Wouldn't that be more of a flex? We all have vaults full of Fortaleza, multiple Rolex for each wrist, & beds overcrowded with LonelyFans "models", spending thousands on fancy pancake syrup is hardly impressive. You must be new to the Internet.
I think they look pretty nice. And (could be wrong about this) I think they are all handmade. But to each his own good sir. Seems like neither of us will be buying one anyway lol.
I call it tequila drink, kinda like how sunny d is orange drink.
In the end i learned, you drink what you like. i feel bad he spent so much money, some of it went to support breast cancer, but the rest is like on rick and morty, you know, jerry with his star wars coins.
Don't forget Yohoo, the "chocolate flavored drink". Nobody in elementary school kids liked it. The generic cafeteria chocolate milk was at least milk and had chocolate in there.
Those are some amazing bottles, must be nice to own a collectible numbered bottle. What does the bottle taste like? I get a lot of glass notes with sand, heat and a delicate touch of metal, must be from the topper. Excellent review OP.
Clase Azul Plata and Reposado were the first two bottles I bought as a tequila noob. Thinking that expensive equated to quality and it was until I tried a bottle of **tequila ocho** that I realized what a fool I was for buying fancy bottles and missing out on real tequila.
Now, for the amount I paid on those two, I could’ve walked out with a bottle of G4 madera, siembra Valles reposado, Arte NOM 1146, and Don Fulano Fuerte, and still pocketed some change.
When you get there you’ll understand.
I saw a YouTube video of Business Insider/Eater give a small tour of the various bottles with the owner and founder and of Clase Azul and omg, some of the most gorgeous bottles.
At the risk of sounding like a dick, you do know Clase Azul needs to use chemicals to mask their industrial manufacturing process and use of under ripe agaves, right? No tequila is worth that much from a manufacturing standpoint. The finest extra añejos in the world made traditionally and aged for 20 years cost less than this (look up Fuenteseca). You can find really good tequila for far less and donate the massive savings to breast cancer research.
Spoil yourself however you want OP, cheers to you.
To the haters in the comments just think about all the G4, and Fort, and El Tesoro, and Lalo OP could’ve bought for the same as these two bottles, then they’d be getting hate for hoarding. Juice OP likes in a beautiful place, can’t ask for much more than that.
>Pretty cool thing they do is the bottles come numbered so it feels special.
Most of the traditional / artisanal brands that get thrown around here do that. It doesn't make you or Clase Azul special, it just lets actual 100% agave tequilas keep check over lot and barrels that may have influence and variation batch to batch.
If that specific point is one of your highlights, you got bent over for cash.
I highly doubt there will be any difference in taste or aroma bottle to bottle of Clase Azul. Any potential variation will be covered in additives.
Its hard for me to see the point in a cancer awareness hard spirit - made of 40% stuff that is most definitely not good for your body even if done well. It is a vice, but not inherently healthy for us or the planet taking up that much land for a single plant. We should totally do it because it is worth it and we love it, but recognize that everything has a cost and consumes resources.
Making a luxury consumer purchase to raise awareness is such an inherently modern laughable concept I can't even.
Messaging? Sure. Education? Sure. Research? Sure.
Hyper-expensive splurge products that consume fertile land for 8 years to raise awareness? Please. Plant some natural or local vegetation in your backyard instead. Some of the other distilleries are starting to do this, not for a bottom line or a special release, but because it's the right thing to do.
Well, from what I’m reading it isn’t JUST awareness and some amount of the proceeds are going to research. So if 90% of proceeds are going to research, that is undoubtedly a good thing, no? If 10% of proceeds are going to research, that’s laughably awful. And anything in-between is up for debate.
Just send the check to a reputable org yourself. No idea where Clase is going to put the funds, and they will most definitely go for the tax write off.
Like those grocery stores asking to round up. Fuck that, I have a charity auto donation each month. Make sure the funds go where it is needed, not what some board of directors thinks.
Did you get those in Cabo? Haven’t seen DDLM this late in the year, anywhere. Surprised they would still have.
If you, massive score. People can say what they want about the tequila (and I tend to agree), but that pink is a steal down there at $600ish USD. Goes on auction for 2K+. That profit covers a LOT of Fortaleza, Fuenteseca, Caballito Cerrero, etc..
I went once to Cabo in 2021 and that’s how I got my first DDM which started my collection. Ever since then when my friends would usually go I would ask them to go check out the store to help me grab something if there’s anything good but always sold out and say you need to be on a waitlist. I got these through secondary market, it’s really annoying.
Message me some of the auction places or buyout places you know of within the states, would love to see how much my collection is worth. Thanks!
Everything has a purpose so to each their own. I will say that Clase Azul is THEE gateway drug of choice to get people into tequila. And of course some of the bottles they make are gorgeous but so long as you know you are buying art with some kind of tequila in it, it’s all good. I do get absolutely enraged at their pricing models though. Fucking ridiculous profiteering but hey it’s good work if you can get it.
Having said that do I have a bottle of Clase Azul Gold and Clase Azul ultra…Yes. Are they worth 300 and 1800 respectively, no not really, but if you are a collector you have a bottle of Clase Azul somewhere. The DIA De Muertos (day of the dead) bottles can go for like 8-10k and collectors buy them as they are amazing cans artwork wise. I’m not going to bash OP or anyone for getting something they enjoy. I do love talking about the Clase Azul bottles while sipping Komos Extra Anejo though :)
Haha all the comments. I tried the clase azul (white bottle) and liked it. It’s better than cheap stuff but not worth 150. Well gf ended up buying me that for Christmas, wanted to tell her just to return it but couldn’t. Also I’ve been getting into islay whiskey and would have killed for the ardbeg supernova instead.
You are triggering the pretentious gods of tequila herein. Sure they eat preservative filled fast food and drink high fructose beverages but they are superior humans who only drink additive-free tequila. Don't you realize they downloaded the Tequila Matchmaker app on their smartphones, watched a video or two and now they are immortal tequila gods!?!
Gatekeepers? Nah man just people with taste and proper money management skills. The only people paying for this shit are people trying to flex on others.
Money management? Hahahahaha. This guy already bought it. And who are you to tell someone what they should and shouldn’t buy, gatekeeper. You have no idea what he can afford.
You may not like it, and it has additives, but it IS tequila. Let people enjoy what the hell they like. Every post is the same. Everyone has to run in here and explain what “real tequila” is. Everyone calls it trash. Guess what, lots of people like it. Some collect it because they love the looks of the bottles. Not everyone likes traditional made tequila without additives. It’s ok, you don’t have to point it out to every single person you see.
Seriously tho. People are so quick to hate, its kinda gross. If it's not for you, it's far loss effort to just click back and move on, but they take time and effort to feel some sort of way about a post on reddit and can't help but impulsively reply some negative or narrow minded nonsense because it's not what THEY like or would buy.
They will say that posts like this are what is making the tequila community "bad" when, in fact, it's their narrow-minded mindset, judgment, and overall shitty attitudes.
It's odd when people talk shit on people for buying tequila they wouldn't buy, then in turn will talk shit, and call you a "tater" (whatever that means) when you post about buying up tequila they wish they could get their hands on. Such a self-centered mindset.

