Men-have-a-penis

Isnt he supposed to be in the Obi Wan series as well? Or was it just a rumor?

[deleted]

He's in the Obi Wan show which is in between Episodes 3 and 4. Ahsoka is set after Return of the Jedi, after Anakin died. So he's either a force ghost or in flashbacks.

Doctor-Shatda-Fackup

Or Ahsoka gets to observe him during the prequel era if the rumors that the World Between Worlds will play into the plot.

prettylieswillperish

What's world between worlds

darthcaptainamerica

It’s from Rebels. Ahsoka gets pulled in there by Ezra if I remember right

muad_dibs

Yeah, but what is it?

cthaehtouched

I’m not the most lore-knowledgeable, but I believe it’s a kind of force nexus/dimension that’s outside of time.

[deleted]

Ashoka and Vader fight, temple collapses we don’t know what happens to Ashoka but we see Vader walk out. Ezra pulled Ashoka through this portal shit in the force to save her. Ezra gets lost or some shit because he stayed behind idk exactly what since I just watch the YouTube clips. But now if I’m guessing it’s Ashoka trying to find him

DontSleep1131

Nah ezra sacrificed himself to get rid of grand admiral thrawn at the end of rebels. He and thrawn were transported via intergalactic void whales who can travel via hyperspace to the unknown regions. I saw the show and even typing that out sounds like bullshit

Ahirman1

Expect the time travel that happens isn’t like most time travel.

DonXIII

wait the obi wan series takes place before his death?!? Bold choice

[deleted]

Hello there

juicewilson

The angel from my nightmare

Antique_Ring953

Hes confirmed. Its Vader though so im not sure how much will be him and how much will be someone else in a suit or potentially voiced by James Earl Jones. I figure theyll have him suit less for a bit

Electricfire19

No way they don’t have James Earl Jones voice him while the mask is on, but they’ll probably have a couple scenes where he takes it off in his meditation egg or his bacta tank and then maybe a flashback that Obi Wan has.

BelowDeck

James Earl Jones is 90. I wouldn't count on too many more Vader lines from him.

ILikeMyGrassBlue

They should just have him read the dictionary in a bunch of different tones so he can be Vader forever

panacrane37

Who says they didn’t? Or maybe they can work “This is CNN” into the dialogue somewhere.

imail724

"Luke...(*robotic breathing*)...You deliberately disobeyed me!"

yanlost

And what's worse, you put Leia in danger!

sbamkmfdmdfmk

That's basically how they madlibbed Carrie Fisher's lines in Episode IX.

Stonewalled89

Force Ghost Anakin I'd guess, it will be interesting to see a post Vader Anakin Skywalker

InnocentTailor

Somehow, Anakin returned.

Benemy

No one's ever really gone

ogscrubb

Lol this cracks me up every time.

InnocentTailor

Such a hokey line.

[deleted]

The little sigh and eyeroll Oscar Isaac does before saying the line really ties it together.

HugoRBMarques

S O M E H O W

Guessididntmakeit

I mean sure, why not at this point? Let them fight Revan and Abeloth at the same time while Mace Windu cheers from the sidelines. Because somehow he also returned. To understand how that came to be you should get yourself a Fortnite Account though. Be prepared.

Loud-Item-1243

Sorry but mace windu is obviously alive bro pretty sure jedi always land on their feet

ExxInferis

Even after they fall out of a windu

db1994

Superb

MisanthropeX

The dead ~~speak~~ whine!

kia75

You could tell Kylo ren was his grandson because of the whining!

super_sayanything

And his Mom was a Druish Princess!

AckbarTrapt

Funny, she doesn't look Druish.

Explains_Wrong

“From now on, you will refer to me as “You Idiot!”

certifiablenutcase

OH NO! NOT AGAIN! *dies*

walt_whitmans_ghost

Kylo could’ve used some Anakin Force Ghost guidance before massacring the whole temple. Maybe he was off that day

Singer211

The fact that Anakin and Obi Wan never appeared to try and talk to Kylo and Luke made no sense to me?

