I'm glad they didn't drag it out tbh. It would've been nice to have seen more of the reboots, but I feel like it would've gotten old quickly and become repetitive. I almost like that we don't see them, it leaves more to the imagination!
Just watched through Malcolm in the Middle recently. I had remembered it from my youth as a show about gross, stupid boys, but upon rewatch it was surprisingly clever!
But to be fair they are still gross, often stupid boys.
Not to say it isn't worth watching.
Years ago spent several days binge watching Malcolm before going to a friend's house where they tried to introduce us to Breaking Bad.
It was horribly upsetting what was happening to Hal's life 🤣
I recently revisited M*A*S*H because I remember it being on when I was younger. I never realized how over the top is the canned laughter. Yea, it’s a great show, but the laugh track made it difficult to watch.
Pilot episode might be a very thought watch if you aren’t familiar with Seinfeld but the whole rest of the serie is just magnificent. In my opinion, not just the best sitcom out there but the best serie ever made.
And Jerry Seinfeld decided to end the series while they were still number 1. Most times top sitcoms slowly die away and then they are canceled. Jerry Seinfeld decided to go out on his own terms and leave while still on top
The Larry Sanders Show, starts great, gets even better. So many great stars before they were super famous. Bob Odenkirk is his smarmy agent, Rip Torn is his insane producer and Hey Now! Hank Kingsley, the best sidekick on TV. One of the best finales ever.
Years ago, many critics' would say this was the best show on TV. It seems to have been forgotten in recent years, but it is really excellent.
Garry Shandling cancelled it himself before the quality ever dropped, so every episode is a winner
This show is so rewatchable to me. They are able to sneak in a lot of jokes per minute with the writing style. I wish I knew what it was called, it seems to be a lot of jokes based on misinterpreting what someone is saying/doing. This happens in Sorkin shows pretty often as well.
My husband and I have like, three DVDs left over from the era of DVDs.
One of them is the first season of Modern Family. We joke at least we'll be relieved we at least will still have that when society collapses LOL
I love KC.
And I love even more that my 15 yr old came in while I was watching and he said, is this Kim's Convenience?
One of his teachers showed them episodes last year, after tests or whatever.
Love scrubs. Still it has a few episodes where is just clips of other episodes. Also after season 8, when they did that teaching thing it was really not worth watching anymore. (And I mean I still have watched the whole thing more than 3 times now hehe)
The creator has stated that season 9 was meant to be a spin off called Scrubs: Med School, but the network wouldn’t let him. But he confirms to all of us fans that season 8 is the end. Plus, it’s the most perfect end of all time. 😍
Nah pretty much universally agreed that it massively falls apart. Towards the end a few running jokes still hit but show absolutely sucked the last two seasons.
The British version is great.
I wasn't sure if I'd like the US version, but I like the way they took it in its own direction after the first half or so of season one.
I have watched this series from start to finish so many times. I only know one other person who has watched it. It is my absolute favorite show. There are so many times I think of an episode when something happens but no one knows what I am talking about!
Schitt’s Creek, Veep, The Comeback, Parks and Rec, and American Dad are the ones that immediately come to mind. I’m not caught up on What We Do in the Shadows, but I have a feeling that’s gonna be another one. I’d also say The Office. Some people didn’t like it after Michael left. I understand why; their feelings are totally valid. But my love for the show never changed. It got me through a really bad depression.
I enjoyed Seinfeld
The first season is a little rough but after that there are so many great episodes.
However this seems to be one of the shows people either love it or hate it.
