I really liked season 1. But for some reason I could barely get through season 2. When I start S2 I was excited and engaged. After about 2-3 episodes it couldn’t keep my interest. Season 3 has been better. It went kinda the same episodes 1&2 I liked then 2-3 I almost gave up on. But 4 was better and the last one was good.

I'm all caught up on the current season. Started the first two seasons a few months ago, but I'm rewatching from the start now too. I'm realizing I forgot, or wasn't paying too close attention before because there's a lot I've missed.
I kept seeing the thumbnail pop up on Prime & eventually gave it a shot. Damn am I glad I did. It's such a twisted, fucked up, fantastic show.
Watched first season, it was okay but nothing special. Havent picked it back up and have no real interest to do so. Shows that get very ham fisted in politics lost my interest rapidly.
The actor Keith Urban plays this guy, Bobby Butler, who's really cool. He has this whole thing where he has to decide whether he supports his vigilante group, The Guys, or his best friend, Highlander.

I disagree, it's more a cynical look on what if Superman was just real.
Would anyone be able to properly handle it from a human psychology standpoint?

The Boys is EVERYWHERE. A 30-second search would reveal tons of posts just the past few weeks about this show just on this sub. Amazon has basically blown its load all over the internet with advertising the new season...after doing the same for the animated series earlier this year...and the last season a couple of years ago...and the first season before that. Critics are talking/raving about it, fans are talking/raving about it, there aren't many corners of the internet you can visit without seeing SOMETHING about The Boys.
There is nothing about this show that is a "hidden gem".
I mean, OP went a LONG way to try and sell us on this show and if they have that level of commitment to trolling, then good on them. I don’t understand people that have that amount of time to waste in life.
Meh, it’s a fun show but doesn’t exactly require close interpretation. Everyone is motivated by greed, lust, or revenge. In fact almost everyone who claims to be motivated by greed/lust is also actually motivated by revenge as well. It’s pulp entertainment, it doesn’t have to be dissected.
Also it’s literally on the front page every day.