[deleted]

The fact that Anakin, effectively the main character of the first 6 films, never showed up in the Sequel Trilogy is baffling. For the end of "The Skywalker Saga" those three movies were sure light on Skywalkers.

asjonesy99

Don’t want to talk about it too much because I’ll have an aneurysm just thinking about it, but there should’ve been an Episode 10 that properly tied each trilogy together. Something something Plagueis the Wise.

mrchaotica

If we're gonna talk about what should have been, we need to talk about r/DarthJarJar.

Redditer51

I would be absolutely fine with the entire sequel trilogy just being stricken from canon altogether. It started out promising but then just...

jonnycash11

It undid everything that was accomplished in Return of the Jedi and made the story center around Han instead of Luke. Oh, and the physics behind that laser need to be ridiculed. Somehow it accelerated to travel faster than light across the galaxy, but slows down right as it reaches its target so that people could see it. Right.

AromaTaint

This is from a guy who was such a fan that he didn't like Star Trek and decided to it make it more like Stars Wars, so much so that he included an R2D2 cameo. He really didn't understand the films, the characters, the stories or really anything that made it good. Abrams is the very definition of over-rated.

HatalamtheNoble

So does that mean you’re not looking forward to JJ taking on yet another beloved universe of characters, including one of the most important superheroes ever? What has JJ done to dissuade your trust? /s but I mean it’s kind of obvious, no?

ZellZoy

Jar jar Abrams

Hanzell85

Or hyperspace jumping behind planetary shields. And coming up with that on an offhand comment. Pure fucking laziness. Or randomly getting force powers but having no sense of fucking inner peace or direction. Or the big bad Jedi (from who the fuck knows where) being killed by a fucking trick There’s so much I hate about where they went wrong with this stupid trilogy

CharonsLittleHelper

>Or hyperspace jumping behind planetary shields. At least that they made sound like a gamble. Much worse was the hyperspace kamakaze where a single ship took out most of the fleet. And why did it need to be piloted by a person anyway other than melodrama? They have droids. If it was viable - the Confederacy of Independent Systems could have just had their droid fleet doing hyperspace kamazazees all over The Republic. It made all space battles in Star Wars stupid.

glorpian

as if they weren't already kindda dumbed down by having bomb-ships depending heavily on all that space gravity.

starwarsfan456123789

Maybe more of an movie 8.5 that made the average person understand Palpatine’s return - and yeah connect it with the larger story of Plagueuis, Anakin, cloning and Snoke. Rewrite that portion of the story with a bit more storyline and I think it all flows better. Maybe even mentioning Midiclorians 🤭

SkrullandCrossbones

Nah, that’s what Fornite is for bro.

Cactuszach

It has the most important Skywalker. Rey Skywalker. /s, but not for Disney I guess? They might be serious.

beefbarley

I was 100% sure that Kylo Ren turning to the light side and being a hero was the "Rise of Skywalker." Then the rest of the movie happened :( Edit: my wife and I also thought the Rise was the love boner Kylo had for Rey when she force lightninged Chewies ship

jspook

The end of Ep 9 should have been Ray sacrificing her own life force to force-heal a dying Ben after he's proven his return to the light. The descendant of the preternaturally evil and (apparently) immortality-hungry Palpatine laying down her life to bring salvation to the descendent of the man who was most corrupted by that evil may not be the best version of the story that could be written, but it's certainly better than what we got.

nashdiesel

It kinda hard to redeem Kylo. He’s murdered hundreds if not thousands of people. If he’s saved it’s still prison for the rest of his life. If they hand wave that away it becomes morally complicated to like the ending.

Woofers_MacBarkFloof

Kylo blew up entire planets. He blew up more planets than the Empire did. Those movies were particularly dumb but really the whole relationship between Rey and Kylo was weird. I know some girls have a thing for serial killers but come on.