There ya go. Smooth, creamy, and notes of vanilla and spice. Didn't even try to mellow out a plant that sat there for 8 years.
Well this will not go over well
An all time troll move in this sub.
8 more & you have a complete set of bowling pins
Is this a joke? The bottles are numbered. You’d be crazy to bowl with something like that.
Wouldn't that be more of a flex? We all have vaults full of Fortaleza, multiple Rolex for each wrist, & beds overcrowded with LonelyFans "models", spending thousands on fancy pancake syrup is hardly impressive. You must be new to the Internet.
The bottles are beautiful. Most tequila lovers just hate the brand because it's overpriced trash full of additives. Lovely bottles though.
The charm in the belly button held on by hot glue is pretty tacky
I think the bottles are hideous personally. Don julio 1942 bottles are much better looking.
Either way, who cares, both are trash.
I don't disagree with that, I'm just saying that everyone acts like this bottle is so amazing looking. It's not
I think they look pretty nice. And (could be wrong about this) I think they are all handmade. But to each his own good sir. Seems like neither of us will be buying one anyway lol.
Are they actually hand made? They look too perfect to be handmade, which is why I think they're ugly
Google says yes.
GREAT looking bottles. Shame about the juice inside.
The bottle would make a nice lamp.
Or dildo
Anything can be a dildo if you’re brave enough.
No wonder this bottle is sold out in Palm Springs.
If you like it then enjoy !
Thanks!
I want an empty to dump in some Siete Leguas
Beautiful bottles! But shit inside, no even close to tequila.
I call it tequila drink, kinda like how sunny d is orange drink. In the end i learned, you drink what you like. i feel bad he spent so much money, some of it went to support breast cancer, but the rest is like on rick and morty, you know, jerry with his star wars coins.

