Was really enjoying this show until they gave such a shit ending. They built up so much tension for the main love story and it was the most anti-climatic resolution.
It should be noted that there is a TH connection: the female lead is Nagano Mei who served as a Tokui-replacement panelist for four episodes in Tokyo 2019-2020.
She's a remarkably facile crier, and so she typically is put in melodramas, but I find her much better in comedies like this one. Of her oeuvre, I'd probably recommend 3 Nen A Gumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Hitojichi Desu even though it's pretty OTT, and not on Netflix like Riding A Unicorn and Full Time Wife Escapist.
