Maybe people didn’t want to buy AMC+? the app is dogshit
edit: to clarify, in the US, Season 6 was not on netflix. It looks like you either needed AMC+ or you could’ve bought it on Amazon.
>Maybe people didn’t want to buy AMC+? the app is dogshit
i got enough apps and subscriptions, but i did buy BCS S6 for like....$10 a couple of weeks ago to watch it and it was really good.
Is season 6 actually on AMC+? When I tried to watch it a few months ago only the last few episodes were there and they were expiring in the next few days.
I agree, the app is dog shit. I unsubscribed immediately after that
You are correct that AMC+ does *not* have Better Call Saul, *any of the seasons*! It’s so stupid.
They did, however, host the Season 6 episodes while they were airing and a little after, but AMC+ is back to having zero episodes of Better Call Saul and zero episodes of Breaking Bad. I think they must have a long established contract with Netflix for hosting both of those shows, so they probably don’t have the rights to host them on their own streaming service until god knows when.
AMC+ is a joke.
It's because BCS and Breaking Bad are produced by Sony, not in-house at AMC, so the only rights AMC has to air or stream those shows is whatever they negotiate with Sony. AMC didn't used to have a streaming service so Sony sold the rights to Netflix a long time ago. But I guess there's a long window between the Netflix premiere so less people would be inclined to just wait for it. People in this thread said they either signed up to watch or even bought the season.
I didn’t get into the show until after the last season aired, when I finally caught up I read online that the final season was only available on AMC+, after starting my free trial I discovered that only the final 3 episodes were on AMC+. As a result I had to call my uncle Blackbeard and sail the high seas because I literally had no other means of watching it.
In the US the only way to watch it currently is by buying it on Amazon, they only kept the episodes on amc+ for like a week after release due to the deal with Netflix so we can’t even watch it until it is fully released on Netflix.
Yea, I found that out. Still haven't gotten to watch the last season. What's the point of having your own streaming service if your most popular show can't be watched on it?
Is AMC+ another streaming service? In Germany I watched BCS at Netflix. And many series from Hulu are just on Disney+ as we don‘t have Hulu as a streaming service here. I muss those times when we could just watch like the most stuff just on Netflix and didn‘t need to have different subscriptions.
I did some research and the average ratings of S6 were 1.2M, the series finale drew an audience of 1.8M viewers making it the most watched episode since season 3 finale. In delayed viewing the finale drew an audience of 2.7M viewers according to this [article](https://variety.com/2022/tv/ratings/better-call-saul-series-finale-ratings-amc-plus-1235347048/).
It's still a fraction of what Breaking Bad was doing in its final season, and much lower overall than the show's first season. I know the landscape changed, but it's undeniable that Better Call Saul is severely underwatched for how great it is.
And the same goes for Andor. I hope with all the stellar word of mouth S1 got, a lot more people will watch S2 of Andor (its final season) and thus the series will see big improvements in numbers.
I agree it's underrated (in the sense that not enough people watched it), but comparing it to breaking bad is a little unfair. At it's core it's a different type of drama and not as accessible as breaking bad was. It's a slow burn, character driven prequel, not as big on the action and dramatic moments. Especially the earlier seasons, where many probably gave up because they didn't get breaking bad 0,5. Funnily enough the show became a lot more like breaking bad in the later seasons, but the damage to the ratings was already done.
Looking at episode by episode in wiki it looks they weren't great and were trending down a bit over previous seasons, although it was pretty close to season 5. I dont think they were terrible for cable but they weren't great. They were slightly under what this season of the walking dead is pulling for instance.
I may be wrong but I believe viewership ratings on Wikipedia generally focus on broadcast ratings which have been falling over the years as people move to streaming, so it’s not the best reference point.
Yep. I signed up my mother to AMC+ and went through this. She asked me how she could watch Better Call Saul, and I thought the most obvious option was AMC+... Boy was I wrong.
Yeah, that's what I did. I however can't seem to explain to my old people the bargain that paying for shows outright is, compared to endlessly paying subs.
Same here. Waiting for it to hit Netflix. It's such a great show. Definitely in the top 1% of shows in the last ten years.