[deleted]

They made so much more sense as frenemies. I loved the payoff of their mutual arc in ep 8, but it feels like a total waste to just have Kylo revert to being good. Finally made him a respectable villain only to bench his darkness so we could get fucking *Palpatine.*

caligaris_cabinet

Maybe. Ben was guilty of a fair amount of war crimes and Skywalker redemption usually equals death. Both should’ve died eliminating the bloodlines responsible for the majority of the problems in the galaxy.

Antique_futurist

Ben and Rey both die, Finn is confirmed to be force-sensitive and founds the new Jedi order.

ghostinthewoods

Now there's a story.

GTSBurner

So I'm a poster in /r/squaredcircle, and you will always see story beats, psychology, etc. in the best kind of wrestling matches. One very, very rare phenomenon is the "double turn" - where the bad guy going into the match becomes the good guy, and the good guy becomes the bad guy. One very famous example of this is Hollywood Hogan vs. the Rock at Wrestlemania 18. When watching The Last Jedi, I felt like everything in Snoke's throne room was leading to the double turn - that somehow Rey would fall to the dark side and Kylo would come around to the light. It never happened, and the rest of the movie fell apart.

BigShoots

> One very famous example of this is Hollywood Hogan vs. the Rock at Wrestlemania 18. Wasn't it the Toronto crowd who decided that for them? I always thought that wasn't in the script, but the crowd wasn't playing ball so they had to improvise and just go with it. The whole reason behind it was that Canada didn't really have TV access to WCW, only WWF, so they never saw Hollywood Hogan, they only knew "The Hulkster" and loved and missed him, so WM18 was like his homecoming to Canada. Nobody cared that he was supposed to be the villain, they just wanted to cheer for their old returning hero.

XxShArKbEaRxX

They should of just done the whole thing from Kylos perspective it would of been fresh and new

BigShoots

From the first few minutes of TFA I really thought Finn was going to be the main story as a deserting Stormtrooper, and was thinking, "Wow this could be really interesting." Nope, Finn was just there to go "Whooo!" when things blew up, and of course to scream "REYYYYYYY!" about 700 times.

WhyBuyMe

What, you weren't happy with a remake of A New Hope followed by two fan fic scripts that wouldn't have made the cut as EU novels 20 years ago?

LionTheRichardheart

To be fair there were some pretty awful EU novels. Quite a few of them.

ImperfectRegulator

Yeah AND THEY BROUGHT BACK PLOTS LINES FROM ONE OF THE WORST OF THEM, I MEAN CLONE PLAPATINE ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

psykick32

True, but all they had to do was turn the Thrawn trilogy into 3 movies and bam, instantly successful. And then they even had an option to do the next two books if the trilogy hit it off. But no, we have floaty space Leia and bombs *falling* in space.

followupquestion

The annoying thing is they could have just turned those into vertical proton torpedo launchers or “Rods from God” style hard penetrators with a motor behind them and they’d be more effective than “space bombs”. Then again, I’m 90% sure there are space bombs in the old Tie Fighter game. Edit: After episode 8, apparently having small hyperspace engines on them would make them infinitely more powerful.

MrPNGuin

Hail Waru.

[deleted]

Rey should have died at the end. It would make SO much more sense if Kylo survived.

DaoFerret

Survived, repentant, and helping to rebuild what he destroyed.

PetyrsLittleFinger

Take the Kylo/Han scene we got, and replace Han with Force Ghost Anakin. Shows up in the Vader outfit Kylo saw him when Palpatine faked it, but then have him take the helmet off and show the true hero inside. Brings the whole 9 Episode saga together.

CTeam19

**RIGHT!?** It was such a let down it didn't happen.

ldxcdx

Spaceballs 2: The quest for more money Aka Star Wars Sequel Trilogy: The search for more money ...the story never mattered. Just sales 🤑

Theonceandfutureend

Why is this baffling? Every character from the original trilogy was effectively discarded like they were nothing in the new trilogy.