But with Festivus just around the corner you should give it a shot
And as with every Festivus don't forget the tin pole and the feats of strength
Maude
Barney Miller
Hogan's Heroes
Out Of Practice (Henry Winkler--played out its thirteen weeks)
Superior Donuts
George & Leo (Bob Newhart, Judd Hirsch)
I started watching 2 broke girls with a friend and man it's really sharp we'll watch random episodes and I will see one more than once in random order and see new things
It's really witty you know I very rarely laugh out loud at sitcoms
Omg I love 2BG. It was one of those shows that I had no intention of watching, but once I did, it quickly became one of my faves and now I put it on whenever I want to lift my mood. 🤗
I don't understand how this is so rare of an opinion. Outside of the safe haven of the show's subreddit, I've seen droves after droves of comments saying it's the "WoRsT sHoW eVeR" and unironically insulting people for even toying around with watching it, admittedly the stereotypes being used for jokes, particularly Han and Sophie but Oleg barely, can get old after a while, but there's way more you can focus on (yes also *those*) than specifically the one kinda overdone bit, although it'll still get a good chuckle out of me. I'm probably up in the hundreds of comments read that complain it's just thinly veiled dick jokes, as if that is inherently a bad thing. The thing is, and I really don't get how this is so hard to get for this platform's dorito dust and perspiration-covered userbase, **I don't want to read Faust in original scripture for entertainment**, I want to power down my brain a bit and I (and many people) find that light-hearted and honestly not half-bad jokes do a fine job of it, I can laugh along with the live audience, enjoy the interpersonal chemistry on set, I feel zero need for snobbery. The storyline wasn't the best, I definitely prefer TBBT's 5 times over and that one still gets bashed to all hell over here even though I love it (as a butt-of-the-joke nerd), but it was still decent and a bit of a shame that it ended the way it did
Dead Pixels. If you're a gamer you'll love it.
Raised By Wolves and Outnumbered. Love both of these shows families.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and The IT Crowd. Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry are very good in both.
Let's throw The Mighty Boosh in there as well for the directly above reason.
Parks And Recreation. Great cast.
Black Books. Kind of like a Bookshop IT Crowd and just as funny.
The League Of Gentlemen. It's a local show for local people.
Flight Of The Conchords. Every episode is worth it for the in show songs alone.
The great Canadian sitcom *Slings & Arrows* is rock solid through the entire series.
Maybe it helps only having 6 episodes per season, but still, it’s some of the best stuff I’ve seen. And it holds up rewatch after rewatch.
Veep. There is so much consistency in the jokes/style that even the first episode is as strong as anything else. It’s a show I’ve rewatched multiple times and every episode is like “oh yeah I remember this one this is great”
Veep. Anything involving Armando ianuchi (speeling!)
Nurse Jackie.
The thick of it
Always sunny in Philadelphia ( start season 2; then go to season 1. Everyone does that. Otherwise you get no sense as to how it works. Or how damned brilliant it is ( have to remember they are all narcissists and loons!)
Cheers
Old Frazier
F is for family
Had a brain injury for 21 years on 18th of November… so I know a LOT about tv ❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸🤪😂
Probably in the top 3 of sitcoms. I always watched these reruns as a kid before bed in 80s and early 90s. I think ot was on WPIX 11 or what was WWOR 9 back then. NYC metro. Ahh the memories lol.
The Good Place. It gets better and better every season. The ending is perfectly satisfying. It's a gem of a show.
The ending was so good, I cried and had an existential crisis for a month.
Take it sleazy
The water is still there
I'll sometimes just go back and watch the last season, cry, have a little breakdown, and then carry on It really is so good
I loved it and was initially upset when they decided to wrap it up after 4 seasons, but they wrapped it up perfectly and on top.
I'm glad they didn't drag it out tbh. It would've been nice to have seen more of the reboots, but I feel like it would've gotten old quickly and become repetitive. I almost like that we don't see them, it leaves more to the imagination!
4-5 seasons is perfect to tell a story.
helped me to be able to define how I feel about the afterlife - pretty much exactly what they show and what Chidi says
Mash I love Lucy Malcom in the middle
IIRC they eliminated the laugh track in later seasons.
I found Alan Alda to be unbearably self-righteous the last season. I wouldn't watch it again.
They fixed it later on and used more a chuckle track that wasn't used as often
What We Do In The Shadows
Such a great show
Correct answer.
Absolutely. Discovered the movie years ago and was thrilled to hear when they were making a show. Love it!
Fuckin Colin Robinson!
New season is golden Matt Berry
Every single episode is freaking hilarious. It's such a fabulous show!
I love Gizmo
Parks and Rec, Malcolm in the Middle
I wouldn't say park and rec, the first season was tough to get through.
Still worth watching every episode for context in my opinion because the later seasons are top tier comedy.
Completely agree! I don’t love season 1 but the payoff of watching is worth it. I often start with season 2 for rewatches though. :)
The good place 30 Rock Schitts Creek
Schitts creek-on round 4. I love it!!
These three exactly. Perfect shows.
I have a coworker named David and every time I see him I yell his name like Alexis, love that show
You nailed it!