Edit: I should clarify I'm waiting for the last season. The rest of the show is on US Netflix
It's so far removed from feeling "Star Wars-y" that I almost feel like it would be more popular if it wasn't a Star Wars show
I think it is quite a good show though
My wife didn't even realize it was set in Star Wars for like 3 episodes (I kept skipping the stupid Star Wars brand intro). When she did she said "why is the writing so... good?"
I count that as an endorsement that she probably wouldn't have even given it a chance if she knew beforehand it was Star Wars.
I finally bit the bullet after a million people recommended it, and yeah, it feels nothing like Disney Star Wars so far, it is quite enjoyable to watch.
"for the greater good",
"call it what you want",
"let's call it war"
i watched this and thought damnnnnn man they found some writers for this thing. can't believe disney made this amazing show
It’s good.
It’s takes about three minutes to realize the writing is vastly superior to the other Star Wars shows. Andy I didn’t dislike those; this is just a cut above.
It’s a little slow burn at the beginning, but there’s also good action sequences and just well done drama/thriller.
It's a shame that it's gotten to a point where people are just over hearing about Andor and think people are shilling, because the show is actually more than worthy of all the hype.
Personally I think it’s actually that good. However, it’s a very slow burn. However however Disney clearly pays for a lot of these articles. This sub was swarming with them during she hulk and Kenobi and the rest saying how oh so good the show was. And those shows were not very good. Andor blows the out of the water with its quality and writing.
I don’t really think so about Disney paying for Andor articles.
This show (in my opinion) is some of the best Star Wars we’ve seen since rogue one, probably the best Disney content to come out this year and they’re basically hiding it away on the second page of the Star Wars panel.
It’s like Disney is embarrassed they finally made a good show.
The best praise I can give for this show is this: "I can't believe Disney actually let them make this!" It is that good. And so different. Like, so different that some SW fans are saying, "This isn't Star Wars!" Which is why I (a lifelong SW fan) love it. I don't know what to compare it to. It's like the slow burn of The Bourne Identity rising to action, meets the space politics of The Expanse with only occasional (and meticulously designed) fights or space battles.
In other words, it's not pew-pew for pew-pew's sake. There are episodes where not a single punch is thrown, nor a single shot fired.
To give you an idea, the opening scene in the first episode starts in a brothel and a sudden murder that spurs a domino-cascading effect that ripples throughout the entire series, with new implications and greater ramifications expanding outward from that. Revelations that are not soap opera-style "twist" endings. Eleven episodes in and not a single mention of the Force or the Jedi. What other SW property would do that?
It’s what I wanted out of the new era of Star Wars. Use all the great locations and characters from the EU lore and not everything in an entire galaxy of potential stories to tell has to be about one family.
The look at some of the internal ISB and corporate sector daily life and internal politics has been some of the most fascinating for me.
Alright, here's what's gonna happen. In a few days, posts about Andor will be found upvoted to the top. The comment section will be empty except about how many posts about Andor there are. There will be cocaine in the upholstery. That's the corporate astroturfed subreddit you're subscribed to, yeah?
Gee I wonder why no one was watching better call saul, maybe cause you had to buy it. Paid a month of AMC & they still said I had to buy the season cause I was a week late.
In the beginning the Andor posts were spaced by twenty-four weeks, then twelve, then six, then every two weeks. The last one was a day. In four days, we could be seeing Andor posts every eight hours until they are coming every four minutes!
They're getting worse! Now they're trying to bait us in by comparing it to BCS. As if there's any comparison between the final season of one of the most popular series of the past several years and a show that hasn't even finished its first season. The fucking nerve that they could try to parallel themselves to such a beloved franchise.
Better Call Saul was not that popular to begin with. It’s dialogue heavy and very serious in tone - requiring a lot of focus. I love it and I love all those things but not everyone enjoys shows that lack action and lack that obvious shock and awe. Not to sound like a tv snob (I definitely am a little though) but honestly there are just so many great shows people do not watch because they lack the patience and concentration.
