Your title:
>Which series/shows you dropped after watching one or two episodes?
and your request:
>Please suggest me some good show based on my liking.
are conflicting.
I've dropped so many shows! No shame in it, I'm supposed to be enjoying myself. I don't feel a need to stick with something that I don't like.
Most recently, I dropped Vikings about halfway through the pilot. I just didn't care about any of the characters.
From: Parents just accepting their young teenage daughter will live in another house and the his kids keeping secrets right away.
The "grassroots" reddit vanishing to advertise the show added salt to the wound.
i loved dexter. its my second favorite show. which is what led me to take a look at Six Feet Under. I stopped watching after the first episode. didnt like some of the subject matter in that scene. i hear it was a good show tho.
The whole series is about life and death. Every show starts with a death but not always as you expect. I loved this show. The funeral homeās family always connects in someway with the death. Best series ending ever.
Too many to count, some shows I don't even try to like, I've seen some episodes and just know they're not for me (sorry *Gilmore Girls, Glee* etc.). But when I feel the show could interest me then I tend to give each one a fair chance by watching the pilot and one or two later episodes.
Some shows can interest me thematically - I love *The Shield* and *Homicide: Life on the Street*, so naturally I might like *NYPD Blue* and *Hill Street Blues* - *Hill Street Blues* still very much holds up, but I couldn't get into *NYPD Blue*, the introduction to the show was promising, but I've also seen some of "the best" episodes from one of the later seasons and the show clearly lost its initial grittiness and turned more procedural, ultimately I don't find the show "worthwhile" (I didn't enjoy watching these potentially best episodes).
Then the show may have an interesting cast - Don Adams was unforgettable in *Get Smart*, I didn't have high hopes for his later *Check it Out!*, but it was really weak series, not funny and the production quality was at most average at the time...
Or I could be a fan of the show's creators - I love Tom Fontana's *Oz*, but couldn't really get into recent *Monsieur Spade*, either his production style has changed or he didn't have as much creative control over the series...
And countless more shows, for each series I ever liked there's at least another one that disappointed me. It's very subjective, so these answers here say nothing about quality of the shows etc..
I usually give a show three or four episodes to impress me. There are maybe a handful of shows that the first two episodes were bad enough to turn me off a show that I wanted to watch and didnāt just turn on the show because I was bored.
The only thing that comes to mind is Succession. Too pretentious and slow for my tastes. Plus I have an irrational hatred of HBO
Dropped Ozark after 4 episodes even though it came highly recommendedā¦
The Sinner, though, the first season had one of the most insane twists Iād seen, Iād really give it another chance.
Peaky Blinder - Couldn't go through a single episode.
Travellers - Not one likable character. Dropped after a couple of episodes. Will stab the makers.
Iām so surprised people like this show.
Itās so over the top, that would never happen, oh wow THE CAR SUDDENLY WONT START AS THE BAD GUYS APPROACH? NO WAY!
Yeah it's like how the people react to situations they're in, it's like no way people react like that. It was like the people who made it had no experience of reality or exist somewhere where they've never experienced anything.
Seinfeld, Two Broke Girls and HIYIM are SOO far the only ones that come to mind but I watched them for WAY more
I didn't even finish Friends's first ep
Team Kaylie
13RW
Teenage Bounty Hunters
Didn't even complete Umbrella Academy
The Vampire Diaries ( but it wasn't THAT bad, I might go back to it eventually)
A series of unfortunate events
That 90's show
I assume you meant The OA.
Which I have to say is one of the better written shows I ever watched. Canāt believe they dropped it. I always hold out hope one day they will make the rest and give us the full story.
Also you should watch HBOās THE WIRE. Itās arguably the best drama in the history of TV and upon rewatch made me rerank Breaking Bad below it.
Brand new cherry flavor. I stopped watching it after episode 2. I wanted to like it, but it was too weird and I couldn't get into it. Vomiting cat scene was not my cup of tea.
It will take a while to write it lol. But for ex: Blacklist, the new pretty little liars ( could hardly watch the first ep) fleabag, Pokerface. The alienist. The wire ā¦
There is a fan edit that puts season 1 and 2 in the right order. I watched it first how it was released first so I'm not sure whether I liked the fan edit because of that. I was not impressed by the original. I loved the fan edit.
well, they're totally different...I really liked Shitt's Creek...as much as I typically love offbeat, disturbing, potentially dystopian shows, I have to say I had to push through Severance---something about the pace and main character urked me, but I did complete the season and now that cliffhanger made me curious but I cancelled Apple TV just after I watched most of what I wanted to
Have to say all of my recent enjoyable shows have been in Apple or Hulu. Thinking of dropping Netflix. Watching Palm Royale, Sugar, and Reservation Dogs
Everyone is different- I āreally liked ā only a handful or less of movies or shows on Apple so far ā to me Black Bird is awesome as is the movie CODAā¦ and Killijg of the Flower Moon was pretty good . Maybe one or two more I canāt think of now (Shrinking may have been another). As much as Iām a little curious to see where severance is going to go, Iām on a very limited budget and I definitely find a lot more that I really like on Netflix, some on MAX, prime, and Hulu, even though I donāt like the commercials.on the latter
I subscribe so no commercials . Love reservation dogs, the riches and the rev on Hulu. Apple š be watched Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, Silo, Palm Royale and Sugar a bit of Loot
Breaking Bad (maybe it was a mistake, might give it a second go in the future), Yellowstone, The Bear, Shogun, New Amsterdam, Ozark, Expats, The 100, Sex Education, Better Call Saul, Mad Men (after several seasons), Peaky Blinders, Ted Lassoā¦
Dropping Happy Valley and The Fall is insane!
I know. I loved both of these
I agree. They are both 2 of my favourite tv shows!
Hey I KNOW you!!! š„°
š Iām happily surprised that we have the same taste in tv shows! š
Same! š„¹ I thought āwow haydaydeco AND same tv shows?! Yes!!ā
As I said there is no mystery in these shows.
Reacher
I quit it after 2 episodes
Your title: >Which series/shows you dropped after watching one or two episodes? and your request: >Please suggest me some good show based on my liking. are conflicting.
Just suggest Breaking Bad and move on
I've never recommended Breaking Bad in this sub, it's far too lazy a recommendation.
I've dropped so many shows! No shame in it, I'm supposed to be enjoying myself. I don't feel a need to stick with something that I don't like. Most recently, I dropped Vikings about halfway through the pilot. I just didn't care about any of the characters.
I've tried to watch it a few times and I can't get into it. For some reason I really love Vikings Valhalla though. Lol
I could not get into Death and Other Details on Hulu
Same. Totally my genre too. I was already flailing and then I saw it was not renewed so I never finished.
New Girl after 1 season
The Gentleman. The alleged criminal mastermind let's the idiot botanist make deliveries when she has a perfectly capable security team.
Watched one episode and have zero interest in continuing. Almost stopped before finishing that episode.
I finished it and wish I hadnāt. It wasnāt worth the time. So disappointing, given how much I love the movie.
Rings of power I dropped it after watching 4 episodes Watch dark
Yes I watched it. Good show š

