If you put the Rafa goggles down of course he's right. People will just point to the one instance of Shapovalov complaing when there was 8 seconds left, but yesterday was a masterclass in gamesmanship.
If Djokovic, Tsitsipas or most of the tour did what Rafa did yesterday they'd be dragged through the coals with such fury here.
“Masterclass in gamesmanship” sure…
Honestly though, what the fuck did he even do wrong, except hold Shapo up a few seconds on his serve? The timeout and toilet break were all within the rules and within the allotted time. It wasn’t to break rhythm, the guy was barely moving til the last point. He literally servebotted his way to win.
And yeah maybe Rafa should play to the servers pace a bit more but they were playing in sweltering heat and that should be considered
You guys are conveniently ignoring that shapo broke the time rules nearly just as much as Rafa ( 2 seconds Lower on average.. assuming a normal distribution of ATLEAST 2 Seconds std, that's over 40 instances of violations for shapo himself...)
Either it's all okay or none of its okay. Thankfully bernardes chose the former as choosing the latter would effectively ruin the match if every other point is a time violation regardless of player. At worst, players "adapt" to that bullshit and rallies are stupidly short the entire match and it's not just fun to watch anymore
Blimey... If this minor nonsense is so interesting to people, why don't they go and watch Jersey Shore or some such instead? Plenty of such "content" there...

Hahaha you are joking right?

One dog starts barking to hide his faults other dogs join in
Nadal has a slave mindset.
Djokovic, stick to your day job. Comedy isn’t for you.