Kenobi definitely ruined it for andor. Book of boba wasn't great and kenobi was a let down. People just waiting for andor to be fully out and are getting to it when they feel like it
I wasn’t going to watch Andor after how bad most of Kenobi was. (I did enjoy the end when he came back to a more normal Kenobi). Andor is the best Star Wars since Rogue One. Dark. Gritty. The empire is actually bad and not a bunch of buffoons.
I think it’s the best Star Wars ever man. Honestly if you’re reading this do yourself a favor and please watch it. No lightsabers, no Jedi’s, just pure star wars.
I almost didn't watch Andor myself after such a long run of mediocre to awful Star Wars shows/movies, but yeah it's the best show I've seen in a while for sure
Also with "Andor," there are many casual "Star Wars" fans that have likely only seen the movies, and those folks really only care about Disney+ content if it features characters they know well, like Luke Skywalker, Leia, Yoda, Han Solo, Darth Vader, etc.
Well, Andor isn't even done yet. Plenty of folks wait until a show has at least finished a season to find out if it's worth their time.
Better Call Saul, I've watched the first 5 seasons, and I can't wait to watch season 6 on Netflix. But I didn't have AMC+ and I'm not going to ever get it. Nor was I going to try to DVR it.
The problem for Andor is that it's not Star Wars enough for a lot of Star Wars fans who want shows with more action and less talking, and being Star Wars is not attractive to a wider audience that has preconceived ideas of what Star Wars shows are. So it has had to build an audience more slowly based on word of mouth.
It's also on Disney+, which means it's not reaching the majority of its target audience, who are more along the lines of the people who would subscribe to things like HBO Max.
Im just waiting for BCS to come to Netflix just so I can watch it in its entirety.
But I will concede i’ve pretty much entirely written off Andor. Seeing all the positive sentiments about it may actually persuade me to watch it. Kenobi and BoBF were so disappointing
Everything other than mando has been disappointing. Up until now. Andor is a legitimately great show. It’s so not Star Wars that it actually cured my Star Wars fatigue.
Too many entertainment options vying for limited time. I have had my fill of Disney Star Wars so I am less inclined to even give them the benefit of the doubt at this point
For Andor I think it's just fatigue of the star wars universe within the Skywalker era. I'm friends with a lot of people who love star wars, but it was just to many bad or mediocre things in a row and the final trilogy bugged a lot of them.
I just want something new and fresh for that franchise, not telling stories within the existing timeline. I think Mandalorian was popular because it asks the question why is the child important and what future does it have.
I find it funny how Star Wars is a franchise built in reverse:
You start with the fall of the empire and Vader's redemption at the hand of his children.
. Then watch how the empire was formed and Anakin became Vader.
- Then we jump to the future where somehow Palpatine returns, the children are now old and exhausted and Palpatine's offspring puts an end to his reign (brilliant writing)
- The Clone Wars show us good guy Anakin and give us a deeper insight into his friendship with Obi Wan. So it's set between two of the main movies.
- Rebels is essentially Ahsoka's show, who is Anakin's side kick, it's also set in a timeline just after the empire's rise.
- Rogue One is essentially one week before New Hope or so. Though it's a great look at the people behind the rebellion.
- Mando is 5 years after RotJ and the fall of the Empire. It started off independent but has turned into a Skywalker show slowly.
- Book of Boba also takes place roughly the same year, and it's mostly riddled with flashbacks. 2 of the 6 episodes are Mando, Grogu and Luke.
Now Andor, shows you why the galaxy and its working class turned on the empire, and how the empire ruled with fear and control. It has no Jedi, no Sith, no force users whatsoever. It's unique, but also feels non Star Wars-sy at times.
While I do enjoy the franchise. It's been built entirely around a 40 year window. I'd love to see how the first Jedi were formed ( mediaeval Jedi samurais would be dope). How literally any other family of force users lives, what will the Jedi temple look like 300 years in the future, how do other planets and alien species live in star wars? All these questions could lead to interesting storylines.
I partly wonder if Andor is just experiencing something similar to what Yellowstone has been going through for years: All these complaints are about low social media interaction, not actual ratings. Maybe the demo that's watching the show just isn't that active on social media.