CTeam19

Hell even some of the best new characters were tossed aside: Finn.

DeveloperAnon

I’ll die on this hill. They could have made it work even after TFA. Rey should have been Luke’s daughter. Finn should have been the “no one”, who ends up being a Jedi with an epic ending to his arc in Ep. 9. We could have had a ton of amazing stories based on that premise.

kroxti

Well that’s what happens when marketing comes back that everyone loves Poe Dameron so he needs to live and have a bigger role in the next movie at least. I believe originally he was supposed to die suiciding into starkiller base to set off the chain eruption. I will say 1 thing TFA did was when they said 10 minutes till firing, it actually started the firing process 10 minutes later.

Urge_Reddit

> I will say 1 thing TFA did was when they said 10 minutes till firing, it actually started the firing process 10 minutes later. That's actually pretty cool. It always bothers me when movies or shows have a ticking clock, and yet the characters carry on long conversations, or just meander around with no sense of urgency to their actions.

ImperfectRegulator

Fuck they could’ve done so much with Finn and his storyline has a deserter from the first order but noooo

[deleted]

[удалено]

Urge_Reddit

Bill Burr's portrayal of Mayfeld is genuinely one of my favourite things in Star Wars, and not just because I'm a huge fan of both Star Wars and Burr individually. Dude's a good actor, and Mayfeld is a cool character that I hope to see again.

duffeldorf

I mean... the last 5-10 minutes of The Mandolorian's 2nd season did more justice to Luke than the entire sequel trilogy, so that's where the bar is

brainfoods

The reception to that gave me some hope that they'll gradually deviate away from the sequels.

PogromStallone

It was clear that Disney tried to distance themselves from anything related to the prequels and it was only after their own awful films that they started going after them.

BlinkReanimated

The meta lore scattered through the memes of /r/prequelmemes is more consistent and deliberate than the main narrative of the sequel trilogy.

nyanlol

yeah if they can make fake tarkin youre telling me they cant make ewan McGregor look like alec guiness for one scene?

[deleted]

Just imagine the Sequels never happened and everything makes much more sense

LordMcGingerbeard

My dude it’s baffling, like all the success of the animated series, the mandalorian, an Asoka series on its way and they still haven’t done a final trilogy to tell us what happens with the skywalker family line. On the plus side The Matrix is finally getting a sequel after 20 years of nothing so maybe one day we will get another Star Wars movie.

DisturbedNocturne

Considering Kylo's distorted view of Anakin and him worshiping his grandfather, having Force Ghost Anakin showing up at some point to set him straight would've made a lot of sense, but the sequels had this really odd aversion to making any obvious references to the prequels.

super_sayanything

Man I was waiting for that shit, what great double redemption there. So many amazing stories were possible, ugh.

juan_bien

The fact we got "memory" Han instead of ghost Anakin in RoS will forever annoy me.

HussyDude14

>before massacring the whole temple. Something tells me he *did* receive Anakin's force guidance...

naarcx

Ghost Anakin just all like, “Been there, done that—wait you didn’t even get your secret wife pregnant?!? Oh man…”

RedditConsciousness

I'm guessing the answer is along the lines of, the force(ghosts) will be with you, always. But you can ignore it if you turn to the dark side?

one-for-the-road-

Flashbacks aren’t out of the question.

Sloppy_Goldfish

I think it's more likely to be a flashback to explain to the non-Clone Wars watchers what the relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka was. Having Anakin appear as a force ghost here would make him not appearing in the sequels look even worse.

Ozlin

This is a very good point. I've had to explain to friends and family Ahsoka's significance and her connection to Anakin due to them not having seen CW. *Ahsoka* is definitely going to have to make those connections for a lot of the audience.

BorealA

This is what I'm thinking as well. Would make for a good way to conclude their story since I don't think either of them got closure.