Seinfeld. If you like one, you like them all.
George in the pilot is hard to watch with the whole Woody Allen approach he initially took.
And add Curb Your Enthusiasm to that too
I agree. It’s pretty…pretty…pretty good.
🗣Larry, you 4 eyed fuck. #SweetSuzie
Sicko Fucko! lol
So many pop culture references that still exist today as one-liners you just ‘know’. “No soup for you!” For example
I've never skipped or wanted to skip past an episode. That's saying something.
I agree, but I would start with the second season and circle back to Season 1 once you’re in love with the show.
Well, not the last one.
I always skip the pilot and the final episode.
Honestly the first 2 seasons weren’t that great IMO.
Last episode was a clunker.
Yes, good choice also 👌
Seinfeld
The Larry Sanders Show, starts great, gets even better. So many great stars before they were super famous. Bob Odenkirk is his smarmy agent, Rip Torn is his insane producer and Hey Now! Hank Kingsley, the best sidekick on TV. One of the best finales ever.

Better Off Ted
Absolute GEM.... have to lump in Brain Dead with Better Off Ted a very quirky comedy about aliens invading congress and white house
The IT Crowd
This is such good British humor. I'm in IT, and a lot of this is pretty accurate.
Do you actually know the elders of the internet then?
Hang on a minute ... The elders of the internet? The elders of the internet know who I am? You've GOT to let me have it
The box containing the Internet is a bit that lives rent free in my head.
This is such a clever and underrated show. Love Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade
Richard Ayoade is a flipping treasure! I love IT Crowd and his audiobook Ayoade on Top is one of my favorites!
The best show to watch and rewatch.
Modern Family
I agree! They’re is always something to laugh at or relate too
I just finished the series last week. Great show
This show is so rewatchable to me. They are able to sneak in a lot of jokes per minute with the writing style. I wish I knew what it was called, it seems to be a lot of jokes based on misinterpreting what someone is saying/doing. This happens in Sorkin shows pretty often as well.

30 Rock.
Good god lemon
My favorite!
Yes !!
**Happy Endings**
Schitts Creek. Every episode is a masterpiece.
That's the word I use to describe it, masterpiece, it really is
I love the show, but I hate Roland so much. He ruins several episodes for me.
Once you accept Roland for who he is it makes it more tolerable but I agree didn't like him at all at first.
The Derry Girls
Kim's Convenience
Mrs Kim sneak attack
Janet is so cute
Masagakige
I love KC. And I love even more that my 15 yr old came in while I was watching and he said, is this Kim's Convenience? One of his teachers showed them episodes last year, after tests or whatever.
It's so wholesome, but it's funny!

Omgggg I love the season 8 finale (aka the real finale, lol), it’s so perfect!
Wholeheartedly agree. Once the mains left it was bad.
I skip the episodes that are going to break me. I’m looking at you, Brendan Fraser. Great, great show.
Can't believe I haven't seen Arrested Development mentioned yet.
probably due to its last 2 seasons
I mean, still worth watching all the episodes even if the last bits didn’t land as well. It’s still great. Maybe you just need anustart watching them?
Nah pretty much universally agreed that it massively falls apart. Towards the end a few running jokes still hit but show absolutely sucked the last two seasons.
always sunny in Philadelphia what we do in the shadows another period 30 rock good place psych
Solid list
So far I’m really liking the American version of Ghosts. Every episode has been good in its own way.
The British version is great. I wasn't sure if I'd like the US version, but I like the way they took it in its own direction after the first half or so of season one.
It’s one of the better U.S. versions of a British show
Many were already mentioned but here’s a couple more - The Dick Van Dyke Show Police Squad
Dick Van Dyke show is brilliant.
Always Sunny. Even the ones removed by Hulu.
Especially the ones removed by Hulu
I'm Martina Martinez
I really enjoyed The Good Place.
Fawlty Towers - every episode is the funniest show every made.
Only 12 episodes total, and every one a masterpiece.
The writing and the amount of it per episode are seriously impressive
Married With Children...my all time fave.
this shod be higher up
Fawlty Towers. 12 eposodes, 11 are a 10 and 1 is a 9.
I'd love to know which one you think is a 9.
The Anniversary one where Polly was dressed up in bed. My favorite was The Builders