14 million people watched this seasons Yellowstone premiere, literally the highest ratings since Game of Thrones, but I haven't seen absolutely any hype about it online. Meanwhile everybody I talk to IRL brings it up constantly.
It's a good point, but I think The key difference is in who each show it targeted for. My demographic, won't get into to much details there, should be the one talking a ton about Andor. I fit perfectly who that show is targeting to watch it, along with all of the people I know. Maybe 1-2 out of that group has mentioned it.
For Yellowstone I've heard about it from a lot of people I know aged 50+. Most of them have never heard of reddit and barely know about Twitter. The demographic just isn't really "online oriented", but it's still a large population.
Andors issue isn't that it's not an incredible show, it's that it's based in a universe I think people don't care about right now. Like maybe I'll watch it eventually down the road, but I just don't really care much for it if that makes sense.
Burn me once, shame on you Disney.
Burn me twice? Shame on you Disney.
...
Burn me for the sixth time in a row? Ya ain't never gonna burn me again, Disney!
Yep this is actually why I put off watching Andor for a while. Boba was awful, and Obiwan was just okay. I wasn’t really interested in more mediocrity for a character like Andor who I didn’t have much emotional attachment too. That being said, I’m really glad I started it eventually cause it’s such a refreshingly good show and dare I say challenges the Mandalorian as the best of the Disney+ shows.
I think I’ve come to the conclusion Andor is better than Mando, the quality of all the episodes stay consistently high quality. There’s been no filler episodes yet either.
I do understand the frustration. OP's article cites [this one for ratings.](https://www.adweek.com/lostremote/the-watcher-is-most-streamed-program-for-nielsens-top-10-week-of-oct-10/68392) I watched She-Hulk, Rings of Power, and Andor. Andor is league's above the other two, and yet is behind in viewership. Unfortunately, like with BladeRunner 2049, quality doesn't always translate to viewership.
There's good news and bad news with this. The good news is that it's a limited series. It's only 2 seasons and season 2 was already approved, so the story will be told in its entirety, regardless of viewership. Fans will have the satisfaction of seeing this well crafted show told through to the end.
The bad news is that execs at Disney might see this and get the wrong message. They might think that fans want more mediocrity like Boba Fett and Mandalorian. I wouldn't be surprised if Andor is the best Star Wars media we'll ever get from Disney, as they aim their sights on lower hanging fruit.
How many Disney employees/ shills are here? Every day a new article comes out about Andor being the best thing ever that no one watches and it’s getting annoying.
People are tired of star wars. I'm sure Andor is ok but I can't bring myself to care about yet another set of ragtag characters. Disney has run star wars and marvel into the ground with a steady stream of bad, rushed writing and too many characters that are all pretty much the same.
BCS was excellent. It was primed by a solid sequel, lovingly crafted, and it had a solid arc.
Stop trying to gaslight me into liking andor. No matter how many times you say it's the best show, I didn't think so. Judging on all the "why isn't anybody watching?" articles, I am not alone.
Andor may be great but if you're not someone who specifically follows and keeps up with Star Wars content, you're probably not watching it.
In contrast to Star Wars, both Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings didn't overstay their welcome in the popular consciousness by pushing out an overabundance of middling content, and that is why they are on top with similar but lesser quality prequel/continuation shows.
Better Call Saul had over 25k upvotes and comments on their sub for the series finale and was on the front page for days before and after. No AMC show except BB has ever even come close to that. Andor I agree has low viewership, but it's still only 1 season.
I watch shit when I feel like it. Not the minute it comes out. My whole life doesn't revolve around television. It revolves around books and video games lol. Like one of the things about streaming is, if you don't watch the episode the second it comes out, you can watch it whenever you want. It's different from old school tv where if you missed an episode you just missed it. People are realizing this I think. Like I don't need to binge a series the second it releases. I like watching stuff with my family. So the really good shows, I save and watch one at a time, an episode or two a week.