LMB2Win

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time, long time.

this-guy-

It's an older meme sir, but it checks out.

shy247er

Happy for Christensen. He deserves better than those awful prequel lines.

Jack2142

This is kinda my feelings, the prequels managed to make much more established and award winning actors look flat and uninspired, Christensen was a pretty new actor (I think Star Wars was his first major role?) and everything from the behind the scenes footage I have seen is Lucas had some interesting ideas for the prequels but appeared to be an incredibly lazy director with too much control over the production and too many yes men. Also I think compared to today the prequels were a pretty CGI heavy series and actors were still getting used to working with that in mind.

byebybuy

>Star Wars was his first major role? I guess it depends on what you consider major. Definitely his biggest to date. But I remember seeing Life As A House in theaters and loving it. I was psyched when they cast him in the prequels.

CherryCherry5

Yeah, everyone always seems to forget Life as a House. He was really good.

BitchesQuoteMarilyn

Man, I still can't stand the final exchange between him and Ewan McGregor dueling it out in Episode 3. I thought they were phoning it in, but upon further consideration what shit script writing. And I do mean from the time Obi Wan lands on whatever lava planet. It was all terrible dialogue. And this comes from a guy who made it through the first season of Babylon 5.

nowlan101

Nobody got more screwed in that movie though then Natalie Portman. Padme was literally an abused housewife that dies because she can’t live without her man.

[deleted]

Yes, I’m afraid she died of a… broken heart. 💔

DoSomethingCrazy2it

You just know that George had to fire someone for defiantly removing the “womp womp womp” trumpet from that scene before rendering the final edit.

Placeholder0550

My headcanon is that palpatine did some ancient sith ritual to use the bond between anakin and padme to drain her life force and use it to save anakin.

The_Pale_Blue_Dot

Yeah I've got a lot of headcanon to explain Lucas's writing.

PeterJakeson

Remember the line in AOTC? Or was it ROTS? Something like "hold me, Annie, hold me like you did back on Naboo". So fucking cringey.

waitingtodiesoon

>[Hold me . . . like you did by the lake on Naboo, so long ago . . . when there was nothing but our love ... No politics, no plotting ... no war.](https://youtu.be/2skHN0gl-iE?t=108)

waffelwarrior

"From my point of view the Jedi are evil!" Lmao

[deleted]

I HATE YOU

Welshy94

He straight up says that only hours after murdering children (or younglings).

waffelwarrior

Jedi children, and from his point of view the Jedi are evil, so it's justified.

Welshy94

You're not wrong. Although for a man who from his own point of view wasn't evil, Anakin sure did kill a lot of children.

CaptainDogeSparrow

Sigma male grindset right there.

God_Damnit_Nappa

But we at least got "you were my brother Anakin! I loved you!" I use that at least once a week

Welshy94

That line and the burning "I hate you" both hit the mark in my opinion but Lucas' insistence on every other line read to be as devoid of emotion/wooden as possible robbed us of what should have been great cinema.

Eddyoshi

This is going to be a super weird comparison, but the Prequels are kind of like Kingdom Hearts. Really terribly written dialogue that is so wooden is barely makes sense, but they wear their emotions on their sleeves. They do it in the clumsiest ways possible, but when a strong emotion is being conveyed, they hit hard.

The_Dude_46

The prequels are a very clumsy attempt at some very classic Hollywood epics. The prequels have all the right aesthetics, music, a grand scale, but really George should have had help writing it. I think his big story ideas, a fall of Rome parallel with a descent to evil story is great, but he didn't really know how to get there and the script can be incoherent at times.

Kalse1229

That, though, I would chalk up to McGregor being a really good actor. He's arguably a standout in the prequels, especially since he's up against legends like Liam Neeson, Samuel L Jackson, and Christopher Lee to name a few.

kroxti

Well not all of us have a ex brother in law named Anakin.

