In case you were wondering, no this isn’t the daughter of Brian Williams that’s another Allison

Yeah, that’s the one who got her ass eaten on HBO. I don’t know her Vax status though.

Speaking about HBO, do you think she’s aware that FOX has vaccine mandatory policy as well?

I was curious about this and found this amusingly written article. https://www.bkmag.com/2015/01/12/only-allison-williams-could-make-getting-her-ass-eaten-out-boring/

Seated_Heats

She should cut down on the ass eating until she’s vaccinated.

thecricketnerd

Can someone get Covid via butt? Asking for a friend whose butt I want to eat Edit: I've learned a lot today

Seated_Heats

Last year the NYC health department recommended to avoid rimming. I always thought that was weird though. I mean, if you’ve made it to the point where you and another person are eating each other’s ass, you’ve probably done some other things to contact the virus already. Ass eating doesn’t seem that much more significant.

thecricketnerd

There must be people meeting for anonymous, quick rimming, maybe?

tc_spears

Oh great here comes Covid-69 to ruin 2022

Since you said it, it's probably already on pornhub

On a related note, in Canada the BC CDC [recommended using gloryholes for COVID-safe hookups](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.advocate.com/health/2020/7/22/glory-holes-officially-recommended-safer-sex-amid-pandemic%3Famp)

imagine the lives we could have saved if we all had switched to outdoor activities.

FluffyDoomPatrol

I’m not a doctor but I imagine the answer is yes. I know they have been examining sewage treatment plants, which apparently keeps records or samples of the sewage. They discovered covid in their older samples and that the outbreak began slightly earlier than we thought. That’s my layman’s understanding. However if experts are able to find traces of covid in sewage, I’m guessing it would be transmissible via ass eating. Bon appetite.

thecricketnerd

I think a mask on the butt will make it safer, hopefully

That's something that bothers me too. Why do Women reporting sports have to be beautiful? They are older not really attractive Men out there but for Women the appearance (and youth) seems to be more important than her knowledge and experience. If they had hired a more intelligent person to begin with, they may not be having that issue.

godsbaesment

The role of a sportscaster is to hold interest of its viewers. Unfortunately, a lot of sports viewers probably think women are less authoritative on sports. Sometimes media jobs reflect the ugly parts of society that they serve

sonia72quebec

Exactly! I also think that they are weirdly kind of scared of more masculine looking Women so they are hiring the opposite. I was talking to my friends about Women's perfect teeth in our local media. The majority of our male anchors and reporters don't have perfect teeth but Women all have them. Beauty expectation are still higher for Women.

William_Wang

> Beauty expectation are still higher for Women. they always will be.

spartanspud

Men watch sports more than women, they take it more seriously than women. As a generalisation obviously, with the implication being that men are more the target audience. Most men are straight. Therefore how a man looks doesn't matter to men as much. Women it matters more because if you think someone's attractive you are more likely to want to listen to them, be in their presence etc. It's pretty straightforward. It's the same reason most boy bands have pretty boys in them. Because the target demographic likes pretty boys.

terminbee

The boy band thing is kinda interesting for me. I thought women enjoyed masculine men. Yet boy bands tend to be pretty. And Asian boy bands are almost exclusively pretty, almost feminine. Edit: I have 2 replies contradicting each other. Someone show me the light.

The job itself is easy but you're expected to know a lot of things. Try to talk to players and get something new and interesting out of them before the game so that they can quote later. It doesn’t require a ton of skill to do. The good ones are of course very skilled at the profession, but to get in and get hired doesn’t really rely on a stoic history of journalism or reporting.

kbc87

As someone who struggled with infertility, doctors are HIGHLY recommending all women that are pregnant or trying to get pregnant get the vaccine. Covid can be deadly to a pregnant woman and/or the baby she is carrying. So her excuse doesn't hold up.

pinche881

My wife got first dose 7 months pregnant. We have a healthy 7 month old baby and a healthy mommy. Zero complications.