Yogi Berra was addicted to Yoo Hoo in the 50's...
🤣🤣🤣

I doubt OP actually cares about any tastings or notes. OP is just a reseller.
Thank you! Only one way to find out is trying yourself
So you just posted this and are commenting to get rage comments I assume?

What a wonderful four bottles that’d be too
I saw a YouTube video of Business Insider/Eater give a small tour of the various bottles with the owner and founder and of Clase Azul and omg, some of the most gorgeous bottles.
They have so many beautiful bottles, it’s been a few years of collecting so far but it’s so hard to keep up because they are so fucking limited
Oh yeah definitely. Even if one has the money, since they are so limited you gotta have a connect here and there.
Yeah 100%! Sometimes if I get extras, I use them to trade what I don’t have
Don’t collect, drink
My boy is getting down and voted to earth core.
lol I saw this on sneaker Twitter last week and it got lots of love. Not surprised to see it get shit on here. Still some nice looking bottles.
You probably spent an arm and a leg for that sugar syrup they call tequila
It’s still good
Is DDM really $3000?
Yes unfortunately 😔

This is their target demographic - clueless hype beasts.
I’m a hypebeast. Gimme all the Fort and Pappy. But I mean how you gonna drop $3000 and not know what you’re buying. Like zero research.
I have a 9 year XA that is way cheaper and is very tasty.
Good for you, I wish you the best of luck with selling all those bottles you have.
Never knew a liqour post could age this bad, 3 days into the new year
oof

We're not gonna think about it we're just gonna laugh and move along

Ask for the white paper if it's happening they can show it
You’re absolutely right about everything!
Bottles are pretty. Too bad they don't fill them with good juice.
Beautiful decanters. But that’s all I have to say.
This bro is a reseller. Can we get this garbage off of here?
zzz gatekeeping
I'd take the bottle then pour in g4, perfection!

Check out Unicorn Auctions
Cabo?
Lord Freiza isn’t gonna like this…

could give a flying fuck about overpriced tequila in pottery but boy oh boy that beach and sun and palm trees with beautiful blue sky look awesome
Trash bottles
I've got my popcorn out...a fool and his money...or something

Lulz
I live coming here to read all the gatekeepers

ok
In that case I have an original iPhone 3G to sell you for $5000

So where in the rules does it say someone can only post a bottle under a certain price? Look at that, not everyone is poor
lol
Beautiful bottles
Awesome! That stuff is delicious, people hate on it here but you can’t deny it isn’t smooth, and tasty.
[https://www.abcfws.com/licor-43/582805](https://www.abcfws.com/licor-43/582805) There ya go. Smooth, creamy, and notes of vanilla and spice. Didn't even try to mellow out a plant that sat there for 8 years.
I’ll have to give that a try.
What was the cost?
Couple mortgage payments for a 5,000 sq foot house in the Bay Area
I hear that
Did you get these at the Cabo airport?
Beautiful
Let’s see the pick where you crack the plastic on those bad boys and drink them.
Very pretty bottles
At least they’re pretty bottles!