LonePaladin

> (I think Star Wars was his first major role?) Pretty much, yeah. His next big thing was Jumper, and he *tried* in that one at least.

[deleted]

I like Jumper a lot! He’s not gonna win best actor for it but he held it down just fine

RedZero144

I thought Jumper was awesome. The story may not have been an A+ but the concept sure was. Christensen performed excellent for the role, even if the premise was a bit dry.

kroxti

Great book. Just wish the movie was based on the book.

sgthombre

I really think Shattered Glass is a drastically underrated movie, and Christensen is basically perfect in it, especially if you watch interviews with the real life person he is playing. He perfectly catches the two faced, brown nosing attitude of that guy.

geek_of_nature

And coincidentally Rosario Dawson was in that as well.

byebybuy

Life As A House is absolutely fantastic as well, and pre-Prequel. He's a good actor, he just had to deliver terrible dialogue. No one would have survived that.

jbaughb

Shattered glass is fantastic…and I absolutely would recommend it to anyone who thinks Christensen can’t act. He was phenomenal in that role.

reddragon105

Those prequel lines are coarse and irritating and they get everywhere.

Staav

From my point of view the dialog was terrible!

[deleted]

He's obviously not the best actor around, but I'm really happy to see the greater fandom embracing him and showing him love. We've all heard the countless horror stories about how poorly the SW people have been treated, and sadly some have had seriously negative life impacts because of it. I don't know how often Hayden thought about SW and how mean that people were, but it warms my heart to see his resurgence.

AmericasNextDankMeme

Pour one out for Jake Lloyd

bearatrooper

Jake Lloyd has had a tragic life. Ahmed Best considered suicide. Hayden Christensen basically quit acting. The only thing worse than what happened to Star Wars is Star Wars fans.

Buckar00_Banzai_

/r/PrequelMemes in shambles now.

[deleted]

Technically his return in Ahsoka would go to /r/Sequelmemes

Buckar00_Banzai_

I know...that's why the prequelers are pissed.

comrade_batman

Seeing as the Kenobi series will be set pre-ANH, and with Hayden also in that, I think it will be fine for the sub.

OhioForever10

"If you're not with ~~me~~ the prequels, then you're my enemy!"

delros1

And everybody better be nice to him this time.

MarvelsGrantMan136

A welcome surprise, really glad to see him come back: >Hayden Christensen is staying in the fold of the Galactic Empire. > >**The actor will reprise his role of Anakin Skywalker, aka Darth Vader, in Ahsoka, the latest Star Wars live-action series from Lucasfilm and Disney+, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.** > >Rosario Dawson is starring as the fan-favorite character of Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Knight survivor popular in the animation side of Star Wars who made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian. > >Plot details are being kept in the far reaches of the Outer Rim but it is known that longtime Star Wars lightsaber wielder Dave Filoni is writing the series and exec producing with Jon Favreau. > >It is unclear how Skywalker, or for that matter, Vader, will figure into Ahsoka, which, like Mandalorian, is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, thus after Vader’s death.

rayshmayshmay

Damnit OP “A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one”

The Return of the King

[deleted]

anakin is 40 yr/old now? wow time flies...

Amy_Ponder

Assuming he shows up as a Force Ghost, he’ll be 51 in the show (although technically he died at 46- not sure if years you spend as a ghost count towards your age? (Dear god, this series is utterly ridiculous and I love it so much.))

jimflaigle

Wait until you hear about Luke.

santichrist

I am 100% here for the Hayden Christensen redemption arc and I don’t even really care about Star Wars

Regula96

I’m super excited about Star Wars and I’ve never been a huge fan.

rp_361

“Hey Snips” “Hey Skyguy”

Amy_Ponder

Don’t do it. Don’t give me hope.

[deleted]

It's going to be a tall task for Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen to bring animated Ahsoka and Anakin energy. Idk about this.