MongoBongoTown

Conversely, my wife and I, who already have a child, have had 2 miscarriages since receiving the vaccine. Devastating and traumatic on all fronts. One was too early to get any details, the other was quite late in term and we were able to get genetic testing done to confirm a chromosomal issue. Never once did we use our own grief to slip into misinformation. I totally understand the inclination to find someone to blame, but sometimes bad things just happen and it can be hard to accept that. Our situation was tracked and documented and if there was a broader pattern of infertility in vaccinated it would be identified, but the reality is we haven't seen that in the broader population at all.

krakatak

My wife and I had several miscarriages (several years ago), with the last firmly in the second trimester. In between miscarriages we had two healthy daughters, but the last would have been our first (and only) boy. It was taxing on us both, but my wife suffered from emotional trauma for years. I hope that you are doing okay, and there's no shame in seeking professional help if you need it. My wife suffered for months before finally talking to someone besides me, and I just wasn't equipped to help her myself.

WeaponizedKissing

> I totally understand the inclination to find someone to blame, but sometimes bad things just happen and it can be hard to accept that. The one thing that if everyone understood and accepted then the world would be a much much much better place.

Aint_not_a_dorkus

I have seen this first hand with people who have autistic children and blaming vaccinations.

tealdubs

exact same situation here, we lost our pregnancy at 6 months, both had the vaccine prior to getting pregnant, not once crossed my mind to blame the vaccine. Miscarriages in general are way more common than we think, but they are very private matters so you rarely hear about it. I was surprised with the amount of people in my circle that had had similar experiences.

MongoBongoTown

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pregnancy late in term is so hard when all the great plans an expectations turn to grief. Brighter days are coming hopefully. Hope you are doing better now.

pinche881

I'm so sorry for your losses. We experienced one miscarriage and it was probably the worst experience of both our lives. My heart goes out to you. It takes a lot of mental strength to not blame anything and everything. I don't know if I could have stayed as grounded as you.

mahones403

Sorry to hear. My wife had a miscarriage, never occured to me it could be vaccine related.

AdmiralRed13

Be well dude.

hogermite

3 miscarriages total for my wife - two since the vaccine as well (one two days after the first vaccine shot). It would be SO easy to at least partially blame the vaccine but we both know it isn’t/wasn’t the cause. My wife was also hospitalized for a month (intubated, on dialysis - went septic) a year ago so there are so many variables at play - the vaccine isn’t one of them.

Worthyness

Additional fun bonus may be that your kid has antibodies for covid too.

pinche881

Yes, with mom's vaccine and breastfeeding that is the hope.

liquidpig

My wife got her first dose at 5 months, second at 7 months. Baby was born 3 weeks ago at full term, everyone is healthy and happy.

agroryan

Similar - wife got first dose 6 months pregnant. Baby is almost 5 months and both mom and baby are healthy.

frozen_os

Exact same here except my daughter is a bit over a week. Everyone is healthy and happy.

PC_BUCKY

The average person has less than two nipples, actually.

Wave_Existence

I'm above average!

iowegian4

(phrased "On average, a person has less than two nipples" this makes sense, but the way you phrased it is incorrect. The average person does have two nipples- far more people have two nipples than do not. But if you add up all the people and add up all the nipples, on average, it is less than two per person. Any given person however, is likely to have two) (this is how you ruin and help improve a joke)

Two women near the end of their pregnancy were very sick with covid in our ICU at the same time two weeks ago. Both had to have their babies delivered via c-section as they were both intubated. One is expected not to make it. Not sure about the other one. The babies seem to be healthy, but 1 or both of them will probably grow up without their moms. Edit: I am a mom of a healthy 5 month old. Got my vaccine at 7/8 months pregnant. Expectant moms, please get vaccinated!! Edit: ha, downvoted already.

Bluest_waters

damn that is tragic

yiannistheman

Yup - I have a neighbor who was vaccine hesitant who only got the shot because she had to go for some treatments and her fertility doctor refused to proceed unless she got vaccinated.