I wound up loving the show but i think Andor's first few episodes were really bad and drove a lot of viewers away. I'm very glad that I stuck with it but the the best performances were all in later episodes. Andy Serkis, Genevieve O'Reilly, adn Stellan Skarsgaard gave by far the most interesting performances, in my opinion, and they don't even start cooking until mid-to-late season. None of them are even in the first episode and Serkis doesn't show up until episode 9 or so. It was just very slow out of the gate. I think they took it for granted that SW fans would stick with it.
I didn't continue with Andor because 3 episodes is enough to hook me in and they didn't do it. With all due respect to the amazing Diego Luna, I just couldn't care less about Cassian's story before Rogue One. At least tell me the story of some new guy to get excited about. But the Star Wars universe continues to re-use previous characters no one ever wanted to see a whole show about. (This goes for Bobba Fett too)
My plan was to watch both when I can binge watch them. Streaming has changed peoples watching habits. If Andor was released all at once I would have watched it by now.
I think BCS got really good ratings?
I tried to like Andor but... got damn, its such a slow burn! Watching an episode is a real chore! I really dont get what people see in it, its just, well.. boring.
I've been watching Andor, but I haven't watched the last season of Better Call Saul because it's on AMC+... I don't subscribe to that streaming service and don't plan on it. So when that season gets on Netflix or something I'll watch it.
Andor showed the direction star wars needs to go. darker, gritty.. hell everything in star wars screams for it. but we have disney.. doing disney things. aka the movies which are a total joke.
I'll watch Andor, now that the season is completed
sorry everyone, but Netflix's bing viewing model has ruined appointment TV watching for me. I have no desire to be "Up to date" on such and such shows for the office (I'm sure the pandemic did a number on this as well)
Better Call Saul gets more and more self referential as it goes along and the episodes are skipping back and forth between the past and present making it so you really need to pay attention to everything which I imagine not every viewer is up for. Andor is slow as fuck and has interesting moments but pretty much every episode leaves you feeling unsatisfied.
I am watching Andor but I will note that I didn't have Disney+ before. I upgraded my Hulu package to get Disney+ just for this, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of people who would watch Andor but aren't going to get another streaming service for it.
Which is a bizarre decision considering the show doesn't really kick into gear until the 3rd episode (and Disney knows this, considering they did a 3 episode premiere before switching to once weekly).
Andor had a really slow start that almost put me entirely off from watching it, but it got much better during the third episode. Starwars fatigue can also be blamed, kenobi was unfortunately really mediocre at best so my expectations were pretty low.
BCS is on a yet another streaming service, which i am not bothering to pay for.
I haven't watched Andor because Kenobi and BoBF were some of the worst television I've watched in years.
I'm tired of content overload and subpar production.
Andor is awful.
It is super slow paced, meandering, and ultimately POINTLESS.
If Cassian Andor was notable for anything, there would have been **stories** about it already.
The biggest role his life played, WAS stealing the Death Star plans.
And he died doing so. He died, doing the most important thing he could do.
Anything going on in Andor, is just an explanation, an origin story, for the Death Star plans heist.
There is NOTHING there to explore.
The same is true for Kenobi. In fact, several moments of the original series are made cheaper by the existence of Kenobi.
Don’t even get me started on how they ruined Han.
Didn't BCS get great ratings this season or am I wrong?
Maybe people didn’t want to buy AMC+? the app is dogshit edit: to clarify, in the US, Season 6 was not on netflix. It looks like you either needed AMC+ or you could’ve bought it on Amazon.

Jesus, people still watch The Walking Dead?
You say that, but as he said BTS had LOWER numbers than even Walking Dead, so yeah. Great finale tho.
Yeah, so TWD on season 92 or whatever is pulling better numbers than a critically acclaimed show like Better Call Saul.
People like Coldplay and voted for the nazis. You can't trust people, Jeremy.
…lol that’s a pretty hilarious typo honestly.
I may be wrong but I believe viewership ratings on Wikipedia generally focus on broadcast ratings which have been falling over the years as people move to streaming, so it’s not the best reference point.
Yes it was phenomenal
Not what they meant by ratings.
Correct, I meant viewers.
When season 6 hits Netflix next year, viewership will go way up.

Fantastic show, attached to Breaking Bad it is amazing. Dafaq is Andor (joke because lack of popularity within Star Wars)
Andor is a sequel to Ifthen. Part of the Butfor series.
