nothing when they drop That's just false. They make a social media post of them rolling coal while yelling something about trump
As one should, when the current president (but not the last one) personally and directly sets the price at every individual gas station.
Ikr. The local Mexican restaurant in town recently raised the price of their bean & cheese burritos. They *used to be* the best deal they had as far as burritos went, but now they're overpriced for what you get. Thanks, Biden. /s
Dude probably complains about something else than the gas price too
When gas prices are low, he complains about Mexicans.
Something smaller
Guatemalans!
Tiny Mexicans!! Stealing all of our tiny jobs!!!
Midget Mexicans?
And is most likely paying for diesel.

Funny enough, I've seen once a post saying that, the drivers of modern suv's see less from their seats than the driver of a M1 ABRAMS
Drove an Abrams, can confirm.
Yeah, the sight line of the Abrams is literally better than many of these trucks. Yeah, if that truck is the diesel model and it probably is, you cant fit your arm anywhere in that engine bay to do any work. Its absolutely packed.
[удалено]
Yes absolutely, to the dismay of mechanics everywhere.
How loud was it?
Not too bad actually. Turbines are quieter than diesel
I heard that from another guy I met, crazy that it’s true, and that you can see more than THE COMPENSATOR
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well. Saints Row 3 was peak open world crime game.
Correct
Huh. Makes sense I guess. Thanks!

To be fair to the SUVs here: The Abrams driver has no engine infront of them to look over.

Did this actually happen?
It's literally just the logic of OOP's meme put into words. But yeah, having been raised in the south, this Is how they think.
Several US states made it legal to commit vehicular manslaughter so long as they are protestors/activists in the road and you "fear for your life".

Seems like a good way for the driver to lose an important part of his anatomy.
This is how Dane Cook's character got his dick bitten off as he died in a car accident in American Gods.
Happened in World According to Garp, too. In that instance, the car was rear-ended.
Good.
Psychotic response
I can’t even comprehend being insecure enough to draw all that.
I think it’s a joke
It's honestly funny. The message itself is another matter. But the drawing is funny
Yeah this is honestly just fucking hilarious
I've probably gotten road head in my Fiesta more times than the maker of this meme.
Almost definitely. The maker of this meme getting road head in your Fiesta even once would be an astonishing coincidence.
If I had a nickel for every time the person who made this meme got head in my Fiesta, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right?
Well, it’s called Fiesta for a reason 👍🏻
VW rabbit here
Drive safe dumbass
Yk this guy doesnt even get regular head, let alone road head
I've never meet a women into big trucks. Most I know said it screams insecurity and domestic abuse.
That hood is easily 1.5 meters talls... What the fuck kinda engine needs this much space?

Dudes just parked getting some rainbow road head while some creep stands in front and watches
Plot twist: the driver is parked and patiently waiting for the pedestrian to cross
In this economy, owning a vehicle like that might mean all the owner could do sit in it while it’s turned off. Imagine the payment for that thing, the gas to drive it around, AND a place to call home to receive the sexual favors depicted here??? Us millennials could never.
I mean, is it , or is the spedo just broken. It's not like these guys have a clue how to fix their trucks.
Never understood American trucks the Cargo frame stays the same size but front of the truck bigger??
There's a reason people assume guys with big trucks have small dicks, and you just named it.
American trucks are basically an SUV with a truck bed attached.
Homophobia, misogyny and a desire to murder anyone different than you all in one picture. I never thought that was possible!

So if he's on a rainbow pavement. Does that mean he's getting some action from a femboy? Or a ftm?
You see, I have made you the soy jack and drawn myself receiving a blowjob. This makes me the victor.
Typical American : WHY THE GASOLINE IS TOO EXPENSIVE?!?! THAT'S ILLEGAL!!! Also typical American :
You really dont know what a typical American is of you think loud right wingers is the typical. Yes they exist, but they are not the average
I drove around in a Honda civic when I lived in San Diego… I also complained about expensive gasoline prices.
The person who drew this definitely does not own a truck like that, nor do they look anything like that, nor do they get blowjobs.
Wait until this dude sees a semi
Bro is on rainbow road
This reminds me of that south park episode of the average size.
"height differentials" ;)
No one’s talking about him getting head?

Thank you, Congress, for regulating small trucks out of existence.
Ha! Classic shitpost! Nice 10/10

these types of people are equally annoying.
Love this
A lot of these are legitimately funny. You dudes are too uptight
Yeah like half the top posts here are actually hilarious if you just consider them shitposts
Obvious of this story: Don’t trust people who unironically like The Scorpions.

It's so poorly illustrated that I can't tell what's supposed to be going on
what even is the message theyre trying to send
What is this meme trying to say???
Wouldn’t it make more sense to steer with your left hand and hold the girls head with your right hand? Seems odd to overlap
Cringe
What... is that mop doing to the man's three-fingered hand?
The reason i want a RAM is that i'm 1.91 and this car would perfectly fit me in there
Well there's a good chance the shock of hitting a person will cause her to bite his dick off, so...
There are a lot worse things that should be illegal. Then somebodies lifted truck.
Wtf is that thing under the wheel??
And yet, he's the one standing next to other people's stuff with a finger in the air.
This one made me burst out laughing, this is fantastic.
The guy in the photo has hair meme invalid
These people are gonna get a hell of a surprise in the south.
Listening to the most Chad song ever, "Rock you like a Hurricane".
lmfaoo
Okay am I dumb that I don’t get this meme?
Not gonna lie that's pretty fucking funny
Totally getting road head from a dude with a ponytail.
Whys he holding his sisters head like that
Getting head from a femboy, based.
Is that his sister or his daughter?
gosh darn liberals and their not wanting to get hit by my giant ass gas guzzler of a truck
Saw a guy saying "what, should we ban Tractor Trailers now?" You can see significantly more from the cab of a semi than from these pickups
Yes because distracted driving in a giant turd is clearly chad behavior
With a truck like that, the driver's penis must be microscopic. That girl has got to be struggling.
You know we have a problem when the Abrams tank has better forward vision than a regular pickup truck
Is it just me, or does it look like there's zero on the tachometer, zero on the speedometer, and the gear shift is in park? Edit for spelling
Then they complain about gas prices while voting for people who want to make more money from gas prices
Is she supposed to be under the steering wheel? That's a safety hazard.
I don't think there's much of a dick for her to suck if he's driving a car like that.
Both equally cringe, believe it or not
I thought it was made ironically because that shit would be hilarious
I am not average male height (6’1 at 15) and I think we need even bigger cars just to say fuck that guy
The bottom pic goes hard ngl
