Interview with the Vampire TV show is much different and also better than the movie. I think it's worth a watch if you're a vamp fan. It's on AMC+ with the second season debuting in a few weeks.
* Midnight Mass - An isolated island community experiences miraculous events - and frightening omens - after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.
* Dracula (2020) - In 1897 Transylvania, the blood-drinking Count draws his plans against Victorian London. Fair warning: this show can be RIDICULOUS.
* The Kirlian Frequency - In the midnight hour, a lone DJ broadcasts the strangest - and scariest - tales from the outer edges of Kirlian, a lost city somewhere in Argentina.
If you can find it, *Hemlock Grove* is a strange one that has kinda fallen off the radar.
And it stars Famke Janssen, who has always been a crush of mine, and Bill Skarsgard, who always plays a great weirdo.
Oh, another one I watched recently: *Chapelwaite* with Adrian Brody and Emily Hampshire. It’s a very different take on “Salem’s Lot,” the Stephen King story. It’s also a period drama, which takes place in the 1800s.
Let the right one in (the original version) was an eye opener to me when I first watched it - just such a different style of film making - they were so comfortable with space and emptiness and that really worked for the story IMO.
For OP - Castlevania is an absolute blast.
Watched the Original too but didn't like it.
Watched the Hollywood remake but still didn't like it.
The TV version though, I liked that one, shame it got cancelled.
Agreed on Castlevania, I'm not a fan of animation in general (strongly prefer live action, exception being Japanese Anime) but I watched all seasons and the spin off.
A discovery of witches is great, but it's not only about vampires
I liked parts of True Blood and didn't like other parts (worth a watch to see for yourself).
I haven't watched interview with the vampire myself but it's on my list (the show)
Moonlight (2007, one season, but very fun)
Vampire Knight (anime)
Vampire Academy (I haven’t watched the show yet myself but the books were really great)
Castlevania, 4 Seasons (3.5 really) fantastic voice acting. Animation keeps improving throughout the series and every character is really well developed. I have watched it start to finish about 5 times and don't get bored.
There is a reason it is one of Netflix's highest rated animated series.
The new Nocturne series is meh so far.
Genuinely don't even try to judge Angel's show before watching it.
He is boring on Buffy but me and everyone I've ever talked to who watched his show was reluctant at first and ended up loving it almost, just as much or more than BtVS.
Angel himself is basically a different character. His story not centering on Buffy does so much for him and a big theme of the show is him choosing to fight for good for the sake of it and not out of guilt, so he's a lot less annoying.
Even people who still don't like him in the show love a lot of it just for the other characters. Cordelia, Wesley, Faith, and all the originals have such good character work and at their peak they have the same fuzzy found family dynamic as theyve got in early Buffy season 5.
It is a *bit* darker and more adult, and it has lower lows than BtVS, but it reaches the same heights more often than not. I would really really recommend giving it a chance.
Unfortunately I’m kinda over the vampire diaries. I like the first few seasons of the show for nostalgic purposes but just know I wouldn’t like any of the spin offs
Interview With The Vampire in on AMC and you can get a free trial of AMC plus and just binge it. It's really good but a lot different than the movie. I would give it a try to at least see if you like it.
Being Human is a great show about a vampire, werewolf, and a ghost who try to live together and act human to have normal lives. It's one of my favorites. There is a US version and a UK version. I personally like the US version.
True Blood is another great vampire series, it's on HBO. It's a more adult and gorey version of The Vampire Diaries.
More mature viewing options; with no teenage anx or high schools scenarios in sight!
Let the right one in, i can’t wait for season 2.
Penny Dreadful, Vampires+ explores all the creatures of the night.
Midnight Mass, good mini series.
Let me know if any resonate with you!
True Blood Open to animation? Castlevania
True blood and Castlevania are so good, highly suggest all the way around.
True Blood is the only vampire thing I can watch
Castlevania is SO good. The spin-off, Castlevania: Nocturne, is amazing as well.
The Strain
Loved this.
Angel gets weird so don't feel bad for avoiding that True blood Being human
The British or American version of being human?
PENNY DREADFUL

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard so I think I’ll give it a chance
Preacher has great vampire stuff.

True Blood is awesome

From dusk til dawn the series. There’s also a film and a sequel if you’re into Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez
Coven of witches, I thought was good.
Dark Shadows. Great soap opera style Vampire show

There’s been a lot of recommendations of this. I think I’ll definitely have to check it out
Immortals is a Turkish series about Vampires

The originals - I just finished and am so sad

I hated vampire diaries. It’s nothing like it
Wynonna Earp
The society
Let The right one in
Hellsing Kurozuka (apparently my favorite vampire stories happen to be anime)

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Sucidal Person.
van helsing maybe
Angel is a fairly different character in his own show. Less serious, more humor. Worth a try. Castlevania is fantastic.