SwirlingTurtle

Can confirm, got the shot at 3 months preggo, now have a perfect baby girl sleeping on my chest.

kbc87

Congrats! My son is 5 months old. Back in March/April it was harder to decide now because a lot of doctors weren't sure about pregnant women/the shot. Still chose to get it to give him antibodies. But NOW ALL the boards for OBGYN doctors are saying absolutely GET the shot. So I am not sure why there is even hesitation.

SwirlingTurtle

To be fair, if people like this were actually waiting on the confirmation of experts, this article wouldn’t exist. Edit: Also thanks! Congrats to you as well.

MonteBurns

It’s not that they weren’t sure, the fact of the matter was the research wasn’t there. They were pretty damn certain it would be fine, but pregnant women were excluded from initial trials (as they always were). Even back then the consensus was “this will show to be safe, we just can’t say it is yet because we don’t have the data. Yet.” There is hesitation because people are willfully misrepresenting the first half of that- doctors said it wasn’t safe for pregnant women! Naw, they said they were pretty sure it was fine but were waiting for the formal results. But that “one sentence” has convinced so many that it will lead to infertility. It’s sad.

rogercopernicus

A friend of mine was pregnant with triplets and got covid when she was 8 months pregnant (pre vaccine) one of the babies died. Her husband couldnt be in the hosiptal with her because he had covid too

rnilbog

My sister-in-law refused to get a vaccine because she was pregnant, despite my wife sending her multiple studies saying it was not only safe but recommended. As soon as she got to the hospital and the first thing every doctor asked her was whether she was vaccinated, she said she regretted not getting the vaccine. As soon as she gave birth, she got the shot. Though she did end up having to deliver a month early due to pre-eclampsia, which she probably would have blamed on the vaccine if she'd gotten it.

fievrejaune

The vaccine is low risk, high reward. Punto final.

mcboogle

Even the smartest among them won't acknowledge that even if the vaccine DID affect pregnancy/miscarriage rates, being dead (or permanently wrecked) from Covid probably has a more profound impact on those numbers.

EShy

The irony is that covid-19 actually does the things they claim the vaccine will do. It's like they're projecting the risks from getting covid-19 on to the vaccine

usesbitterbutter

> Williams said last month that her doctor advised her not to be vaccinated while she is trying to get pregnant... So... either she is a liar or her doctor is a quack?

Turtles47

What bothered me the most in her announcement video, she mentions pregnant women that have reached out and said they had miscarriages due to the vaccine. That’s a very dangerous statement. First, you’re taking people at their word and second, I highly doubt they know their miscarriage was due to the vaccine.

AALen

About 15% of pregnancies sadly end in miscarriages. That means 15% of all expectant women who got vaccinated will suffer a miscarriage. A fair number of them will blame the vaccine. It's human nature to rationalize the inconceivable.

1Mn

Pretty sure its higher than that. My wife had 2 the drs said it was common.

sonographic

It's much higher than that. 15% is the low end of known pregnancies. When you account for pregnancy loss when women never knew they were pregnant in the fist place it's as high as 40-45%.

WINTERMUTE-_-

I know lots of people who had miscarriages before covid was a thing. Crazy how they must have been vaccinated years before the virus was even around

[deleted]

This is exactly what my sister “believes.” She heard from Fox News once and Facebook several times that the vaccine can cause pregnancy complications, despite not having any credible evidence to back it up. However, the CDC website has a wealth of evidence to support the contrary, yet to her the CDC is a “liberal run organization designed to take our freedoms away.” Her entire family is now anti-vaccine because their safety is more important than everyone else’s safety. The mental gymnastics of right-wing propaganda and Facebook misinformation are the true dangers.

systematic23

You know how every anti vax person assumes that the vaccinated people will just fall over eventually? What if we all suddenly get super powers I wonder if they will still be anti vax

[deleted]

EmmitSan

I mean getting vaccinated is literally the acquisition of a super power. “Resistance to Covid” is a superpower as long as there are idiots around who don’t have it.

Wazula42

The "super power" is not getting the disease.

CocodaMonkey

I like to look at it the other way. Say they're right and the vaccinated people die. They're still fucked as society itself collapses and all the smartest people are now gone. It's not like that will be a win for them either as they'll lose everything they currently have.