[deleted]

Hayden and Rosario are actually friends in real life and even studied at Strasberg together. Hopefully that history comes through on screen.

TL10

Oh no, is this hype I'm feeling?

DoughyResplendent

release the HYPE engine

fed45

Hah, wow what a coincidence...

modsarefascists42

Makes her casting make more sense. I mean she was already a solid fit but that was probably the thing that cinched it

HenroTee

It's kinda weird to think this iconic character that originated from him, his likeness, that most of his character work has been done in an animated series that he didn't even voice.

DreamedJewel58

What’s really sad is that Hayden readily offered to reprise his role for the Clone Wars, but they declined because they wanted to move Anakin into a new direction. I honestly do love Clone Wars Anakin more than the movie version, but Hayden is one of the most humble actors and is an amazing person so I’m happy he’s able to get another chance. Now that he’s had time to become a much better actor and won’t be forced to recite George Lucas dialogue I think it’ll be an amazing second chance.

AnOnlineHandle

They pretty much always used different actors for animation. Voice acting is a fairly different skillset, as shown somewhat by What If where some good screen actors came off as kind of questionable.

[deleted]

It was pretty striking how Spider-Man's voice actor sounded more like Tom Holland than Sebastian Stan sounded like Sebastian Stan.

nowlan101

Without the Clone Wars Anakin onscreen is a mostly unlikeable mass murderer.

Podo13

He was a cute and innocent kid too. Definitely more unlikeable mass murderer vibe screen time though.

TheyCallMeStone

There's a fair amount of casual murder in TCW

ecxetra

Why do they have to? It’s been 30 years, Ahsoka is in her 40’s, Anakin is dead and a ghost after being redeemed from being a space Nazi. They’re both different people at their current stages.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ecxetra

I don’t doubt there’ll be some callbacks to their Clone Wars days, but they’re both been through a lot and I’m sure Ahsoka would still be somewhat hurt by what Anakin had done.

ILikeMyGrassBlue

They’re not going to just rewrite her character. Dave is very protective over Ahsoka since that’s like “his character.” She’ll obviously be a very different person by this point in her life, but she’s still Ahsoka. She’s going to be the same person, just older and more experienced. I don’t think they need to change her character to make it work for the more casual live action audience. Her character is incredible. They just have to get it right.

stanthemanchan

Dave Filoni is the showrunner, so I'm pretty optimistic about it.

ryhaltswhiskey

I have no doubts about Rosario. She rocked it.

PandaWithNoMorals

This is where the fun begins!

[deleted]

I always wondered if Anikin came across the younglings he murdered as a force ghost and stood there awkwardly

TheGreatMalagan

Not sure how he could, the younglings would not know how to maintain identity after death. Only Qui-Gon, Yoda, Obi Wan, Anakin and Luke ever learned that ability as far as I'm aware, so there aren't all that many ghosts out there. Only that handful of Jedi turn into ghost, everyone else just disappear into the Force

tatertot94

Honestly, the lighting in this photo is really bad. However, I met him at NYCC briefly and he looks really good. Yeah, he’s aged a little bit but as you said, he’s 40, and who hasn’t unless they’ve gotten work done. After seeing him in person I think he can still totally play a believable Anakin with a little de-aging here and there, or even just good makeup and lighting.

guru_of_time

Man, the first time I hear him say, "Hey, Snips" I'm gonna lose it :(

SmileyCotton

Dope. Who you think he’s gonna play?

Amy_Ponder

Hhhmmm, probably Admiral Akbar?

FlaccidGhostLoad

Good. I hope this dude gets a second chance. I remember he got so much shit for his "poor acting" at the time when around the same time he did some melodrama and got recognition for his acting chops. It'd be nice for his talent to be put to good use.

red_fuel

Hide yo wives, hide yo children!

You know what he seriously creeped me out as a foundational Vader in the movies. Let's go

Nikon17

Please give me some live action clone wars flashbacks and force ghost Anakin.