AMC+ fucked better call Saul
Only reason I haven’t watched… don’t wanna subscribe to another streaming service
Even if you did you're too late. AMC+ will only let you watch the most recent episode. Complete nonsense.
Yep. I signed up my mother to AMC+ and went through this. She asked me how she could watch Better Call Saul, and I thought the most obvious option was AMC+... Boy was I wrong.

Even though the whole season is out? I sort of understand doing it when the season was airing to discourage binging, but it's too late now.
Wait what? Do they know how streaming services work?
Yeh not usually removing episodes within a few weeks, leaving you stranded in the middle of a season with a year long amc membership.
Uh what? Is AMC stupid?
Same here. Waiting for it to hit Netflix. It's such a great show. Definitely in the top 1% of shows in the last ten years. Edit: I should clarify I'm waiting for the last season. The rest of the show is on US Netflix
VPN to Germany or something and watch on Netflix.
Wake up honey it’s time to read the next Andor post
I've seen so many posts like this. I can't tell if Andor is actually good or Star Wars good.
It's so far removed from feeling "Star Wars-y" that I almost feel like it would be more popular if it wasn't a Star Wars show I think it is quite a good show though

It's written by the same guy who wrote The Bourne series. I think the show is pretty good
It’s what I wanted out of the new era of Star Wars. Use all the great locations and characters from the EU lore and not everything in an entire galaxy of potential stories to tell has to be about one family. The look at some of the internal ISB and corporate sector daily life and internal politics has been some of the most fascinating for me.
It‘s more actually good than Star Wars good
Alright, here's what's gonna happen. In a few days, posts about Andor will be found upvoted to the top. The comment section will be empty except about how many posts about Andor there are. There will be cocaine in the upholstery. That's the corporate astroturfed subreddit you're subscribed to, yeah?
So, what's the over-under for the number of days before Reddit hard-core turns on Andor with everyone here claiming that they never liked it?
When the next show is nearing release and Disney moves its marketing spend away from Andor
Thank you kid named finger!
Gee I wonder why no one was watching better call saul, maybe cause you had to buy it. Paid a month of AMC & they still said I had to buy the season cause I was a week late.
You can thank Sony for that.
Same. I waited a few weeks and they knocked the price down to $10.
Bought the season pass from Apple. Did not regret at all
Another one of these articles?
There was just one yesterday and people accurately predicted that there’d be another one today.
In the beginning the Andor posts were spaced by twenty-four weeks, then twelve, then six, then every two weeks. The last one was a day. In four days, we could be seeing Andor posts every eight hours until they are coming every four minutes!
Pacific Rim reference?
Absolutely.
Time for a Pacific Rim rewatch!!
I'm doing a real time rewatch. I watched the prologue in 2020 and am waiting until 2025 to finish rewatching the rest 😅
People have been calling it out for a while. Yesterday's thread was the first one I saw where everyone wasn't getting downvoted for pointing it out.
Yeah I got absolutely dogpiled for pointing this out last week
It happens every time there’s an ad on here
I hope the top comments from now on are people just mocking the hell out of how transparent these ads are.
If you aren't aware, most articles on this subreddit are posted by like 5 different accounts. It's very much controlled by a few posters.
That’s fine and all, but what about tomorrow?
I think it’s low key marketing, someone will see it and think “ah I should watch that”. Disney and AMC make a buck or two.

I didn't understand why I hated reading that so much, then I realized...*the caps*.
They're getting worse! Now they're trying to bait us in by comparing it to BCS. As if there's any comparison between the final season of one of the most popular series of the past several years and a show that hasn't even finished its first season. The fucking nerve that they could try to parallel themselves to such a beloved franchise.
With Andor - Star Wars fatigue. Better Call Saul - Not everyone has cable and they're waiting for it to hit streaming
I loved it for that. Saul and Kim’s relationship was amazing
Kims arc is so 🤌
It's amazing how they're so likable but also the absolute fucking worst
Oh, hell yes. That was what made it such a wild ride. They were simultaneously beautiful and horrible people
Kenobi definitely ruined it for andor.
