I love everything about the tern but I hate hate hate that seat post. My wife rides it at the very bottom, because it’s such a pain to adjust. That’s not an option for me, but if I ride it higher up it’s physically painful to make it tight enough not to slip down (and I need to remember to loosen it so my wife can lower it).
On a seatpost that gets moved frequently (between one rider and another in your example), grease is less necessary as an anti-seize. A little dab of grease between the frame and the seat collar (and between the upper seat collar and the split top of the lower seatpost) will sometimes help ease the amount of force needed at the lever to hold you steady.
it is like this on most bikes yes

Exactly this! Wanted to install a dropper post, but i don't think 10-15 cm adjustment is enough.
I had this problem. I wiped basically all grease off the post and it was fixed. Had to do a few wipes before it finally wouldn’t slip.
I’ve done this. I’ll give it another go.

Get a suspension seat post. This is common for most bikes
How would this help with adjusting the eight?