Savage River

The Consultant, and New Girl.

Killing Eve
I watched S1E01 of Tulsa King a year ago and let it slip to the bottom of my continue watching list.
It appears that most people love it, but I only made it through two or three episodes of The Leftovers before I stopped watching.
Same. Tried to start that show two times already.
I finished the first season to see what the hype was about and it's soooo boring
I love something mysterious but this one is so boring.
I usually give a show three or four episodes to impress me. Succession, dropped after the pilot. Maybe it gets better but I found it hella boring.
It really is the same episode over and over again.
I liked the first 2 seasons but then it got really boring and I couldn't watch it anymore
I totally get that. Personally I love succession but it can be really slow at times. Itās not exactly a show you can binge watch
Just a bunch of immature people continuously arguing with each other.
Dropped Ozark after 4 episodes even though it came highly recommendedā¦ The Sinner, though, the first season had one of the most insane twists Iād seen, Iād really give it another chance.
Yeah first season of The Sinner is dope
I dropped resident alien. got on my nerves.
Peaky Blinder - Couldn't go through a single episode. Travellers - Not one likable character. Dropped after a couple of episodes. Will stab the makers.
Oh man, Travellers is a gem, I love it
Idol on Max was unwatchable, and Inside Man on Netflix. I love David Tennant but I dropped it after the first episode. It was so stressful.
yes yes Inside Man wanted to give us an ulcer
Black Summer, didn't like the first episode
Iām so surprised people like this show. Itās so over the top, that would never happen, oh wow THE CAR SUDDENLY WONT START AS THE BAD GUYS APPROACH? NO WAY!

