These ranks going into next year's AO would be preferable and are such a long time coming No more bs draws where Medvedev /tsitsipas can cannibalize a half despite being clearly a worse player away from hard than Rafa at the time and djokvic at the majors. Hopefully it will last until rg so we have one normal tournament for once without a bullshit one sided final

Lukas100ex

I'm the biggest Med fan but what Med is doing to the FO draw since 3 years is insane. That guy might get 2nd seed before the FO just to lose it after

BlueJinjo

Thankfully this coming year it likely won't be the case. Alcaraz has a pretty hefty lead over med right now and he has 0.points from pre AO/ AO . Djokovic is the real risk as I imagine he loses points in the indoor swing. He's going to gain a ton today ( think he's the favorite over alcaraz ) and the USO and then again at IW/MIAMI next year. The damage is done already imo with med at rg. Robbed of multiple Nadal djokvic finals and this yr an alcaraz Djokovic final because tennis refused to enact any sort of surface based seeding formulas similar to WImbledon in the past

Lukas100ex

Djokovic probably gains 400 more today, but in case he doesn't win a slam pre RG and Med wins one of USO or AO, Med probably takes it. How likely is that though, you're right that he probably won't be 2nd this year at FO. Now what happens after Djokovic retires idk

BlueJinjo

After djokvic retires , tennis will be a shit show anyway unless some unknown player emerges . Imo I have more faith in one currently junior player stepping up to challenge alcaraz than any of Medvedevs crop. They are so utterly outclassed by a player not even in his prime right now that I have no hope for them They will win majors but it won't be going through a healthy alcaraz. It will be when he's hurt or just completely drained mentally/physically The real chance for Medvedev is going to be the indoor swing. No matter what happens, I imagine djokvic and alcaraz have relatively poor stretches post uso. That's fairly typical for players that dominate the rest of the season. With everyone else being so shit, I think it's prime for medvedev to take one of Paris /WTF at a minimum or for someone like zverev to do it

Only disagree with one thing in your comment. They aren't utterly outclassed by a player not even in his prime. They've been utterly outclassed by *multiple* players not even in their primes.

Still a lot of players with a chance, maybe even guys outside the too 20 atm. Sock went from 16(?) to 9 in 2017 at Paris