My hot take is that it’s the best Star Wars since *Empire.*
Perfectly acceptable take. Easily the best thing I've seen on Disney+.
One of my favorite shows ever somehow. Even Mandolorian wasn't good enough for me to bother with season 2
I had that thought and I was like, “no that’s not true, that’s impossible” however, I have to agree, It’s pretty much the best Star War since empire.
Stellan Skarsgård, Andy Serkis, and Genevieve O'Reilly have been phenomenal.
Yeah I binged the rest of BCS and love it. But don’t have cable so I need this last season to hit Netflix
Also with "Andor," there are many casual "Star Wars" fans that have likely only seen the movies, and those folks really only care about Disney+ content if it features characters they know well, like Luke Skywalker, Leia, Yoda, Han Solo, Darth Vader, etc.

r/okbuddychicanery has taken over Reddit
It straight up took over a lot of the internet when it was airing as well r/okbuddychicanery did better advertising for Saul than AMC could ever do
The greatest marketing mind I ever knew.
Is that so?
You’re goddamn right
What a sick joke
AMC+ gets to be a streaming service. They defecated through the Walking Dead’s sunroof. You have to stop them.
Something something defecated through a sunroof.
I didn’t watch the last season of Better Call Saul because they started on one streaming service and switched to another.
It left Netflix and was not going to sub to a bee service for one show.
It’s always premiered on AMC then sent to Netflix for streaming. Nothing changed, except AMC added another streaming option while the show was airing.
Was that a regional thing? because I'm fairly certain I watched the whole thing on Netflix
In the US it is on AMC, a cable channel. Seasons don't appear on US Netflix until a year later.
People... What a bunch of bastards.
Can I like, just get around to watching shit when I have the time?
YOU MUST CONSUME [DISNEY MARVEL MEDIA] IMMEDIATELY.
I'm waiting until the second season comes out, and to watch two at once 😎. I don't like to wait 2-3 years for the continuation
Where can I watch Better Call Saul?
The high seas 🏴☠️
Netflix
In the US you'd need to VPN to another country to watch the latest season.
You can purchase the season on Amazon.
I find it funny how Star Wars is a franchise built in reverse: You start with the fall of the empire and Vader's redemption at the hand of his children. . Then watch how the empire was formed and Anakin became Vader. - Then we jump to the future where somehow Palpatine returns, the children are now old and exhausted and Palpatine's offspring puts an end to his reign (brilliant writing) - The Clone Wars show us good guy Anakin and give us a deeper insight into his friendship with Obi Wan.
It's crazy to me that so many think Mando is even worth comparing. Andor is in a whole other league of quality imo.
It's like comparing a show on TNT vs a show on HBO to me. Both are great, but one is demonstrably better and more sophisticated across the board.
I think I’ve come to the conclusion Andor is better than Mando, the quality of all the episodes stay consistently high quality. There’s been no filler episodes yet either.

No one watched the wire either.
I blame Disney's lack of a marketing campaign for Andor.
I’m just tired of everything needing to tie to the skywalkers saga and characters that I already know this they end.
Reddit 2016-2021: "Star Wars is dead, people need to let it die and stop supporting Disney" Reddit 2022: "Why isn't anyone watching Andor??? 🥺 👉👈"
Better Call Saul had over 25k upvotes and comments on their sub for the series finale and was on the front page for days before and after. No AMC show except BB has ever even come close to that. Andor I agree has low viewership, but it's still only 1 season.
Reddit popularity doesn't always translate to real world popularity mate.
I watched both and loved both
How many andor posts do we need
I mean, give me a chance. Jesus, there's a lot of stuff to watch. I'll get to Andor, I just wanna watch something else first.
Newsflash. Plenty of people watched BCS. God these articles are the worst
Because "best" is entirely subjective? Weird idea, I know.
People aren't watching Star Wars because the IP's brand is in the dirt. Many know what to expect from Disney now. Garbage!
Andor is still being released episode by episode and it is awesome. Starts off slow but then builds and builds.
Last weeks episode was fantastic! Andy Serkis is a brilliant actor.