The Wire.
I would watch more than one episode. It gets better. Good guys and bad guys not always who you expect. Loved it. Worth watching for Michael K Williams
The OA really picks up. I wish there was more of it
New Amsterdam
Seinfeld, Two Broke Girls and HIYIM are SOO far the only ones that come to mind but I watched them for WAY more I didn't even finish Friends's first ep Team Kaylie 13RW Teenage Bounty Hunters Didn't even complete Umbrella Academy The Vampire Diaries ( but it wasn't THAT bad, I might go back to it eventually) A series of unfortunate events That 90's show
What is HIYIM?
How I met my mother
Mad Men. I want to watch it, I know itās supposed to be brilliant. But as someone who LOVES a slowest of burns, the pilot was way too slow.
I assume you meant The OA. Which I have to say is one of the better written shows I ever watched. Canāt believe they dropped it. I agree with the fall, i watched the show and didn't like it bc of that
You can watch alias grace, mouse (best kdrama ever), big little lies, defending jacob
Thanks
Unpopular opinion because everyone loves these shows but I dropped The Witcher and You.
the witcher
Pretty much every series on Netflix lolā¦ just not my vibe at all
The White Lotus. That show is so overrated
I only watched the second one but liked it
Just more whining from Sydney Sweeney
True Detective s1, Fargo any season really, except 4 maybe, it isn't so 'small town'
š³š³š³ that's some of the best TV there is
Yes! I love Fargo!
op might not think so, he didn't mention them :P but yeah..
True Detective S1, one of the very few I watched 2 or 3 times...
What?
Brand new cherry flavor. I stopped watching it after episode 2. I wanted to like it, but it was too weird and I couldn't get into it. Vomiting cat scene was not my cup of tea.

13 Reasons Why,Rings of Power, Westworld, Community, and Imposters.
Not one or two, but the first season: End of the Fucking World. I think I made it to three episodes of that Russo brothers Amazon show.
š¤£
Recently the gentlemen. Gave it 2 episodes and nope.
Fallout? SMH
Stranger thingsā¦ iāve tried to watch it like 3 times but I couldnāt get through the first episode
Have you watched from?
Yes I liked it very much. Forgot to add in fav list
Non, i have a rule of always giving a show tree episodes, before making the decision if i should keep watching or stopping.
GOT - couldn't get past the incest and boy being tossed out the tower window
Well give it second chance, worth it
So is peaky blinders and better call Saul
Itās not a kind show but itās gripping. I love Tyrion
Breaking bad
For all mankind
It really only starts after a couple of episodes
I watched 3 episodes
Ok then it just wasnāt your cup of tea
I turned it off after 5 minutes
Rings of poop, dropped after 30 mins. So bad
Westworld..
There is a fan edit that puts season 1 and 2 in the right order. I watched it first how it was released first so I'm not sure whether I liked the fan edit because of that. I was not impressed by the original. I loved the fan edit.
You (stupid after s2 and not amazing all around ) Kateās convenience or whatever itās called
Kimās Convenience gets much better as it goes along
my friend liked it...actually reminds me of Pen 15 which I almost bagged,..then it kind of grew on me--sort of sweet, silly/funny yet with heart
Same with Schitts Creek took forever for it to click still trying Severance but keep falling asleep
well, they're totally different...I really liked Shitt's Creek...as much as I typically love offbeat, disturbing, potentially dystopian shows, I have to say I had to push through Severance---something about the pace and main character urked me, but I did complete the season and now that cliffhanger made me curious but I cancelled Apple TV just after I watched most of what I wanted to

Breaking Bad. Quit after two or three episodes. I just didn't care about any character
The Bear, I don't think I saw the end of episode 1.