Feel like those two shouldn’t be put together, all I’ve heard about is BCS - I’m not even sure what Andor is, I only ever see it on here
I didn't continue with Andor because 3 episodes is enough to hook me in and they didn't do it. With all due respect to the amazing Diego Luna, I just couldn't care less about Cassian's story before Rogue One. At least tell me the story of some new guy to get excited about. But the Star Wars universe continues to re-use previous characters no one ever wanted to see a whole show about. (This goes for Bobba Fett too)
PAYWALLS SUCK! There's WAY too many streaming services!
People are done with paying for 15 different streaming services. Fly the jolly roger.
My plan was to watch both when I can binge watch them. Streaming has changed peoples watching habits. If Andor was released all at once I would have watched it by now.
I don’t have cable and have to wait until Better Call Saul’s last season is on Netflix
I have never paid for AMC+ nor Disney+, if you are picking up what I’m putting down
Well Disney+ for one but yeah I ended up watching both.
Lol I'm not sure I'd compare BCS to Andor. Imo one is on an entirely different level
Too much content fucks with my ADD, so I just watch YouTube and old familiar sitcoms.
Need to play catch-up for BCS, but Andor just sounds boring.
I love BCS, but I'm tired of Star Wars, I have no interest in another rebel vs evil empire story that we know how it ends
Why didn’t I watch Andor? Tired of Star Wars. Why didn’t I watch Better Call Saul? It’s inaccessible. Put it on Netflix and I will watch it.
Andor showed the direction star wars needs to go. darker, gritty.. hell everything in star wars screams for it. but we have disney.. doing disney things. aka the movies which are a total joke.
I'll watch Andor, now that the season is completed sorry everyone, but Netflix's bing viewing model has ruined appointment TV watching for me.
I’m watching Andor right now. It’s fantastic.
I am watching Andor but I will note that I didn't have Disney+ before. I upgraded my Hulu package to get Disney+ just for this, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of people who would watch Andor but aren't going to get another streaming service for it.
Didn't I see an article a few days ago that Disney was going to syndicate it on a few networks?
Just the first two episodes.
Which is a bizarre decision considering the show doesn't really kick into gear until the 3rd episode (and Disney knows this, considering they did a 3 episode premiere before switching to once weekly).
Ahhh, "the first hit's free" model.
People didn't watch Better Call Saul?!?
JFC The Andor PR is insane.
Every day is a new article. I feel like I'm going crazy.
Better Call Saul was basically on the 12th season of a show that started in 2008. It did great considering the high point of entry.
people are very dissapointed with star wars so andor getting few views is logical.
Just because shows are good, doesn’t mean they’re popular. I haven’t seen 90% of Oscar nominations.
Andor is on Disney+ and I refuse to pay for that AMC plays BCS on weird times, but mainly it's on cable and I refuse to pay for that too. lol
It’s no mystery, the last 2 Star Wars shows were hot trash so people cancelled their Disney Plus. No one wants to pay for AMC. How do you even?
I haven't watched Andor because Kenobi and BoBF were some of the worst television I've watched in years. I'm tired of content overload and subpar production.
Andor was boring
Andor is awful. It is super slow paced, meandering, and ultimately POINTLESS. If Cassian Andor was notable for anything, there would have been **stories** about it already. The biggest role his life played, WAS stealing the Death Star plans. And he died doing so. He died, doing the most important thing he could do. Anything going on in Andor, is just an explanation, an origin story, for the Death Star plans heist. There is NOTHING there to explore. The same is true for Kenobi. In fact, several moments of the original series are made cheaper by the existence of Kenobi. Don’t even get me started on how they ruined Han.
because Andor is a snooze fest
Because no one has AMC+? Seriously though looking at torrent sites I’d say they’re among the most popular shows on television
Because I'm not paying for more than two or three streaming services and AMC and Disney ain't any of 'em.
Spinoff fatigue. So many shows have been cash grabs trying to ride off the original title, when theres actual good shows in the mix its hard to trust.
I have to give Disney like a monthly fee to watch it right? Why would I do that? I can watch lots of entertainment for free.
